Alex (he/him) is a Mental Health Counselor who believes that everyone’s voice deserves to be heard and that we have the ability to thrive when proper attention is given to our mind, body, and soul. Oftentimes, our voices are buried underneath preconceived notions bestowed upon us from others and even ourselves. Alex has a passion for working with individuals to discover their voice, explore and evaluate their values, examine their personal and professional relationships, and ultimately help people find peace within the context of their lives. Alex utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach using skills obtained from a plethora of working environments. While primarily utilizing a strength based, person-centered approach, Alex is also proficient in the teachings of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Systems therapy, among other modalities. You’re thoughtful, capable, and often the one others rely on—but inside, you may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. Many of my clients struggle with overgiving, difficulty setting boundaries, relationship stress, or burnout. I help you understand your patterns, strengthen your voice, and build healthier, more balanced relationships so you can feel grounded, respected, and more like yourself again. I specialize in helping high-functioning adults navigate anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. Using a trauma-informed, integrative approach (CBT, DBT, EMDR), I support you in setting boundaries, regulating emotions, and creating healthier patterns in your life and relationships. I am a bilingual (English–Spanish) clinical mental health counselor with 14 years in the field. I provide telehealth therapy for clients residing in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Kansas. I work with adolescents and adults facing life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges. My clients seek relief from stress, clarity about their emotions, and the confidence to create lasting change.
My speciality is working with clients who are feeling stressed out and overwhelmed due to anxiety, feeling burnt out, or both. I support people in learning how to take charge of their anxiety by better understanding the physical and cognitive aspects of anxiety and developing a wide array of coping skills. Managing stress and anxiety is also about learning to set boundaries for yourself and others. I also help people with anxiety-based disorders such as OCD and social anxiety. I also help clients recovery from narcissistic/toxic abuse. My practice is a holistic approach which focuses on my clients' strengths and how to use them to their advantage in managing their mental health.
I work with people who are looking to embark on a process of intentional healing, self understanding, growth and actualization. I'm here to support you if you are struggling with anxiety, depression, identity issues, interpersonal challenges, difficulties with motivation and focus, healing of trauma, and/or wrestling with life's big questions. Therapy, to me, is a highly collaborative process. You are driving the bus and deciding where to go, and I am here to help you navigate through a process of deep listening, reflection, and psychoeducation. Sessions often focus on expressing emotions, needs, desires and boundaries effectively. We can also explore trauma healing, life goals, passions or spiritual beliefs. Examining communication skills and relationship dynamics helps to strengthen interpersonal connections. We can do talk therapy, or add in creativity, play, art making, music and/or movement! Please reach out if you think we would be a good match and we can discuss what it might look like to work together.
Our weight-obsessed culture chastises and shames you, as though your body size is not only a personal moral failing, but a reliable indicator of poor health. Over time, you started internalizing this anti-fat bias, and often treat yourself with the same level of contempt. You either avoid seeking medical care altogether, or expose yourself to the risk of weight stigma (far more harmful than any presumed adverse effect of your weight itself). You forgot how to nourish yourself – sometimes forbidding yourself food, sometimes isolating in shame for a binge, sometimes "paying" via purge. But friend, you are meant to bloom - not shrink. I know this may be difficult to believe right now, but you are already lovely, wise, and worthy of much more in life. I’ll hold that thought for you as you relearn it, and we use it as the foundation of our work. From there, we’ll integrate cognitive behavioral strategies with EMDR to gain insights from the present to heal your old wounds once and for all. You deserve to fully enjoy, nourish, and be at peace with your body. Learn to better understand your thoughts and emotions, and stop wasting energy on what others think. Explore the root causes of the shame you've been taught, and work to move past it – your deepest self longs to be known. Call me now for your free consultation, and let’s get started today!
We come to therapy with our struggles. The hope is that we leave them behind, and go forward in life with freedom and joy. I am here to offer counseling and therapeutic support to you as you unburden yourself of limitation, and seek your innate capacity for transformation. My job is to care about you as you learn just how deeply you can care for you, too. To me, therapy is listening deeply – I listen to you. And you listen to yourself, to hear your irreplaceable, undivided, internally original voice. I am inspired always by the incredible power, dignity and strength it shows every time you simply arrive in session. All of my work is embraced with the spirit of mindfulness meditation, of which I have been a devoted student for over 15 years. Mindfulness is simply allowing our thoughts the space to be seen fully, in a non-judgmental way, so that we may see ourselves clearly, with compassion, and choose our course in life with wisdom. I happily look forward to offering you support and guidance through whatever challenge you face right now. Together let’s transform your struggle into strength.
Welcome! Thank you for being here. I'm so excited to get to know you and your nervous system. As a trauma and somatic therapist, I help women process unresolved trauma through a Somatic Experiencing framework while also helping them increase self-esteem, self-confidence, set healthy boundaries and ultimately live an intentional life outside of survival mode. I work with women experiencing anxiety, dissociation, trauma flashbacks/memories and psychosomatic symptoms. Psychosomatic symptoms include, muscle tension, burning sensations, non-epileptic seizures, heart palpitations, tightness in the throat, tingling, IBS, migraines, etc. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I work with your nervous system to help create safety in your body, increase the capacity for you to be with uncomfortable emotions/sensations, and discharge stored traumatic energy so that your nervous system can return to a more balanced state. If you're ready to connect with your body, somatic therapy is for you. I offer ongoing individual therapy sessions as well as DROP-IN sessions. Drop-in sessions are the perfect way to try out Somatic Experiencing without committing to ongoing therapy. To book your drop-in session, visit my website and book online. I'm looking forward to connecting with you soon! :)

I help people understand themselves with profound depth, not just with symptom management. If you're ready to look at patterns, relationships, and what keeps you stuck, this work is for you. Can you dream of a life no longer haunted by your past? Are you feeling limited in your relationships? Contemporary psychoanalysis offers a unique space to understand not only what has happened to you, but how your history continues to shape your inner world, often outside of conscious awareness. I help people understand themselves with profound depth; not just with symptom management. If you're ready to look at patterns, relationships, and what keeps you painfully stuck, this work is for you. Therapy is an emancipatory undertaking: the aim is not to help you become better adjusted to what has constrained you, but to help you become less beholden to it in the long run. I bring warmth, candor, and sustained attention to the room. My specialties include contemporary dream interpretation; dissociation; depression; and trauma, in all its forms.
I specialize in working with adolescents and parents, both individually and in groups. Topics of specialization include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, DBT coping skills, and substance use disorders. Her belief that “practice makes better” is intertwined into the work she loves to do with clients.
