Are you struggling to adjust to college life? Are you having difficulty making new friends? Are you overwhelmed by this stage of your life? I'm here to help. I have over 25 years of experience as a psychologist working with people experiencing challenging life events and transitions. Working together, we can get you back on track.
Sometimes change is the only way towards growth Together, we can help you figure out how to move forward in life, embrace transitions, and make more empowering choices. —---- When you’re starting a new school, watching your child grow, or getting used to a new family dynamic… anxiety has a way of getting its hold on you. Without meaning to, you may find yourself spending all of your energy by worrying about, regretting, and resisting change. But worry doesn’t have to get in your way—as long as you can learn to embrace change and growth. I’m 14 years into a rewarding career as a therapist for children and adults. Clients describe my therapy style as warm and approachable. My approach is grounded in the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT,) a form of talk therapy that allows us to notice and address unhealthy patterns in your thinking or behavior by focusing on the everyday things that are happening right now. This means that my sessions include plenty of humor, candor, and self-reflection. I particularly enjoy working with families during moments of educational transition—and as a former School Psychologist, I’m experienced with academic reports and have developed strategies for helping students advocate for what they need. The work I do with clients feels very natural and focused for them. At the end of our sessions, I’ll usually ask you to choose something to try before our next session, which keeps the rapport going. (Clients who have spent a lot of time with me find themselves wondering “what Sandi would say?”) It makes me proud to know when my clients internalize what we're working on and use it between sessions, too. Who I Work With At my office in Haverford, Pennsylvania, I see clients of all ages. Adults take respite with me in my warm and modern office space as we work through changes in their lives, families and careers—while kids enjoy learning new skills with me in a friendly environment (which involves playing lots of games!) Through the PSYPACT network, I see adult clients virtually across 40 participating states. This is especially useful because so many of my clients are young adults beginning college, and working professionals who are settling into a new job. My clients include new parents adjusting to raising kids, college students who are adjusting to life on campus, parents who struggle with their newly empty nest, and many others. In short, anyone whose life or family is entering a new phase. Therapy is an increasingly normal thing in our culture. My clients arrive eager to make peace with something new and scary. A few of my clients even come in and out of therapy with me over the course of many years, choosing to lean on my support during key turning points—and to practice what we learned together during the years in between. They’ve heard me say, over and over again, that it may be time to “update your view of yourself.” If you’re looking for a therapist, that’s probably true for you, too. Let’s Get Started The best way to start is by scheduling an appointment with me for us to begin getting to know each other. You’ll need to want therapy in order for it to work—so get in touch when you’re ready to learn how to plant both feet in this new stage of your life.
Hi! I’m Kimberly Carlin, LPC, and I work with women over 18 who want support navigating the ups and downs of life. Between work, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal growth, it’s normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to cope. I help women work through: * Anxiety, stress, and burnout * Relationship challenges and setting boundaries * Trauma or emotional abuse * Grief or major life transitions * Body image and disordered eating * Pressure to be “perfect” or meet high expectations * Life transitions such as parenting, career changes, or caregiving responsibilities Here’s what therapy with me looks like: CBT: Helps you spot unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier ones. ACT: Teaches you to accept feelings and focus on what matters most. Somatic Therapy: Uses your body to release stored stress, tension, and anxiety. IFS (Internal Family Systems): Helps you explore different parts of yourself and understand conflicting thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Inner Child Work: Helps you understand how past experiences shape your feelings today. EMDR: A specialized approach that helps painful memories feel less overwhelming. Christian Counseling and Prayer (optional): For women who desire, therapy can integrate Biblical principles, prayer, and exploring God’s perspective of who you are to guide healing, self-worth, and decision-making. I provide online therapy and am licensed in multiple states, so you can continue care even if you travel, work remotely or move. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, gain clarity, and build tools to navigate life with more confidence, self-compassion, and faith-based guidance if desired. Whether you’re feeling stressed, struggling with relationships, wanting to process trauma, or navigating major life transitions, I’m here to support you. Reaching out for help can be a difficult decision. It is crucial to find a therapist who displays warmth, compassion, empathy, attentiveness and a safe space to facilitate self-understanding and healing. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, my approach focuses on helping you find specific personality strengths to promote growth while increasing self-awareness. I have comprehensive experience and training in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship conflict, grief and addiction. I am flexible in adapting my therapeutic approach to support your unique needs. Solution focused therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy are the core tools I utilize to promote your well-being.
We are an association of therapists, each with a unique perspective and set of skills that are as individual as each of our clients. It is reasonable that not every Therapist is for you. With our team you have options to see who is the best fit for your needs. We implement a cognitive coaching style of effective psychotherapy which instills self-understanding and encourages adoption of new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. Therapy does not need to be a life long endeavor and we teach our clients the tools to help themselves. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
Greetings on your journey into finding a therapist. In these times of great uncertainty, I hope to be a helpful resource as you move toward a more peaceful, satisfying, and fulfilling life! In therapy sessions, you will enter a warm and accepting refuge, where emotional safety and deep acceptance will be found. I look forward to meeting you!

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice at PhilaPsy, where I offer psychotherapy for adults of all ages and specialize in working with individuals in early to middle adulthood. I have a varied practice, with people coming to therapy for a wide range of reasons. My areas of particular focus include working with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, transitions or changes in life, stress, self-esteem, identity, relationship issues, interpersonal conflict, trauma, and feeling lonely, angry, empty or stuck. Across contexts, I provide identity affirming, culturally responsive, relational care. Therapy invites people to explore, process, and make sense of their ideas, emotions, experiences, challenges, and areas of conflict. I approach this work with collaboration and curiosity, bringing focus to how our relationships, social systems, personal histories, and development inform the ways we experience ourselves, others, and the worlds we inhabit. I believe a central part of feeling helped is finding a therapist who brings hope, humor, safety, and a sense of belonging. With the right fit, therapy can provide building blocks for people to heal, find community, uncover a path for themselves, and discover ways of living in this world that feel meaningful. If you are interested in reaching out, I offer a free phone consultation to get a sense of what you are looking for, address questions, and discuss possible next steps. Together, we can determine if we might be a good fit. To learn more about my work, please visit: philapsy.com
Hello, I am a licensed therapist in PA, and I specialize in helping individuals struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, stress, and burnout find deep healing and relief. I also have a passion for supporting individuals who face challenges stemming from being neurodivergent (such as autism, ADHD, AuDHD, etc.) in a neurotypical world. In our work together, we will explore how past experiences show up as current struggles, such as anxiety and depression. Through this process, you will build confidence, find healing, and develop greater compassion for yourself.
I work best with students who are motivated and thoughtful, but feel stuck—whether that’s struggling to focus, feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure, or wondering if ADHD, a learning difference, or anxiety might be part of the picture. I offer neuropsychological evaluations to help students understand how their brain works—clarifying strengths, challenges, and what may be getting in the way of learning or performance. These evaluations are often helpful for students seeking answers, clarity, or documentation for academic supports. I also provide CBT-based therapy, which focuses on practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and unhelpful thinking patterns. Therapy is active and collaborative, and we work toward concrete changes that make daily life and school feel more manageable. If you’re looking for clearer answers about yourself and support that’s structured, practical, and grounded, I may be a good fit.
