Our group understands that finding mental health services can be difficult and expensive. Our therapists are committed to providing quality, affordable care to members of our community. We are aware of the importance of making ourselves available to those who are in need of support, and would not be able to afford therapeutic care without use of their insurance. We are proud to partner with Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, Quest, Imagine, & United / Optum insurances to allow their members access to quality mental health services. Our mission is to destigmatize insurance-based mental health services; you do not need to pay private pay rates for quality care

We are a network of independent psychotherapists who support clients during grief and life transitions of all kinds. In our practice, we acknowledge and honor the unique journey of each individual. Our story began as colleagues at a local bereavement center where we facilitated peer support groups for children and adults, at the center and in the community. We shared a deep appreciation for the mission to provide a safe and supportive environment for grieving families. We are committed to developing a trusting alliance with our clients as we view the relationship between client and therapist as integral to successful psychotherapy. Our clients often come to us feeling vulnerable or lost. We create a safe and caring space to hold hope for our clients as we work collaboratively toward the lives they desire.
If you are feeling depressed, anxious, alone or confused, I get it. I am a neurodivergent therapist who has worked hard to learn how to successfully manage serious mental illness symptoms. I look forward to meeting you. I take some insurance and sliding fee scale

I specialize in helping adolescents and adults overcome the struggles of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and substance abuse. I help my clients learn concrete coping skills and effective ways to take control of their lives. The constant battle of obsessing over one's weight, the unrelenting state of panic and fear at times for no understood reason, and the feelings of shame and urges to self-destruct, don't have to be a part of your life. I've had the opportunity to successfully help people work through these issues and find peace and healing that they deserve. I love working with people with eating disorders because they are intelligent, kind-hearted, and often don't realize their potential and worth in the world. I understand the strength it takes to make the call to ask for help and the uncertainty that comes with starting the recovery process. After studying eating disorders and women's issues extensively and working for years at The Renfrew Center, a renowned residential eating disorder facility, I joined the Emotional Eating program at Princeton House Women's Programs. Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania with a background in outpatient mental health and community-based work. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree of psychology, then went on to obtain a Master’s degree of social work and appropriate licensure. I work primarily with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck or burned out- especially those who are used to being the “strong one” for everyone else. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, or the quiet exhaustion that comes from constantly holding it together. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and build practical tools that actually fit your life. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices, while still honoring your lived experience. Therapy with me is both compassionate and goal oriented, but I am not afraid to challenge you. We process the hard things, but we also work toward meaningful change. If you’re ready to feel more steady, confident, and in control of your life, I’d be honored to support you.
People come to treatment for a variety of reasons. I view each person as unique and strive to assist individuals to overcome challenges and meet the goals that are important in their lives. As we work to let go of stress, pain, behaviors, thoughts and feelings that are not useful in the present, new healthier patterns can emerge and be adopted.
Dr. Michele Slabaugh, DBH, MA, LPC-MHSP-S, NCC believes in using a combination of approaches to achieve the best outcomes for clients. Most sessions will have a foundation of Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and we will work together to incorporate other techniques such as Solution-Focused Brief therapy, DBT, Psychoeducation, Spirituality/Faith-Based Perspectives, Motivational Interviewing and Positive Behavior Modification approaches as requested and appropriate. After a comprehensive initial biopsychosocial assessment, a treatment plan will be developed with the aim of establishing problematic symptom relief, quality of life improvement/restoration and coping skill generalization. Dr. Slabaugh’s clinical career spans over 35 years starting out in the medical field through nursing and then a transition to the behavioral health field through her work as a services and clinical director treating medically and behaviorally challenged adults and children across all life experiences with extensive experience with complex and co-occurring conditions/diagnoses. Additionally, Dr. Slabaugh has a love for providing consultation and interim leadership support. Over the years she has served in senior level roles with multiple organizations providing clinical operations, strategic planning, innovative healthcare system transformation and project management expertise.
Do you feel unsatisfied with the path you’re on? I specialize in work with college students and twenty-somethings who are navigating new life stages and want to learn more about themselves. Maybe you’re adjusting to starting/leaving college, or a new job. Or you’re looking to set boundaries as you gain independence from your family. I’m here to help you bridge the gap between your life now and what you want your life to look like, while also giving new meaning to the experiences that led you to where you are. I not only bring educational & professional experience to my practice, but also empathy & realness that comes from confronting my own personal challenges. Anxiety, self-doubt, low-self esteem, perfectionism, job dissatisfaction & relationship issues are common struggles of a quarterlifer as you navigate transitions in your 20s. Together we can separate those problems from who you are as a person, learn about the role they play in your life, develop ways to cope, & move forward towards your ideal life. I also work with those pursuing a career as a therapist. Whether you're a psychology or social work student considering grad school, you're a grad school student adjusting to your internship, or you're wondering if a career as a therapist is for you - I have years of experience helping students navigate the field and find a path that feels right for them.
