Therapy is completely different for each individual because everyone is going through different issues and have personalized goals. From a strengths-based perspective, I work to empower clients to gain the skills necessary to address and resolve problems, change behaviors, improve relationships and navigate and cope with stressors. During your session, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, habits, and experiences to gain a better understanding of yourself and to develop coping skills to achieve goals and improve your well-being. I place a strong emphasis on developing insight and empathy within a non-judgmental and compassionate environment. I have over 14 years of experience practicing as a nurse and working within social services providing counseling and care coordination to adolescents, adults, and families. My therapeutic background is rooted in medical and health psychology, assisting individuals and families coping with normal or unwanted transitions, chronic illness, end of life issues, and those experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers and I am an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

I have experience and enjoy working with both young people and adults, especially during times that feel overwhelming or uncertain. College can bring a lot at once: more independence, academic pressure, changing relationships, questions about identity, and the uncertainty of what comes next. Even when things are going well, it can still feel overwhelming, isolating, or hard to manage alone. Horizon Online Therapy is a small telehealth practice offering therapy for college students in Oregon. We are not a large platform or a call-center-style service. We are a small team of clinicians who value steady, personal, and collaborative care. Our therapists support students dealing with anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, burnout, identity questions, family conflict, perfectionism, and major life transitions. We work with students who may be adjusting to college, navigating cultural or family expectations, exploring identity and belonging, or trying to understand patterns that keep getting in the way. Our team includes: Alex, who works with adoptees, immigrants, and students from multicultural backgrounds, with a focus on identity, belonging, trauma, and the experience of living between cultures. Tenaya, who supports LGBTQ+ students, students navigating relationships, and those struggling with stress, perfectionism, self-doubt, or feeling stuck. Rachel, who brings a holistic approach and incorporates mindfulness, EMDR, and somatic therapy for students working through trauma, burnout, or significant life changes. Therapy with us is warm, practical, and individualized. We offer online sessions so students can access care from a private space that works for them. Our goal is not to tell you who to be, but to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and better able to manage what you are carrying. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Therapy can be a place to slow down, sort through what is happening, and get support that feels real.

Hi! My name is Raveena. I particularly enjoy working with young adults navigating self-esteem and self-confidence issues, major life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I specialize in supporting individuals impacted by racism, bigotry, intergenerational trauma, acculturation challenges, disordered eating/ED's and body image. I also work with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and everyday stressors. I strive to create a space that affirms all identities and lived experiences. As a South Asian therapist of Punjabi descent, I bring a deep sense of empathy and cultural awareness to my work with BIPOC and other marginalized clients. I use an integrated approach and pull from numerous evidenced based therapeutic practices, based on your individual needs and goals. I can help you work through challenges related to difficult feelings, stress, depression, anxiety, challenging relationships and navigating important life transitions. Having trained at the University of Notre Dame (Ph.D., M.A.), UC Berkeley (APA-accredited internship) and Stanford (post-doctoral fellowship), I bring rigorous scientific expertise into my clinical work with college students. In fact, I worked at the University Counseling Centers at all three of these schools and have continued to develop a specialized private practice that focuses almost exclusively on college students. I also teach for Pepperdine University in their Graduate School of Education & Psychology. I help clients with a range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, career and academic concerns, ADHD, relationship concerns (situationships, am I right? :) ), body image and eating disorders, perfectionism, college/life transitions, as well as family of origin challenges (let's say it together, boundaries...). I often work with high-achieving students who often are managing academically but struggling internally. My clients often put others first and themselves last. By the time they come to therapy, concerns have been going on for some time and they've reached a breaking point. They may feel they "should" be able to handle things on their own. As a recovering perfectionist and someone who was riddled with anxiety throughout college, I get it. It wasn't until my own training in CBT that I learned how destructive such thought patterns were. It inspired my clinical approach, as well as three clinical workbooks I've published on Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and Positive Psychology with the top mental health publishers. Many of my clients who have been to therapy before often remark how "easy" I make the process. We laugh, we learn, and talk like old friends. Therapy doesn't have to be stuffy or stressful. It's about feeling respected, validated and heard. Learning to take care of yourself, set appropriate boundaries, and thrive! I'd LOVE to work with you! Please feel free to book a complimentary 15 minute consultation at my website below so we can connect!

I work with folks struggling with depression, grief, anxiety, life transitions, and the countless other stressors life throws at us. My hope is to create a space where you can show up fully human—to laugh, cry, and talk about the hard stuff without fear of judgment. I invite you to bring yourself and all of the parts that come along with you. This is a privilege I do not take lightly and will honor as we walk through this journey together. If this resonates, I’d love to connect and see if working together feels right. My work is informed by systems-thinking and anti-oppressive frameworks, drawing from Narrative, Emotion-Focused, and Internal Family Systems approaches. I’m especially interested in how our relationships and identities shape who we are and who we’re becoming. I know finding a therapist can feel like a big step, and I believe connection really matters. I’m a relational therapist who values building a collaborative, compassionate, and supportive relationship. I see you as the expert of your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you reflect, explore, and grow.
