I tend to work best with college students and young adults who look “high-functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside. Many of the students I see are smart, reflective, and trying hard — yet struggling with anxiety, mood swings, burnout, panic, or a constant feeling of pressure to perform or hold everything together. You might feel stuck between who you were expected to be and who you’re becoming. You may overthink conversations, feel emotionally exhausted, struggle with motivation, or feel disconnected from yourself or others. Some students I work with have experienced past stress or trauma that still shows up in their body — through anxiety, sleep issues, emotional shutdown, or feeling on edge — even if “nothing bad” seems to be happening now. In therapy, we move at your pace. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal right away. My approach is supportive, curious, and collaborative — focused on helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and develop tools that actually feel usable in real life. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel less alone, and build steadiness during a demanding and uncertain chapter of life. I will be getting credentialed with additional insurances and accepting private pay-please feel free to check back or reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns.

I’m a licensed psychologist based in New York City, working with young adults, adults, and couples who want to feel more grounded and connected in their lives. People often come to me for help with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance use, or the effects of past trauma. Others are simply looking for a better understanding of themselves and the patterns that keep showing up. As a gay therapist, I bring both personal and professional experience to my work with the LGBTQ+ community. I offer a space that’s affirming, open, and free of judgment—where you can be fully yourself. We’ll go at your pace, using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches that fit you as a person. My goal is to make therapy feel safe, collaborative, and genuinely helpful—so you can move toward greater clarity, confidence, and self-understanding.

You’ve been holding it together for a long time, maybe for everyone else, maybe just to keep life moving. On the surface, things look fine, but inside you might feel tired, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of what’s next. You’ve tried to manage it on your own, but the same patterns keep showing up in relationships, work, or how you talk to yourself. I work with adults ready for meaningful change, who are navigating stress, burnout, relationship challenges, or life transitions. Together, we’ll uncover what’s holding you back and build tools to help you feel grounded, confident, and connected. My approach is active, collaborative, and practical. I bring warmth, humor, and curiosity to the work while helping you explore what’s underneath the surface and create the shifts you want. I draw from evidence-based methods including CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy but I’ll always tailor our sessions to what works best for you. I offer virtual therapy for adults across New York State. Whether you’re struggling with stress, communication, self-esteem, or finding balance in your life, therapy can be a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with yourself. If you’re ready to stop carrying everything on your own, call or email me for a free 15-minute consultation.

I believe all human beings deserve to live a life that is rich and full and free of suffering, and that this requires lots of work, and lots of help. I believe that every person has a lifelong capacity for change, and that you deserve healing. I am passionate about helping adolescents and young adults find their footing in the world, supporting women who are navigating the effects of trauma and systemic violence, and empowering LGBTQIA+ individuals to find freedom and safety. I utilize tools from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, and also challenge you to try out new perspectives and skills, develop new insights, and explore new boundaries. The first step is reaching out. I have 20 years of experience treating adolescents and adults. As a trauma-informed therapist, I offer a safe and compassionate space where healing begins through connection. My approach is grounded in the belief that deep, lasting change happens not just through insight, but through feeling seen, felt, and understood in relationship.

Sometimes words don’t fully capture our experiences or do them justice. My journey into this work began with the discovery that art, music, movement, and other forms of creative expression can communicate the parts of ourselves that language alone cannot reach. These expressions are deeply human and can become powerful pathways to insight, healing, and connection. Therapy asks for honesty, vulnerability, and commitment, but it does not have to focus only on pain. My approach balances depth and growth with humor, curiosity, and discovery. Art therapy is not about being “good” at art; it is about using creativity and reflection to gain insight, process experiences, and foster new perspectives and possibilities. Together, we will explore patterns, relationships, challenges, and goals while strengthening resilience, quieting self-critical thoughts, and developing practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Our work creates the foundation for deeper self-understanding, greater balance, and lasting growth.

My mission is to cultivate healthy, resilient, and connected athletes, coaches, and communities through trauma-informed, whole-person well-being. As a proud first-generation Korean-Filipina American, my journey as a former elite athlete and two decades as a psychotherapist shape how I approach personal growth and transformation. My approach integrates psychodynamic with trauma-informed, meditative, mindfulness, and mastery performance development for comprehensive healing and optimal performance. I’ve built my practice across New York City’s public, nonprofit, and private sectors, providing specialized training at institutions like NYU Medicine and Health and Hospitals while mentoring emerging practitioners from Columbia, NYU, and other leading programs. My experience as a first-gen Woman of Color, athlete, and parent enriches my therapeutic approach. Los Angeles born, New York City nested, I bring bi-coastal energy to my work, including co-hosting “Hahnacity”—a podcast focused on healing through storytelling—with Joy Hahn Silva Millora, former elite gymnast and now coach. Whether I’m cheering for the Lakers and Dodgers or connecting with “The Steam Room” community, I live the connection between athletic mindset and psychological well-being.

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It usually means you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. I work with college students and young adults who are trying to keep up on the outside while feeling stressed, burned out, or unsure of themselves on the inside. Therapy with me is practical, supportive, and focused on helping you understand what’s actually driving your anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt, and what to do about it in real life. Sessions are a space to slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and build tools you can use outside of therapy. You don’t need to have the right words, a clear goal, or a crisis to start. We take things at your pace and figure it out together. If you’re curious about therapy but not sure it’s for you, a consultation is a low-pressure way to ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.

College and the years around it can stir up a lot. Anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, questions around substance use, and sometimes experiences that are genuinely hard to carry alone. If any of that feels familiar, you've found someone who understands. I work with adults and young adults, and I believe most of what brings people to therapy makes sense once we understand the story behind it. Many of the patterns causing you pain today were once the ways you learned to survive. My style is warm, compassionate, and direct, and I'll meet you with acceptance rather than judgment. A significant part of my work has involved supporting people through addiction and recovery, alongside trauma, attachment, and the search for identity. My approach draws on psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed perspectives, with attention to both mind and body. We'll move at your pace, and telehealth makes it easy to fit therapy around a full schedule. Whatever you're facing, you won't face it alone.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in collaboration, with the goal of supporting clients as they grow, explore, and integrate all aspects of their holistic selves in alignment with their personal values and goals. I recognize that life can bring periods of feeling stuck, disconnected, or caught in patterns of avoidance, anxiety, and discontentment. In response, I offer a trauma-informed, intermodal framework that incorporates creative and expressive arts therapies alongside evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic techniques, neuroscience, and nutrition-based insights—tailored to each client’s unique needs and interests. Together, we work to build practical skills that foster intentional growth and healing from past experiences, empowering clients to move toward more fulfilling and connected lives.

I support individuals to navigate through stressors and life transitions. I help individuals to enhance communication skills to foster empowerment while strengthening confidence in their ability to create positive change. My goal is to support you to empower yourself to make informed decisions that align with your values and desired outcomes. I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution Focused and Strengths Based approaches to remain action oriented, collaboratively working towards your goals. I support clients with developing awareness and viewing the big picture. For me therapy is the work that you do outside of the session time. The mindful & intentional efforts you make to reflect & apply new skills as well as new perspectives to your day-to-day experience; that's where the change will really take place. The work I do with my clients is often centered around Self-Love; being able to nurture acceptance of your true self is often the key to alleviating a vast number of concerns and challenges. I feel passionate about supporting individuals & couples to re-define their boundaries & take ownership of their identity. Collaboration is the key to success!
