Present. Calm. Centered. Your authentic YOU. These are the things you may be longing for yet sometimes feel out of reach. Life can bring about storms and seasons of hardship that leave their mark on our human spirits. Sometimes we can find our center, yet other times we may feel lost in the seas of emotions - worries and anxieties that sweep us from our connections to ourselves and those we care about. Maybe you experienced painful moments in your youth or adult life that you just can’t find a way to shake. Or maybe you find yourself caught in certain patterns of responses despite knowing you value interacting with yourself or others differently. Maybe you hope to gain more confidence in yourself to follow your dreams. I am deeply honored to explore these thoughts, feelings, and experiences with you, so that you can draw new connections to live the life you want to lead. I work with adult individuals (18 years and up) and have experience with a variety of different presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and addictions. I offer a nurturing person-centered approach where I believe you are truly the expert in your own life. My aim is to use my professional training to collaborate with you on reaching your goals. I use a variety of counseling approaches including motivational interviewing, mindfulness, CBT and brainspotting. With this, I often interweave somatic/body based awareness, emotional attunement and cognitive aspects into the work we engage in together. I also recognize the decision to choose to start counseling can be a vulnerable and difficult one. I believe a strong therapeutic alliance is the most important aspect for supporting therapy outcomes (research supports this too!). I aim to create an environment with elements of empathy, non-judgment, compassion and humor. And if you wind up finding my therapeutic style is not the best fit for your needs, I am glad to support you in getting connected with another therapist.

My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients are able to explore issues and improve the quality of their lives. I use an integrative style of psychotherapy that pulls from many different approaches with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My work with clients is based on a collaborative approach that promotes a strong alliance and allows for open and honest communication. Within this foundation, clients develop the safety and freedom to challenge behaviors and beliefs and discover new attitudes that promote change.

You push yourself to meet expectations—at work, in relationships, in every aspect of life—because failure isn’t an option. But no matter how much you achieve, that nagging voice in your head keeps telling you it’s not enough. You overanalyze your mistakes, replay conversations in your head, and wonder why you can’t just relax and feel good about where you are. The pressure is relentless. You feel like you’re sprinting toward an invisible finish line that keeps moving. The weight of expectations—your own and everyone else’s—presses down on you. Maybe you’ve convinced yourself that if you can just work harder, be better, prove your worth, you’ll finally feel okay. But deep down, you’re exhausted. And you’re starting to wonder: Does it really have to be this way? It doesn’t. Therapy can help you step off the hamster wheel of perfectionism and self-doubt. Together, we’ll identify what’s fueling the pressure, challenge the patterns that keep you stuck, and help you build a life that feels authentic, balanced, and actually fulfilling—on your terms. I help young adults and teens break free from perfectionism, self-doubt, and external pressures to build confidence and live authentically.

I focus on treating flashbacks and nightmares with prazosin and doxazosin. I can work along with primary care doctors or psychiatric providers if they don't have the level of comfort with these medications. For more information visit my site: www.ptsdrx.org. You might be here because something has gone wrong. Your days might have been ruled by anxiety, old wounds that won't heal, or the quiet weight of wondering if you're enough. Maybe you're carrying the aftermath of a toxic relationship, spiritual trauma, or simply the exhaustion of doing everything alone. At Restore Hope Counseling, I provide individual therapy and group therapy to adults across Charlotte, Matthews, Mint Hill, Indian Trail, and surrounding areas. I specialize in helping survivors of narcissistic abuse and emotional trauma, men navigating identity and relationships, and leaders including pastors and ministry families who are ready to become the healthiest version of themselves. This isn't surface-level support. It's real, focused counseling centered on what actually helps you move forward.

Hello, Before you read my introduction, I want to clarify that I use a flexible fee schedule based on your affordability. I don't strictly follow the numbers that you find in my fees. (I simply needed to complete all the boxes to activate my profile.) My schedule shows a block of time that I may be available for sessions, but you must discuss session times with me before scheduling. Thank you! I worked previously in a university counseling center with students who: were adjusting to living away from home for the first time and finding their place; were coping with roommate difficulties; were athletes with sports injuries; needed improved time management and organization skills; and so much more. The excitement of "going away to college" can quickly turn into disillusionment when reality sets in. I found that offering a safe outlet for students to express concerns as they negotiate this important life transition is a treasured place for me to be. I would love to work with you. Please email me to get started.

My clients are exhausted and overwhelmed like you. They are tired of doing their best to keep all these balls (school, work, parenting, relationships, self-care, health and wellbeing, sleep + more) up in the air (even though admittedly they are pretty darn good at it). But when they inevitably drop a few because something else pops up or they get tired, life feels messy and they are quick to place judgements on themselves. My clients are expert problem solvers and doers, who in the face of stress, just keep going. Some are the type of person who the people in their life lean on for support. Some have tried a number of ways to fix or problem solve their way our of their emotions or exhaustion. They find their coping to work for a little bit but aren't moving them towards the life they imagined for themselves. Some realize they aren't sure they can keep up with all of what needs to be done to feel "okay". When some of my clients do take time for themselves or the rest they need, their mind struggles with feeling guilty, worrying about what they "should" be doing for work/school/person (fill in the blank with any responsibility). I help my clients get clearer on their wants, needs, and values while addressing some of the downfalls that come with always doing, fixing, and over functioning. I approach my work with clients through use of Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Somatic Experiencing. These two approaches help support internal reflection and clarity along with experiential, skills-based, and mindfulness practices.

Mental health affects our relationships, and our relationships affect mental health. The quality of our social connections is the greatest predictor of well-being, which is why helping clients build healthy relationships of all kinds and heal from past relationship trauma are my counseling passions! My additional areas of specialty include anxiety, burnout, mood disorders, and substance use disorders – whether it’s you or a loved one who is struggling. In our sessions, we'll foster deep self-understanding and self-compassion, deconstruct patterns that no longer serve you or align with your values, and work collaboratively to create meaningful, long-lasting change. I offer individual, couple, and adult family therapy sessions. While my approach is unique for every client, I always use a strengths-based, encouraging, empathetic, and nonjudgmental lens. Skills training in emotion regulation, coping, communication, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, stress management, and mindfulness are integral to my work. Clients' holistic wellness is a top priority in my therapeutic process. Together, we'll analyze your overall well-being, including emotional, social, physical, and even professional, then create specific goals to get you on the path to balance and fulfillment. Hi, I'm Danielle. I help people build more confidence in themselves, make peace with their bodies, and improve their relationships. On the surface, you might hold it together pretty well. You try so hard to keep up in your classes, stay busy, and show up for your friends. The thing is, no one knows how overwhelmed, insecure, and lonely you really feel. There's a vague but heavy sense of self-doubt that interferes with your decisions, self-confidence, and relationships. On some level, you know there's got to be another way, and there IS! You can feel more peace, find your voice, build self-trust, and step into the life you actually want. I'd love to help you get there! My goal is to provide a safe space for you to feel like you can fully be yourself, process your experiences, and figure out how to become the best version of yourself. I believe therapy is tough, serious work, AND it can also be filled with laughter and lightness. I have worked extensively throughout my career with clients struggling with self-esteem, whether that shows up in anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image issues, or relationship/dating issues. We'll start by building insight and awareness around the patterns and behaviors you're struggling with. From there, we'll work to make the meaningful changes needed to build a life you're proud of and excited about. If this resonates with you, you're in the right place! You can learn more about me on my website or by reaching out to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation.

Join me in learning the tools and skills to intentionally create the life that you desire. I work with clients who are looking to strengthen trust in themselves. My overarching goal for every client who comes to see me is for them to have a more loving, compassionate relationship to themselves, others, and their past. I use a holistic collaborative approach to counseling that recognizes our unique multidimensional nature, and honors the connection between mind, emotions, energy, and body. Birdie, my office puppy, is a gentle presence who offers passive emotional support to clients who enjoy animal companionship. I work with adults, college students, teens, adolescents, couples, and families, to: 1. Identify harmful thought and behavior patterns, 2. Understand what's at the root of these patterns, 3. Cultivate tools and behaviors that encourage, rather than inhibit, growth. I offer compassionate, honest feedback, providing an outside lens that will allow you to see yourself more clearly. I believe everyone has the tools within them to heal and grow. You can reconnect with your authentic and confident self. Let's rekindle the spark within you and heal the past that is holding you back from the life you desire. I would be honored to assist you in opening up paths to trusting yourself and healing your past in your journey to wholeness.
