I approach therapy with a warm, collaborative, and person-centered style, focusing on building genuine relationships that foster trust and growth. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. I believe growth occurs through authentic connection and self-exploration, and I work alongside clients to help them recognize their strengths, gain insight into their experiences, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Before joining Therapy Today, I gained experience working with children, college students, adults, and older adults in a variety of settings. My background includes providing individual and group counseling, conducting psychological assessments, and supporting clients with concerns such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, and identity development. I have also worked with individuals with disabilities and facilitated an LGBTQ+ support group. These experiences have strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are and provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and staying active. I’m passionate about continual learning and personal growth, and I often find inspiration through reading and creative outlets. I value meaningful connections and believe that authenticity and balance are essential both in and outside the therapy room. These experiences help me relate to clients with empathy and understanding as they navigate their own challenges and seasons of growth.

Letisia’s goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your concerns, build resilience, and move toward healing and growth. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with over 18 years of experience helping individuals, families, and communities navigate life’s challenges. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based care. She specializes in supporting adults facing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, chronic illness, and caregiver stress. In her work, Letisia integrates therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. She also considers the whole person; mind, body, and environment while recognizing that factors like health, relationships, and community resources all shape well-being. Letisia has worked across diverse settings, including community mental health, hospitals, higher education, and primary care. As a bilingual (Spanish/English) therapist, she values cultural humility and creating a safe, inclusive space for all clients. Whether you are seeking short-term support or longer-term therapy, my goal is to walk alongside you as you work toward healing, resilience, and personal growth.
Life has a way of challenging the coping strategies that once served us well. Whether you're navigating a new life stage, the complexities of parenting, a significant loss, or a health challenge, these transitions can leave you feeling unsettled. I specialize in supporting individuals as they adjust to these 'new normals.' Through the therapeutic relationship we build together, I provide a safe and compassionate space to help you navigate even the most difficult times. As your burdens begin to lighten, your resilience grows, making space for renewed joy, purpose, and fulfillment. I’m an Indiana and Michigan based Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping young adults, adults, and older adults (65+) manage life transitions, emotional stress, and everyday overwhelm. As a fully virtual provider, I offer flexible, confidential online therapy to clients across Michigan.
Do you ever feel like you keep landing in the same relationship pattern, even with different people? Or maybe something feels off in a way you can't quite name yet. That's usually where we start. I work with individuals and couples, especially people who've felt unheard or misunderstood in past therapy, or in life generally, including those in helping professions, therapists, nurses, teachers, pastors, who are so used to holding everyone else that they've forgotten someone can hold them too. A lot of what we'll work on comes back to self-worth, the root of most of what people bring into my office, whether it shows up as relationship drama, burnout, or a quiet sense of "something's wrong with me." I use CBT and DBT, not in a worksheet-y way, more like practical tools for when things get hard. You don't need to have it all figured out here, just show up as you are. I'm bilingual (¡hablo español!) and licensed in Michigan and Virginia, seeing clients in person and virtually. If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear your story.

I have many years of experience working with teenagers. I specifically enjoy working with teens who experience anxiety. As a previous college student, I look forward to providing you with support and tools to get through these difficult times in life!
College and graduate school can be exciting, meaningful, and rewarding—but they can also feel incredibly overwhelming. Many students find themselves struggling to balance academic pressure, relationships, work, family expectations, finances, burnout, anxiety, perfectionism, or simply trying to keep up with the constant demands of daily life. You may look like you’re functioning on the outside while internally feeling exhausted, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to slow your mind down. I work with college students, graduate students, and young adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, stress management, academic burnout, relationship concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I also support students who feel caught in cycles of overthinking, procrastination, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or difficulty managing emotions and responsibilities. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and practical. Therapy is not just a place to vent—it’s a space to better understand yourself while also learning concrete tools to help life feel more manageable. Together, we may work on improving coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, confidence, organization, or ways to manage stress without constantly feeling like you’re running on empty. I have a background in school-based mental health and understand how emotional wellness directly impacts focus, motivation, relationships, and academic performance. I strive to create a therapy space that feels genuine, nonjudgmental, and approachable, where you can show up exactly as you are without feeling pressure to have everything figured out. Whether you’re struggling quietly, feeling overwhelmed by expectations, or simply wanting more support and balance in your life, you do not have to navigate it alone. I’d be happy to connect and see if we might be a good fit. I offer flexible evenings and weekends via telehealth or in-person Wednesdays and Thursdays 15 minutes from MSU and LCC.
I work with teens and adults who feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, discouraged, or worn down by chronic pain. Together, we pursue healing that honors both your mental health and your faith. My approach is grounded in clinical psychology, with the option to thoughtfully integrate Christian spirituality and/or address religious trauma in a way that is respectful, collaborative, and aligned with your values. As therapy progresses, you’ll begin to notice meaningful shifts. Life, work, and relationships will feel lighter and steadier. Moments of genuine joy will return. When difficult thoughts or emotions arise, they won’t pull you under. Instead of spiraling into overthinking or self-criticism, you’ll respond with clarity, wisdom, and self-compassion. The harsh inner voice softens, replaced by one that is kinder and more truthful. The world may still feel uncertain at times, but it will no longer feel hopeless. If you’re wondering whether we might be a good fit, I invite you to learn more about my story and approach.
Hello my name is Maureen, and I’m a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of psychotherapy experience, and everyone is welcome in my practice. I live in Lapeer County, Michigan and have strong ties to Detroit and surrounding area. My therapy practice is via telehealth. I’ve worked with people who have had a wide range of challenges and who needed the help of a compassionate and skilled therapist. Because of my many years of working with a very diverse population of people, I’ve been able to create a very eclectic style that I believe takes the best of each therapy model and am able to create a very tailored treatment for each person who allows me to help them on their journey. I help people to recognize and utilize their strengths and believe that people have the best answers for themselves and need to learn how to find them and use them for their continued growth. I love using interventions that combine supportive and goal directed strategies as well as focusing on the mind-body connection. My favorite form of therapy is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. I’m also trained in Attachment Therapy, EMDR, CBT and many others. I’ve always invested a lot of time and energy into improving my skills for the benefit of my clients, so I frequently attend continuing education seminars and conferences. I’m an Open Path provider (for people who need to pay based on their ability to afford it). I'm also a Give an Hour provider and donate pro-bono services for our military, veterans and their families. I value the opportunity to help everyone get the therapy that they need.

Typically, my clients are adults and career professionals that struggle with a variety of issues including anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, life stressors , personal growth and more. They may not be sleeping well, may be having relationship or school difficulties or are dealing with some kind of loss or even struggling with their medical health or have a fear or phobia. While you are doing the hard work, I am your guide, teacher, listening ear, coach and support. I will push you to do, and be, better, but also be your soft place to land. I focus first on building a therapeutic foundation of safety, trust, teamwork and connection, knowing that without a good fit, therapy doesn't work. We will work together to find the right techniques and approaches that fit you and your situation best. This gives you personalized, strength-based, and holistic care where you get to be heard and express yourself, learn about (and work through) your issues, develop new skills, and create healthier habits in order to achieve better life balance and wellness. So, when you are ready to take the next step, contact me to schedule your initial appointment. My office is your safe place to breathe, heal, and grow.
