l work with older adolescents and adults in my practice. I really enjoy working with college students and supporting their growth and development through this very unique time in life. My approach is strengths-based, culturally-sensitive, supportive, and client-centered. You are the expert on your experience and you will be "in the driver's seat" as we work together. I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused practices in my work with clients. My style is warm, compassionate and affirming. Co-creating a safe space for you to do the work you need and want to do to feel better is a priority for me. We will work collaboratively to set goals and monitor progress towards achieving those goals. I have experience and enjoy working with clients from varied backgrounds. You will be respected and valued working with me; I invite you to be your authentic self.

*Telehealth video sessions only* Healing from difficult life experiences can and does happen. We are all wired to protect ourselves from experiencing pain, but unfortunately the parts of ourselves that work hard to distance us from pain often keep us from living fully. If you are noticing patterns of thoughts and behaviors that are getting in the way of your moving forward in the direction of your dreams, this is a great start. The work of therapy is to slow down in order to cultivate the space between you and your feelings so that you are less overwhelmed, more understanding and have greater self compassion. You are not your feelings. Whether you suffer from PTSD, depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, or are having conflict in relationships or difficulty adjusting to new experiences, I believe that you have the capacity and strength to overcome obstacles and live life to your fullest potential. With a calm and caring presence and over 25 years of experience, I would be privileged to work with you so that you can experience freedom from self-limiting beliefs and live with greater intention, self- acceptance, interpersonal effectiveness and joy. Therapy doesn't have to be painful or overwhelming. I will work collaboratively with you to pace the work so that you can maintain a sense of safety and stability throughout the process. I use a number of different therapeutic modalities but believe that goodness of fit in the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of success. I am happy to speak with you to help figure out if I would be a good match for you.

Reaching out to a therapist requires courage and readiness for wanting to make changes. Perhaps you are feeling trapped in your mind, maybe a tough circumstance forces you to face what is not working anymore in your life, or an inner pain becomes so loud that you can no longer ignore it. In my work, I strive to help you discover yourself, and look at patterns and habits that no longer serve you. My hope is to guide you to break free from what is holding you back to become who you truly are. My sessions are collaborative. I work with warmth and compassion and will attentively listen and share my thoughts. I specialize in understanding complex issues such as depression, anxiety and relationship problems. My approach is cognitive and strength based. I truly believe in the strength and resiliency to create meaning and direction in our lives. If you think I can help you, please email or call me and we will have a conversation to see if you are comfortable working with me. It would be an honor to help you in your healing process.

My clients don't come to therapy to hear someone nod and agree with everything they say. That isn't worth their time or money. They want real help. They want to know "what to do" and "how to fix it" because they are struggling with depression, severe anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, suicidal thoughts, parenting issues, and other painful situations. They're looking for a true expert that they can actually talk to. I am a member of PSYPACT which means I can see clients in every state that is a member of PSYPACT. I'm also licensed in both TN and MA. I'm a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician and an expert in Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, self-harm, and oppositional adolescents. I am an Associate faculty member at Vanderbilt University and have served as a trainer and consultant for a variety of hospitals, schools, and the military. I founded and own PSYCHē, PLLC, a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT skills groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. New members can begin right away! Visit www.psychepllc.com/groups for more information about groups, meeting times, or to enroll online. Changing people's lives for the better is my life's purpose and where I get a sense of meaning. I love my job :) I look forward to meeting you.

At the current time I am not *personally* accepting new clients because of having to only meet via telehealth. Our practice, however, is still accepting new clients. I've been working individually with college students since 2003. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders/disordered eating, body image issues, and perfectionism, but also treat clients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma histories/PTSD, relationship issues, family issues, life adjustment/transition issues.

Hello! Thank you for your interest in starting therapy. I have a lot of experience supporting college and advanced degree students who are dealing with anxiety, OCD, and stress. I take a CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), goals-focused approach. I am licensed in Massachusetts and New York and I can see students in either state--in fact, I work with a number of students who go to school in MA but live in NY when they are not on campus and vice versa. I'd be happy to set up a time to talk so you can ask any questions that you have to see if it would be a good fit for you.

Welcome! Do you currently struggle with any of the following: anxiety; low self-esteem; deep, sometimes inexplicable feelings of guilt; tough inner critic; difficulty saying no; feeling disconnected from others; heavy focus on wanting to make others like you; a nagging feeling you’re doing something wrong or there may be something wrong with you? The good news is, these are not inherent traits people are born with and you are not bound to eternally struggle with these things! This therapy will give you the opportunity to uncover the root causes of these and other struggles in order to make changes in the here-and-now. Please click on my website link for more on the benefits of this therapy! As a licensed therapist with over 10-years experience in the mental health field, I treat a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. I specialize in understanding difficult family and relationship dynamics (both past and current dynamics) and how those dynamics affect us in the present. My approach is interactive, open-minded, and non-judgmental. I care deeply for the people I work with and through genuine collaboration, my clients describe a sense of feeling truly heard and understood. I invite you to email or call today to find out more! For payment, the fee is due at the time of the session, but I can provide you an invoice to submit to your insurance to access your out-of-network benefits. You get what you pay for and you are worth the time and money spent on feeling better!

My practice specialization is focused on women’s issues and perinatal mental health. In response to the recent changes in access to women's reproductive healthcare, many of us are feeling confused, scared, (and p*ssed off!). I provide a safe space for women to process whatever emotions they may be feeling as a result of their direct experiences or related to future concerns. I believe that the relationship between clinician & client is the foundation for a successful therapy experience. Please know that I realize how difficult it is to connect with a “stranger” when you are feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also be very enlightening. It can also be light-hearted & fun. (I guarantee a few laughs during each session!) I utilize a variety of therapy techniques, which ultimately allows for flexibility in making sure that you get what you need in a way that works for you.

Hey Hey Hey! I’m Lenora Benson (She/Her/Hers), LICSW and I support black and ethnic minority women, in navigating the challenges and expectations imposed on them by the fallacy of the strong black women. I support all women in navigating the social expectations, stressors, and demands of being woman, as they intersect in all areas of racism, sexism, and patriarchism. I believe in the transformative power of therapy, because it has transformed me personally. As your therapist, I provide a safe, supportive, and judgement free space for you to explore your emotions, heal from past wounds, and journey from darkness to the light. My goals are to help those struggling with low self-esteem, people pleasing tendencies, and high-achieving perfectionism, dismantle the beliefs that keeps them stuck in patterns of behavior that leave them feeling like imposters; never good enough, never smart enough. Working with me will allow you to begin to make decisions for yourself that leave you feeling loved, worthy, and empowered.

With over 10 years of experience, I feel deeply honored by the trust clients place in me when they open their hearts and share their inner world. I have experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and relational problems. My passion for working with diverse populations led me to pursue the Global Mental Health: Immigration and Trauma Certificate from Harvard University. I strive to see my clients beyond their diagnoses and to raise awareness of the societal and cultural challenges that may prevent them from fulfilling their true potential I work best with high-achieving individuals who may appear successful outwardly but feel overwhelmed or uncertain internally. Many of my clients are immigrants or from multicultural backgrounds, navigating identity, belonging, and the pressures of academic or professional life, while also seeking to align their success with deeper meaning, purpose, and spirit

I'm fluent in Mandarin and English, I have worked with many international students who struggle with cultural adjustment, immigration status, interpersonal relationship and other challenges in college life. I was an international student and I knew how challenging it could be to study abroad. I would like to be a good listener and care for students' mental health. In terms of my approaches, I help students use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to view their life in a more comprehensive way by analyzing their automatic thoughts. I also guide them to be aware of body sensation and be able to calm through mindfulness practice (a technique from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).
