The typical challenges people face are embedded in fear of rejection, loneliness and disconnection - not feeling likable and lovable. Meaningful living can be achieved by acknowledging this fear and acting intentionally to create love, authenticity, and congruence. I believe effective counseling is grounded in a trusting and affirming working alliance. I work from an interpersonal perspective, meaning our professional relationship is the key to a positive and productive experience. Grounding my training in Existential-Humanistic theory, I seek to support your effort to find personal meaning and self-understanding, to explore your lived experience and discover the most genuine you. I offer support to achieve insight and the tools to cultivate purposeful transformation, enabling you to live a meaningful life in the face of uncertainty and potential suffering. We all take turns with suffering; we all take turns with joy. You can feel accomplished and connected; I can help.

My office is not a typical stuffy doctor's office experience. I believe in showing people a lot of love and lending them a compassionate ear. Healing begins with understanding - and you don’t have to do it on your own. My approach to therapy is rooted in helping you gently explore who you are and how you move through the world. Together, we’ll work to loosen the grip of fear and shame so you can reclaim your story with compassion and confidence. In our work, I’ll support you in recognizing patterns that no longer serve you and help you in shifting them to create space for growth and healing. We will work to strengthen self-trust, improve emotional regulation, and develop a clearer sense of identity. College students come to me to understand their underlying beliefs and emotional experiences that contribute to academic stress, anxiety about life after college, people-pleasing, perfectionism, general anxiety, and depression. I enjoy helping young adults navigate difficult family dynamics, set boundaries with themselves and others, and improve self-esteem. Wherever you are on your journey, I am dedicated to supporting you as you work toward healing.
Hi, I'm Aliyah! I work with clients who are depressed or anxious, having issues with family, or simply just need a space to vent and figure out things as we go. Many of my clients have ADHD, Autism, OCD, Anxiety, or Depression. I am direct and solution-focused, so we'll get to the root of your unhelpful habits/patterns and figure out a game plan on how to move forward. I also do offer a sliding scale (therapy for cheaper rates) as college is already expensive enough! If you're ready to stop feeling like you're just getting through your day, reach out today. Evening & Saturday options available.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can explore all parts of yourself, find your voice, and build a life that feels true to who you are. Whether you're navigating identity, life transitions, relationships, self-worth, boundaries, learning to prioritize your own needs, or the anxiety and depression that can come along with it all, I'm here to support you. I'll help you notice patterns, ask the questions that spark reflection, and create a space where we can be honest, curious, and probably laugh together too.

I am a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience, primarily in higher education settings. My practice focuses on working with diverse people who are navigating life transitions and demands, particularly those connected to their identity and sense of self. I believe each of us is shaped through our life experiences, both positive and painful. Therapy is an opportunity to explore these experiences, especially if you are feeling unfulfilled or questioning your life’s purpose and meaning. While this process can be difficult, it can also lead to tremendous clarity, insight, and even joy! Because of my years working in higher education settings, I have a nuanced understanding of the unique demands that undergraduate, graduate, and professional students face during these phases of life. I hold expertise in working with students of Asian descent and other BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students. I have worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ folx, first generation college students, those impacted by immigration (self or family), and student-athletes (DI and DIII institutions; I am credentialed through Emory Athletics Sports Medicine). Considering the different facets of client identity is central to my therapeutic approach, which is collaborative and empowerment-based. I welcome you to email or call me to connect about working together. I meet people via telehealth and offer a complimentary 20 minute initial consultation. The initial consultation gives us a chance to discuss your hopes for therapy, and we can collectively determine if we believe working together is in your best interest. I am authorized to practice in several states outside of GA via PSYPACT (psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap), which can be very helpful for students who live in different states when they are not in school. Congratulations on beginning this journey!

Hi there! My name is Kennedy Inman, APC, and I work for Creative Center for Wellness in Athens, GA. I work with a lot of different people on a lot of different things. My favorite kind of people are complex and messy! I use various pop culture metaphors and humor in my sessions, and believe that we don't have to be defined by what has happened to us, but what we choose to become moving forward. I use therapy modalities like Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which uses eye movements and narration to enable cognitive reprocessing. I also utilize psychoeducation to help teach and develop coping skills, emotional regulation skills, communication skills, etc. My goal as a counselor is to help you live the life you want to live safely, healthily, and in your own voice.

My name is Amanda Schneider and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Georgia. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences and then obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work from Valdosta State University. I am currently under supervision, supervised by Adina Tucker LCSW, while I work to obtain my LCSW. Life transitions can be challenging whether you’re adjusting to a new phase, managing anxiety, moving through grief, facing relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck. I work with adults and teenagers (13+) who are navigating these complexities, offering a grounded space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Therapy is unique to each person and together, we will explore what works best for you. In a safe space, we will explore your strengths, goals, and experiences in order to find healing and growth. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and centered on helping you reconnect with yourself. Together, we’ll focus on building self-esteem, practicing self-compassion, and recognizing your own strengths especially in moments when those things feel hard to access. With a background in hospice care, I have experience working with individuals and families navigating chronic illness, death, and the grief that comes with those experiences. I’ve also worked with older adults navigating anxiety, depression, isolation, and aging related issues. These experiences shaped the way I show up as a therapist and I strive to offer a space where you feel safe to be yourself and talk through your true thoughts and feelings. Starting therapy isn’t always easy, and it’s okay to feel unsure about where to begin. I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, reconnect with a sense of purpose, and build skills that support you long after our work together.
