Boston, MA

Welcome. My name is Kate, and I offer psychodynamically oriented, trauma-informed, compassionate, and affirming therapy to folks of all kinds. I work with people across the lifespan, many of whom identify as queer and/or neurodivergent and are trying to make sense of a world that can feel overwhelming. Some are living with long-term stress, trauma, anxiety, or depression, while others are seeking support with life transitions, relationships, or family dynamics. I also offer clinical supervision. Clients often value working with me when they feel ready to explore their inner world more deeply—to better understand the hopes and fears beneath relational and behavioral patterns that increase suffering. I also regularly offer skills-based techniques, drawing from DBT, to help with in-the-moment management of distress and emotional overwhelm. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is fundamental to a successful experience. My hope is to provide every client with a safe, supportive space to explore, learn more about themselves, feel truly seen, heard and accepted, build new skills, grow, and reconnect with who they really are. I look forward to connecting with you.

Hey there! I'm Aaliyah Nurideen, a licensed clinical social worker in Washington DC, New Jersey and Maryland. As a Black woman, I'm all about creating spaces where we can heal and grow together. Trust me, it's revolutionary stuff! At Ashé Mental Health and Wellness Space, we're not just talking, we're making moves. Our sessions are all about empowering you with the energy and tools to take control of your life and find what works for YOU. We start with a simple question: "What's your intention for yourself in this space?" Then we work together to turn those thoughts and ideas into real, actionable behaviors. It's time to slow down, get present, and show yourself some love and patience. My mission? I'm here to: -Create a judgment-free zone for all your feelings (because life can be messy AF) -Hold your virtual hand when we tackle the tough stuff (about you, others and the world) -Get curious about what's holding you back from living your best life -Clock your strengths and skills (especially when you're struggling to see them) -Help you come up with game plans when life throws you curveballs. All of this is to help you live YOUR version of a peaceful, connected life.

*TELEHEALTH ONLY* My practice is a safe place for all women and their unique beliefs. Are you exhausted? I'm here to help women who are struggling with life's inevitable ups and downs. Are you navigating modern motherhood, and work-life "balance" (is there EVER really complete balance)? Does making friends feel like a chore? Maybe it's ADHD, anxiety, or postpartum? Is perimenopause knocking at the door? Let's figure it out together. I am kind, but direct in my approach. Please understand that I no longer conduct phone consultations. I believe that the best way to truly decide if we are a good fit working together, is to meet and go from there. My approach to working with clients is that the client is always the expert on their own lives. I see clients from a strengths-based perspective, and help my clients recognize and use those strengths fully. I take an integrative approach to meet your needs. I am a psychodynamic therapist, but I make use of polyvagal theory and mindfulness as well. I know it can be overwhelming to reach out for help when you need it the most. It takes bravery to take this next step. Be proud of yourself for being here right now. I typically respond within two business days. Check your spam folder to be sure you didn't miss it. Please note that I ONLY work with WOMEN in my practice and ONLY via telehealth at this time.

Grief can make us feel lost and confused, but we can feel better. People typically think grief and loss are solely about losing a loved one. But we endure ambiguous losses more often than acknowledged. It can occur through experiences such as depression, anxiety, a relationship break-up, pandemics, or other life events. Although the emotions might seem to be everlasting, healing is achievable. I believe everyone needs support from others at some point in their lives. That does not mean they are weak or incompetent. It just means the situation might be harder to manage independently. That makes us all human. For over 20 years, I have worked with diverse populations addressing various mental and behavioral health needs. I want to help you learn strategies to address unhealthy thought patterns so that you can have more control over your overall well-being. I believe therapy is a partnership. Together, we can work towards achieving your desired goals.

Life as a college student is supposed to be great, but at the end of the day it can really suck. Exams, studying, roommates, relationships, missing home - these are all things that can drive us crazy, not to mention any depression or anxiety that might have been hanging around before. And if you’re dealing with sexuality or gender identity issues, it can really feel difficult. If you’ve made it this far you’ve taken an awesome step towards figuring stuff out. It’s not easy to do, and therapy really can help with the right fit. Whether it’s LGBTQIA+ issues, dealing with a less than ideal roommate, or just figuring out what you want to do with your life, I’ve been there and want to help you through it too.

I often find that when one hits a crossroad in their life, it can sometimes bring stress, but also has the capacity to create growth and resilience. I take a warm, engaging, and persistent approach with clients as we explore how to make sense of the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may be undermining your happiness and productivity. I have had the privilege of helping individuals make meaningful change in their lives for over a decade. My approach is highly collaborative, and individualized to the needs of my client. I enjoy working with individuals of all backgrounds, and have extensive experience working with international populations. Being a student in higher education can come with its own unique set of challenges, and opportunities for growth. Counseling students at Johns Hopkins University for over the better part of a decade has given me a unique view into ways to help students negotiate difficulties and be successful at school. Here are some of the areas for which students often seek my assistance: -Procrastination/time management -Study skill strategies/building an optimal study schedule -Imposter syndrome -Bullying/harassment/discrimination -Challenges with peers and/or faculty -Adjusting to living away from home or in a new area -Managing changes at school due to Covid-19 -Leaving or returning to school because of medical or mental health concerns

If you’ve been struggling with stress, depression, or relationship challenges—or if you’re just feeling stuck and want things to be different—I can help. Many students come to therapy when they’re navigating big changes: adjusting to college life, dealing with breakups or family conflict, grieving a loss, or trying to manage perfectionism and pressure to succeed. Together, we can explore the patterns that keep you feeling anxious, unmotivated, or dissatisfied—and help you build new ways of understanding yourself and relating to others. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I help students tap into their strengths, learn healthy ways to cope with uncertainty, and create more authentic, fulfilling relationships. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but it’s really an act of self-care and courage. It’s a space to be heard without judgment—and to begin making meaningful changes in your life. You’re tired of questioning yourself and feeling “not enough.” Painful experiences in your past colored your inner world gray... Lingering wounds like childhood trauma, narcissistic partners, and betrayal trauma impact how you see yourself and interact with others. You want to break free from being a perfectionist, people-pleaser, or high achiever compensating for internalized self-blame, shame, or inadequacy. Using a blend of brainspotting & psychoanalysis, we can tap into the connection between your body, brain, and psyche to work through stuck points in your inner world, as well as your social, cultural, and familial landscapes. Brainspotting is an alternative to talk therapy that could bypass the limitations of language and access the brain's subcortical regions involved in emotional processing, memory formation, and instinctive reactions. By focusing on points in the visual field, or "brainspots," we can tap into unresolved trauma and emotions stored in the subcortical brain. My goal is to help you process old pain, gain insight into its origins and how it shaped you, reframe limiting narratives from childhood, and integrate fragmented pieces of you into a cohesive sense of self. Schedule a free phone consult with me through my website to see if we might be a good match.

Imagine a life where you truly connect with yourself and those around you, where past traumas become stepping stones to a brighter future. At Inclusive Therapy and Consulting Services LLC, we don't just offer therapy — we open doors to a transformative experience. Specializing in supporting the LGBTQ+ community, individuals living with HIV, and their allies, our mission is to bring you world-class psychotherapy that's not just compassionate but deeply tailored to your unique journey. Because everyone deserves a space where they're not just heard, but truly understood. I completed my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University, New York, in 2010. During my tenure in New York, I furthered my training with the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, emphasizing care for LGBTQ+ outpatient adults. Over the past twelve years, I've had the honor of working with a myriad of individuals and couples representing all gender expressions, sexual orientations, and diverse relationship configurations, including polyamory, consensual non-monogamy, kink, and BDSM. Before establishing my private practice, I dedicated four years as the Director of Behavioral Health, specializing in mental health care for those living with HIV/AIDS. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist, with over a decade of specialized clinical experience. As a queer-identified, trauma-informed, and sex-positive professional, my expertise lies in supporting individuals living with HIV, addressing substance use disorders, and working with a broad spectrum of relationship dynamics. I also offer dedicated services in sex therapy, as well as therapeutic interventions for trauma, anxiety, mood, and adjustment disorders. My therapeutic methodology is eclectic, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Relational Therapy, and more. At the heart of my practice is the conviction that everyone has the right to lead an open, secure, and fulfilling life.
