Welcome to a space of warmth, non-judgment, and compassion! I enjoy working with people who are on a journey of self-introspection and discovery. You are the expert of your own life - I am here to help empower you with an approach of gentleness and humor. My work experiences include treatment of eating disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, relationship issues, grief, and perfectionism. I have extensive experience with college-aged clients from my time spent as a therapist at CU Boulder. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I value and respect diverse perspectives. I am passionate about helping people stay present while experiencing meaning and joy. If you are looking to live intentionally and mindfully, we can work together to help you begin your progress towards a more fulfilling life. (Note: I cannot see students attending CU Boulder for my private practice due to my employment at the university)
I have 30 years of working with adolescents and young adults. My approach to therapy is founded in the value of the therapeutic relationship. It is very important my clients feel heard and validated with a sense of security as they explore their experiences of both suffering and success. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidenced based psychotherapy treatment to help improve communication with others, reduce fears and phobias, interrupt thoughts that lead to addictive or other self-destructive behaviors, improve self esteem and change negative thought patterns. I have extensive experience working with diverse populations in psychiatric hospitals, treatment programs, the criminal justice system, young adult transitional programs, family systems and private practice.

Hello! Welcome. I am a psychologist working via tele health and provide a welcoming positive approach to therapy. With more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), I help adults from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals, navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction and recovery, identity concerns, life transitions, relationship patterns, and questions of meaning or spirituality. My specialties also include depth psychotherapy, psychedelic integration, and identity and spiritual exploration for adults seeking healing, self-understanding, and meaningful personal transformation. I believe in meeting each person with compassion, interest, and respect for the complexity of their lived experience. As your therapist, my role is to be a collaborative and supportive partner who helps you explore not only what’s hurting, but also the strengths, meaning, and possibilities for growth within your experience. You don't need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy; we can discover the path together. If you're curious about yourself, I’m here to help you understand not only what you're struggling with, but the deeper emotional, relational, and unconscious patterns underlying those struggles, so you can move toward greater authenticity and a more grounded, meaningful relationship with yourself and your life. I look forward to helping you gain greater self-understanding, connection, and a life that feels more authentic, grounded, and fully your own. Depth-oriented, humanistic, somatic, and trauma-informed methods, along with spiritually integrated psychotherapy, shape how I help you explore the deeper patterns beneath what brought you to therapy. I bring genuine and deep attunement to your unique inner world and experience, as I'm passionate about helping you understand not just what's happening, but why. My style is curious, compassionate, and authentic, allowing me to tailor therapy to your needs, identity, and goals. You can expect a warm, nonjudgmental environment where all parts of your experience are welcome as we work together. Through this work, you can create meaningful, lasting change. My path to becoming a therapist grew from a longstanding interest in healing, contemplative practice, and understanding the deeper dimensions of the human experience. Over the years, working with people across diverse identities and life circumstances has deepened my commitment to providing care that honors the whole person. I bring empathy, authenticity, and a depth-oriented perspective to each session, creating space for you to explore your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and discover your own path toward healing and transformation. I love reading and writing, meditation and other contemplative practices, and studying mythology and spirituality. Gaming is another favorite of mine, especially D&D and MTG, and spending time with my family and my two dogs means a lot to me.

Many folks who sit with me share the weight of being a human in a world that does not seem to honor, value, or support them. It can feel exhausting to continue carrying our wounded selves through a sea of ongoing oppression and late stage capitalism. All the while, we continue to feel the pain of our childhood wounding and challenges with relationship and connection. It can feel overwhelming and hopeless. How do we find our way in all of this? Sometimes when I sit with others, I imagine we are sitting at a table where you can lay out all the many wounds, fears, disappointments, losses, and challenges of being a human. Together, we can look at each challenge and honor it. We honor what it has to say, what teaching it has, what pain it carries. Somehow, in the process of holding this space, we often find the tightness of the pain loosens. In this process, we develop a greater capacity for holding and processing emotion, paving the way for a richer life. As we move forward, we often discover a greater capacity for joy, connection, fulfillment, and love! After all, this is another hallmark of being human, finding joy and love alongside the pain and challenge. If you're interested in sitting at the table with me, please reach out for a free consultation. I look forward to hearing from you!

My ideal client is motivated to improve their quality of life and may struggle with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and grief/trauma related issues. They are interested in understanding themselves and cultivating healthy coping strategies to deal with the challenges of our modern world, with the ultimate goal of thriving, not just surviving. They understand that we all have the opportunity to continue growing and want to live a more self-expressed life by identifying and challenging negative and self-limiting thinking patterns. I compassionately support and validate my clients, while also encouraging them to take on the challenges in their life. I have significant experience with mindfulness practices and believe in the power of creativity (writing, music, art) as a therapeutic tool. Most people are settling for less than what their lives can possibly be. I am committed to helping you lead a self-expressed life and to help you see all the ways that you are a gift to yourself and others. I do not have all the answers, but I believe that together we can inspire each other and produce breakthroughs you may not think are possible.
