Do you feel overwhelmed, burnout, mentally or physically exhausted? Are you struggling with anxiety and can’t seem to manage mood swings? Unable to achieve your goals due to lack of attention span and decreased motivation? There may be many contributing factors complicating your situation such as unresolved conflicts from childhood, substance abuse and interpersonal relationships. It may also be quite scary to seek medications and treatment for things you can feel but not see. But let me tell you- we are not our brains! Rather we are affected by the way how our brain functions and we all depend on the healthy flow of neurotransmitters to function and to thrive. Some brains produce these naturally, while others require some assistance and that’s nobody’s fault- same way that it is not an individuals fault for producing less insulin or thyroid hormone. So let’s aim to resolve these mental health issues together with holistic and integrative methods. As a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, graduate of Vanderbilt University and with over a decade of experience, I am well versed in evaluating, diagnosing and treating mental health disorders for children, adolescents and adults. I am truly committed to provide exceptional and high-quality psychiatric care. Utilizing extensive expertise and evidence-based practices to enhance mental health across the lifespan and eliminate disparities. Passionate about making a positive impact on individuals’ well-being.
Are you the firstborn? Frustrated from juggling the demands of caregiving in your family? Do you find yourself constantly overwhelmed, struggling with sleep, or battling persistent fatigue that seems to linger no matter how much rest you get? If you're experiencing mood swings, social withdrawal, or neglecting your own needs while prioritizing everyone else's, it may be time to seek support. **Please note, I am not seeing clients with unmanaged personality disorders at this time** Professionally, I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern. I offer therapies that do not require much talking. I am a Certified Brainspotting Therapist, I am EMDR-trained, and offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Personally, I'm a nerdy, cat loving, Emptynester and Navy Veteran from Brooklyn, NYC.
College can bring big changes, new pressures, and moments that feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to carry it all on your own. With the right support, these challenges can also become opportunities for growth, confidence, and clarity. I work to help college students navigate transitions, manage stress, and heal from past experiences that may still feel present. In our work together, you’ll find a supportive space where you can be your real self with no pressure and no judgment. Using approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work and EMDR, I help clients uncover what’s beneath the surface, strengthen their sense of self, and move toward greater balance and resilience. My goal is to walk alongside you as you learn new ways to thrive, not just get by.

The college experience is not what Hollywood would have you believe. In addition to being academically challenging, students often face other challenges such as learning how to navigate the logistics of life (such as making it to an 8:00 a.m. class!) without the oversight and structure of parents, learning how to establish new friendships, learning relationship skills, and finding balance in their lives. It can simply be overwhelming. You may just need a little help. I am an LCSW and have 30 years experience in the social work field and have spent the past 6 years providing mental health counseling with students in a university setting - my favorite population ever! I have worked with students dealing with adjustment to college, executive functioning, relationship issues and navigating helicopter parents. College students can find themselves experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD and sometimes this is the age when issues like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia arise. Sometimes past trauma begins to rear its ugly head and cause issues that need addressing. Asking for professional help can be scary; but can help you determine if you might just need some skills to help you better cope or if you have deeper issues going on. Just know that you are the one in control in counseling sessions - I can't insist you share more than you are ready to share or "make" you do anything you don't want to do! You are the boss! I would love to walk with you in your journey! This can be a very exciting time and we want you to make the most of the opportunity.
For Students Wrestling with Identity College is supposed to be where you figure out who you are—but that’s not always easy. Maybe your family, culture, or faith told you one version of who you should be, and it doesn’t match how you actually feel inside. You’ve tried to belong, but it can feel like parts of you have to stay hidden. I specialize in working with students exploring cultural, spiritual, gender, or sexual identity. Together, we’ll make space for your questions, doubts, and discoveries without judgment. Therapy isn’t about fitting into a box—it’s about helping you feel sturdy in who you are, even when it feels messy or uncertain. If you’re ready for a place where all of you is welcome, reach out today. Let’s start with a conversation about what you’re carrying and what you hope to find.
I’m an LPC with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and 2 years of clinical experience in both nonprofit and private practice settings. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, borderline personality disorder (BPD), bipolar disorder, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that are hard to change on their own, overwhelmed by emotions, or unsure how to move forward in relationships or in life. My approach is eclectic and personalized, drawing from CBT, DBT, humanistic, gestalt, existential, and narrative therapy. I believe in unconditional positive regard, autonomy, and transparency—clients are the experts of their own lives, and my role is to help guide and support meaningful, lasting change in a way that fits who they are. In our first session, we complete a biopsychosocial assessment, talk through your goals, and make space for any questions you have about therapy. From there, we collaborate on a plan that feels comfortable and supportive, gradually exploring your history and patterns while building toward practical, forward-focused growth.

At Severance Therapy, we’re proud to be a diverse collective of clinicians and staff—some of whom identify within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, and others who are fierce, informed allies deeply committed to this community. What unites us is a shared dedication to providing affirming, culturally competent care in a space where authenticity is celebrated, not questioned. Many of our clinicians bring personal experience with addiction recovery, sexual identity exploration, and the complexities of queer life—from coming out and dealing with internalized stigma to navigating sobriety in a culture that often centers around substances. Others have spent their professional lives walking alongside queer clients and communities, engaging in continual learning, advocacy, and personal reflection to be the kind of allies who show up loudly and consistently. Our team includes LGBTQIA+ therapists and allied professionals from a range of racial, cultural, and gender identities. Some are in long-term recovery. Some are sex-positive and kink-aware. Some bring academic expertise, while others bring years of boots-on-the-ground experience in queer spaces, harm reduction, and sober living. Together, we offer a dynamic, compassionate, and deeply relatable therapeutic environment—because we know healing happens best when you feel seen, heard, and understood by people who truly get it. College brings a lot of change — newfound independence, heavy course loads, and big life decisions that come with new relationships. My desire is to provide a warm, down-to-earth space where college students can talk through the challenges of becoming more independent, manage academic stress, and figure out next steps after committing to a partner. Together we’ll build practical skills, set realistic goals, and find choices that feel true to you. If you need support navigating this stage, I’m here to help.
