Welcome! I work with people who may be struggling with a variety of different challenges from grieving the loss of a pet, struggling with thoughts of the future in a world that seems to be falling apart, and people struggling with gender identity and sexual orientation. I offer an LGBTQ and neurodivergent-affirming environment. While I pull from gold standard techniques such as EMDR, Brainspotting, ACT, DBT, and CBT-I to address a variety of issues and symptoms, I take a collaborative approach to tailor our work together to best fit your needs. I have over ten years of experience in the mental health field both as a researcher and as a psychotherapist. The first five years of my career was spent at the Montrose Center in Houston, Texas where I worked with the LGBTQ community as a psychotherapist and a case manager. This valuable experience urged me to take my career further by going into private practice where I am honored to work with members of the LGBTQ community as well as those outside it.

Hello! My name is Jennifer, and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. Congratulations on taking the first step in improving your emotional wellbeing and I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. My highest priority is to offer empathy, guidance, and support, all while striving to create an inclusive space for all, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodiverse individuals. My approach to therapy includes a mixture of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness to help you navigate issues such as anxiety/stress, grief, depression, and adjusting to life’s challenges. My approach is structured yet adaptable, always tailored to your unique lived experience. I also hold a certification in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) which allows me to help you with acute stress and critical life events. In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we will discuss what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences and together, we can work towards identifying goals that are important to you. My hope is to create a supportive environment so you can leave that first session feeling heard and with a sense of direction. My passion in counseling centers around helping clients heal from past trauma, while facilitating the rewiring of their nervous systems. I focus on supporting their journey toward feeling open to connection and personal growth. I would be honored to work with you and help you find the path that's going to help you make peace with the past, and write a new story moving forward. A story where you can be your own beacon of safety for yourself and for others. Healing from past traumatic experiences is possible, I've seen it for myself, and I fully believe it's possible for you as well. With a BA in Nursing in addition to my MA in counseling, my nursing background greatly influences my approach to counseling. I try to educate my clients on how the brain and how our nervous system works as much as possible, so that my clients can leave each session feeling empowered to work with their nervous system, and not against it. Together we can create the right goals, with the right timeline, that equip and empower you to see your beautiful self in a whole new light, with a sense of agency, and hope for your future. I encourage you to reach out for a free 30 minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit for each other, hope to hear from you soon!

San Francisco, CA

My name is Dr. Aparna Atluru, and I am a Stanford trained psychiatrist, am on faculty at UCSF, and specialize in seeing young adults (18-35). I further subspecialize in treating young up and comers in high stress roles: graduate &professional students, residents/physicians and start-up founders/tech employees. I am many things professionally: academic physician, double boarded psychiatrist, skilled psychotherapist, and Harvard MBA. Given my diverse educational, training, and teaching experiences, I am able to understand high achieving young adults from a unique perspective. I feel I am the best fit for young adults who are multi-dimensional, high achieving, and are motivated to make a change. I have a very limited private practice, and only take on patients who are interested in working on their whole self from a mental health perspective. I provide both psychotherapy and medication management (if needed). As a double boarded physician specializing in psychiatry, I have extensive training in both pediatric and adult psychopharmacology. From a psychotherapy perspective, I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy and existential psychotherapy. On the personal side, I am originally from Texas, am Indian- American, and enjoy being outdoors, writing fiction and sipping on a good boba tea. My patients tell me I have a witty sense of humor, so if you can handle that, please reach out and lets see if we can work together!

Hi, I'm Dr G. You're likely here because you're feeling alone, stuck, hurting, or overwhelmed...I get it. My niche is working with the unique mental health concerns that affect marginalized/minoritized, first generation/immigrant, LGBTQ, non-traditional, and migrant college student populations. I have worked in multiple clinical settings and at several universities (including UC, Berkeley, Cal State University, Long Beach, Idaho State University, and Saint Edward's University in Austin, TX) with a diverse range of clients and presenting concerns. I have extensive training incorporating CBT strategies in treatment and providing trauma-informed care for concerns like anxiety, depression, life transitions, homesickness, and navigating complex relationships. I work to build trust with my clients in order to form a collaborative dynamic that focuses on growing self-understanding while building tools to meet therapeutic goals. The specific approach I use is grounded in evidence-based treatments, empathy, and a multicultural perspective that honors how identities and social contexts shape our experiences. Ready to shift things up?...I’d be excited and humbled to be a part of your process.

Seeking support for yourself or your child(ren) takes courage so let me be the first to congratulate you on taking this first step. I am here to assist you in navigating the many changes and challenges that we are sometimes faced with in this life. In assisting you on your journey, I take a Cognitive Behavioral approach which seeks to target your thoughts, behaviors and feelings. In addition to CBT, I also incorporate solution-focused techniques to aid you in achieving your therapeutic goals. In the same way we seek a doctor for medical needs and a dentist for all things teeth related, seeking support from a mental health clinician is simply a way to meet your mental health needs. My purpose is to be the support you need.

Do you find yourself thinking, "Something is wrong. Why am I feeling this way?" Do you have times when you feel overwhelmed and tense? Are you afraid of failing and that you will never feel good enough? I want to help ease your anxiety and walk with you through your depression. I'll help shine some light on your concerns, so that you will not have to feel alone in your thoughts and feelings. We're going to figure this out together. My role as your therapist is to help you gain the knowledge of your symptoms, the skills to ground and calm your body and mind, and the supportive resources within yourself and your environment to create the life you desire. Together, we will address where your concerns began and led you to where you are now. Shedding light on how your anxieties and depression were created can be a powerful and healing experience. My ultimate goal is for you to have discrete tools and techniques that you can use wherever you may be. I have had the opportunity to work in multiple settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient centers, autism clinics, private practice, a school, & a non-profit agency; this has led me to tailor my counseling techniques for each unique individual in their environment. I would be honored to guide you through this journey, whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, life transitions, or relational difficulties.

You’re juggling a lot. Classes, work, friends, family, money, maybe figuring out who you are and what you actually want from life. And somewhere in the middle of all that, your mental health is supposed to “keep up.” My practice is here for that in-between space—when things aren’t exactly falling apart, but they’re definitely not okay. I work with college students who are dealing with anxiety, overthinking, burnout, relationship stress, grief, and big life transitions. Together, we slow things down, sort through the noise, and build practical tools you can actually use in real life. Sessions are judgment-free, conversational, and tailored to you—no pressure to be “put together” or say the perfect thing. You can come as you are: exhausted, unsure, overwhelmed, or just curious about therapy. If you’re ready to feel a little less stuck and a little more like yourself again, you’re in the right place.

Has it been a while since you felt like “yourself”? Are you feeling unsure about what to do next or where to turn for help? Are you feeling burnt out? The truth is, life can be pretty messy. We all have a different life story that has impacted how we think and feel, and at times, our circumstances can be very confusing, painful, and overwhelming. The good news is: whether you are seeking relief from feelings of depression or anxiety, needing support with life balance, adulting, or relationships, or searching for tools to help improve your self-worth, you do not have to do it alone.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Humble, TX

With over 15 years of experience as a clinician, I provide a supportive and evidence-based approach to therapy for adults. I recognize that many different circumstances bring someone to therapy, and there’s no one single intervention that works for each person. With that in mind, I value understanding each person‘s history and collaboratively developing a “road map” for meaningful change. Holding a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas, I have treated a variety of mental health conditions and assisted clients with complex life changes and “seasons”. My approach integrates psychoeducation, skill-building, and validation to empower clients with practical tools for growth. Whether you’re facing emotional struggles, relationship difficulties, or simply seeking personal growth, my goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where healing and progress can occur.

In sessions, I focus on building a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported and empowered.
