Therapists for college students near Austin, TX
Hello, I'm Nargis Ali, a licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas with over six years of experience in the counseling field. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently pursuing my PhD in Counseling and Supervision. I believe that healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and supported. In my work, I strive to create a warm ans nurturing space where you can show up exactly as you are - no judgement, just understanding. Together we'll explore your experiences, uncover patterns, and move toward emotional healing and personal growth at a pace that feels right for you.
Life is hard! I get it, and more importantly, I get you. Therapy doesn't have to be hard. Sometimes you just need some extra set of eyes on your life with genuine concern and wide expertise. What type of clients found the most success with you thus far? Therapy doesn't work like that with me. Counseling is a personal process. But if you're willing to be goal set, grow, and experience counseling in a non-"bad and bougie" sort of way. Then come check me out!!!!
I attempt to gather information in an easy manner, not "drilling" questions so people can feel comfortable sharing. I inquire whether previous counseling has been attempted to understand prior experiences with therapy and how it was helpful or not. I am a hopeful, positive person and try to help others find their strengths, positivity and hope within them as well. I will ask what goals a client has for themselves for therapy and life so we can focus on achieving those goals. As an experienced therapist, I recognize that people have had difficulty in their lives and do not diminish their story or not discuss the "hard parts" while we try to find ways to heal.
With both the high and on-going demands of college, you may have noticed your body is struggling with things like headaches, knots in your back or shoulders and/or GI disteess. Behavioral medicine counseling can help with these types of pain, as well as chronic medical issues. My practice offers highly effective techniques in a supportive and compassionate style.
Entering adulthood isn't quite like you expected it to be. Yeah, you get more freedom, but you also get the added responsibility of being "the" adult. You find yourself more anxious and experiencing these different emotions that leave you feeling burdened and overwhelmed. You've tried several ways to cope, but those only offered a temporary solution. And if we're honest, they weren't the healthiest ways to cope. Managing your day-to-day life has become even more difficult, and you realize you can't go on like this much longer. As a marriage and family therapist- associate, I am skilled at helping individuals and couples live a healthy and more sustainable life. I fully understand the challenges that come with college life and am here to help. Through our time together, you’ll learn healthy and effective skills to cope, identify how to name and manage troubling emotions, replace irrational thoughts with realistic and empowering ones, and engage more positively with those around you. College years don't t have to be something that you heal from as an adult. I can help you find balance and healing now.

I help teens and adults with anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, and sleep issues break free from self-limiting beliefs and patterns, so they can live with more freedom and purpose. You might look successful on the outside, but inside, you're caught in a push-pull between productivity and paralysis—swinging between overworking and procrastination, unable to truly rest even when you're drained. Maybe stress is showing up in your body—tension, headaches, trouble sleeping. Or perhaps past experiences have left you feeling disconnected from yourself and others, wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR to help you quiet self-criticism, process past experiences, and reconnect with yourself. For insomnia, I offer CBT-I. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, or sleep struggles, therapy gives you the space to step out of survival mode, build new skills, and feel more like yourself again. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if we’re the right fit. With telehealth sessions available in 40 states and Washington, DC, and in-person appointments in Dallas, therapy has never been more accessible. Ready to take the next step? Welcome to your healing journey! Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who currently serves adults throughout the state of Texas. I have a profound passion for mental health and strive to create a safe, therapeutic space where your unique story is valued. Whether you are seeking support for concerns related to work stress, relationships in your life, life transitions, need support managing your emotions, or need assistance processing a troubling event, I am here for you. During sessions I use a variety of trauma informed approaches to therapy, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR aims to help make tough memories less distressing, while promoting healing from difficult experiences. Through personalized strategies, I am dedicated to empowering my clients to explore patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that can lead to a more fulfilled life. I am also a therapist who utilizes holistic approaches, so I incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and somatic practices into our sessions. Some sessions will be tougher than others, but you are the expert of your own healing. In our first session, you take the lead in defining the path forward. We will explore the pressing issue that brought you to seek support and will create a treatment plan that is uniquely tailored to the goals and changes that you are looking for. I do require a 15-minute consultation call before the first session is scheduled.

I strongly believe in the potential of human beings to access their inner resources to create change and empower themselves to have the quality of life they want and they deserve. I am a Spanish/English Bilingual Therapist who works with adults. As an immigrant myself, I understand cross-cultural and acculturation situations that hinder daily life due to immigration processes. Part of my focus as a therapist is to comprehend and work with the nuances of different backgrounds and cultural needs. I have been a hypnotherapist for over 14 years. I have extensive training and experience in Traditional and Ericksonian Hypnosis. I also have training in healing emotional wounds through regressive techniques. I truly believe hypnosis is a magnificent technique to help clients reach out their inner resources, create change and empower themselves.
Dr. Rademan starts treatment with a thorough and detailed inventory of life experiences that could be contributing to current concerns. She also explores body pain and chronic health concerns as those can be impacted by trauma and emotional wounding. Just like with physical health, mental health can be impacted by earlier 'injuries' that flare up later in life. Many people have been in and out of therapy throughout their life and haven't found sustained relief due to not healing the root issue or concern. At the foundation of treatment, Dr. Rademan utilizes a trauma and cognitive focused framework. Trauma is not only major violence or death, but can also be a loss of a relationship, not getting your needs met when you were a child, or ongoing major stressors. Trauma can be described as anything that significantly changed the way you view yourself or the world.
