Are you looking for renewal? I believe in transformation through renewal of your mind, body, and spirit. I've worked for 16 years as a Christian in the mental health field, 4 years as a therapist. I am passionate about supporting couples, and individuals with depression, anxiety, adjustment/life changes, stress management, low self-esteem, and school challenges. A large area of my work has been devoted to helping individuals through trauma, grief, and relationship challenges. I approach counseling with a strengths-based lens, incorporating elements from especially cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and narrative therapies.
I am a board certified psychiatrist and provide combined psychotherapy and medication treatment. My patients are typically looking for therapy to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. They are also often looking for support with evidence-based medication treatment. I listen carefully to understand the difficulties that bring someone to treatment and to understand their goals. I am collaborative in my approach. I approach psychotherapy from a psychodynamic perspective, where the goal is to increase understanding and insight into thoughts, feelings, and behavior. When we can understand ourselves better, we can then change patterns that may be getting in our way. This type of therapy can often lead to lasting change. Please note that because my practice is telehealth only, I do not prescribe controlled substances (for example, stimulants for ADHD or medications such as Xanax or Ativan for anxiety).
Offering Services that include Psychiatry, Behavioral Health Psychiatric Evaluation Medication Management/Medication Interventions to individuals struggling with Life Transitions, and mental/emotional health conditions.

Finding Balance and Support in College College can be exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. Between managing classes, relationships, future plans, and daily responsibilities, it’s easy to feel stressed, anxious, or emotionally drained. Maybe you’re struggling with focus, motivation, or perfectionism. Maybe you’re dealing with self-doubt, past experiences, or mental health challenges that make it hard to keep up. At Cura Meadows, I specialize in helping college students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of their next steps. Many of my clients are thoughtful, ambitious individuals who want to do well but feel weighed down by stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, or burnout. Some are navigating family expectations or healing from past trauma, while others just need support in managing the pressures of college life. I offer therapy and medication management in a space where you can process what you’re going through and find real solutions. Whether it’s learning new coping strategies, addressing underlying patterns, or exploring whether medication could help with focus, mood, or anxiety, our work is personalized to fit your needs. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, passionate about collaborating with clients who are on their mental wellbeing journey. I believe the future is always negotiable and there is reason for hope. Change may not be easy, and may take time, reflection, and exploration. My ideal client is open, truthful, self-reflective, courageous, and willing to work towards what he/she/they want for their lives. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or boundary issues, I believe we can work together to help you reach your goals.
Many of the clients I work with are navigating big transitions, starting college, living away from home for the first time, or trying to figure out what comes after college. Some feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, or self-doubt. Others are dealing with relationship changes, family dynamics, burnout, or just feeling stuck. If you're someone who feels like you're supposed to have it all figured out, but secretly don’t, I get it. We will work together to sort through the noise, understand what’s getting in your way, and build tools that help you feel more steady and in control. My approach is down-to-earth, supportive, and built around what matters to you. You don’t have to have a diagnosis or a big crisis to start therapy. If something’s weighing on you, let's talk about it and strategize your success.
You feel like anxiety has crept into all areas of your life. You avoid decisions or situations that feel overwhelming, and instead turn to any distraction (mindless eating, social media, drinking, etc.) you can find to avoid the shame and guilt of not moving forward. Maybe you're struggling with body image and wonder if you're relationship with food and exercise is normal. Your fear of failure keeps you stuck in your personal and professional life, and in relationships. I work with young adults who feel trapped by anxiety and their fear of failure, find freedom in their relationships, academic and career life and from negative body image. I believe that therapy can create long-lasting, meaningful change in this pivotal point in life.

Most of the clients I work best with have one thing in common: they feel overwhelmed by the pressure to “have it all together,” especially around food, body image, and big life transitions. Many of them are students who look fine on the outside but are quietly struggling with anxiety, burnout, or feeling disconnected from their bodies. I often work with people who: Feel guilty or stressed about eating and don’t know how to break the cycle Overthink food choices or feel “out of control” around food Are adjusting to a big life change (moving away from home, starting college, pregnancy/postpartum, major stress) Carry a lot of self-criticism and feel exhausted from trying to meet everyone’s expectations Want a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or misunderstood My clients tend to be caring, hard-working, sensitive, and often the “strong one” in their friend group. They’re usually trying to balance school, relationships, and their own mental health—often without giving themselves the same compassion they give others. If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. My goal is to make therapy feel like a safe, steady place where you can slow down, understand what’s going on underneath the stress, and feel more connected to yourself again.
Hi! As a clinically-trained therapist, I want you to know that the struggles you face and the traumas you have experienced do not have to define you. You have the ability to create a new path for yourself, to live the life you really want to live. I would love to help you create that life. As a Christian counselor, I believe God created perfection and placed it all in the Garden of Eden. Unfortunately, sin entered the picture and people have been struggling with the effects of sin ever since. Sometimes that struggle is beyond our resources and understanding. We need to have someone help us through life's troubles. I work with adults, couples, and teenagers. I am interested in helping my clients deal with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, spiritual issues, marriage issues, trauma, and others. My husband and I have been in church ministry for over 40 years. We've seen a lot. While I am passionate about my own spiritual walk, I do respect the journey each person is on. It is not my place to dictate to you how your walk should look. God is big enough to handle that part all by himself. I am married to a pastor, have two adult children, and one son-in-law. I dearly love spending time with my family and sometimes try to do a craft project.
You are here for a reason, and we are all in this battle together. In other words, connected. We need to work together in an effort to get each person through. Therapy is about the journey to the destination. Whether you are someone who's been dealing with depression, anxiety, personality complexes, behavioral challenges, intrusive thoughts, or irregular emotions, substance abuse, trauma, treatment can be the first step in healing. Deciding to engage in therapy is a big decision and I believe the connection to your therapist is extremely important. I strive to create a safe space that allows you to explore your current and past self. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to live wholeheartedly in the present, which is why I will work with you to identify and overcome any negative and overwhelming feelings and/or thoughts. The goal of recovery is always in our sights, we can develop effective coping skills, mindfulness and meditation practices, calmness and relaxation techniques, and resilience training using strengths perspective to achieve optimal health. It may seem too difficult to get to the other side, but you have been brave to get to this point, and I want to hear your story and help you to a better day-to-day life. My passion is counseling and I love to be with clients in their journey to find the path they want to be on so I hope you will let me get to know you and help you. Contact me and we begin your healing journey together. I can’t wait to meet you.
