Stephanie Marks at Shorebird Psychotherapy
I currently have immediate openings for teletherapy and I also offer walk-and-talk sessions at the San Jose Rose Garden. I am licensed in both California and Texas. I have more than ten years of experience working with adolescents and young adults. I most frequently help my college-aged clients navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive dysfunction, giftedness, self-esteem and body image issues, relationships, grief, disordered eating, and trauma. I specialize in, and especially enjoy working with, ADHD, gifted persons, and college-aged young adults. As a private practice clinician since 2012, I take an affective, strengths based, approach to therapy. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, trauma-informed care, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. I work with individuals and families, and I facilitate an LGBTQ+ inclusive group for college-aged young women and non-binary persons. My style of therapy is centered, relaxed, and collaborative. It is vital to my practice that clients know they are talking to a real human being, and my client-therapist relationships are built on mutual trust and safety. I believe that mental healthcare should be holistic. To get at the whole person, I like to explore the interplay between movement, nutrition, sleep, and time spent in nature. And because mental health impacts so much of our lives, I often advocate for my clients and help coordinate support with other academic and healthcare professionals. I strongly believe that mental healthcare should be accessible and easy to navigate for everyone. I welcome clients from all communities, backgrounds, and walks of life. Outside of my home office, I am an avid hiker and eater of takeout. I’m learning to surf, and my favorite part of every day is spending time with my sixteen-year-old wiener dog.
Anne Manske
Hello, and welcome. You've taken the hardest step already in looking for help! I am a Texas and Massachusetts based Licensed Professional Counselor. I am a Marriage and Family therapist and Individual therapist. I work best with individuals AND couples, who want to do the hard work to make changes, whether you're in a committed relationship, whether it is a spouse, or partner, or friend, or another human being! If you need help communicating, or interacting, in a healthier, more assertive way with another person, I would love to work with you. Family of origin, and childhood wounds is an area we can explore, together. You don't have to do this alone anymore. Everything relates back to relationship, whether it's to ourselves, or another person! I also specialize in helping people with anxiety, depression, and related issues. If you are wanting to just talk, and process things, or learn effective tools, skills, to change how you're functioning, you've come to the right place.

One Foot Forward Counseling
Starting therapy does not mean you are falling apart. Sometimes it just means you are ready to stop carrying everything alone. I work with college students and young adults who are trying to balance school, work, family, relationships, stress, anxiety, and everything else that comes with figuring life out. Some come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or burned out. Others are navigating trauma, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or patterns they are tired of repeating. I also enjoy working with BIPOC students, first-generation students, student veterans, service members, and military-connected students. Therapy with me is a space where you can be honest about what you are carrying, sort through what feels heavy, and feel like someone actually gets it. We can start wherever you are.
The Mind Parlor
The Mind Parlor is a collaborative counseling practice emphasizing specialized and high quality care. We're not a fan of "one size fits all"... it doesn't work for shoes and it definitely doesn't work for people. We also know your health and well-being are not places on which you want to skimp. This is why we've spent years perfecting our craft and compiling a network of high-caliber specialists to fit any need. We'll match you with the therapist that best fits you. Even if that means setting you up with one of our preferred providers out of house. Bottom line, you deserve the best quality. At The Mind Parlor, we want you to have just that. Now serving the entire state of Texas. Virtual appointments available.

Do you struggle with depressive moods or negative thoughts you wish you could just change or simply make go away? Wanting those dark thoughts to change, or hoping to run away from them, is completely normal. But avoiding those thoughts can leave us even more stressed, irritable, and disconnected from our loved ones. I promote compassion, honesty, and empowerment while working with clients who struggle with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about helping students, young adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals struggling with mood, personality, and eating disorders. Above all else, I’m focused on building a strong relationship with my clients, and I feel deeply privileged to be allowed into their lives. I make therapy a judgment-free zone where humor and warmth are a regular part of the process. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and allows each individual to guide their own recovery process. I can help you build upon the strengths you already have and develop even more coping skills for the various obstacles you may face. Ultimately, I strive to create a safe space for you to explore even the thorniest areas of your mental health journey. If you’re ready to make a change, give me a call today!
Moving Parts Psychotherapy
We offer trauma informed therapy for children, teens, and adults, in-person in South Austin, telehealth available to all Texas residents. I specialize in helping women in their 20s and 30s who are struggling with anxiety in relationships and sex, or those who are processing past sexual trauma or toxic relationships. Many of my clients notice patterns or traits within themselves which are impacting their relationships and intimacy, leaving them feeling disconnected and at a loss for what might help. In addition to my work with adults, I also enjoy working with children and adolescents (ages 3-18), especially those who are neurodivergent or highly sensitive. With a background as a Preschool Teacher, a Registered Behavior Technician working with children on the Autism Spectrum, and as a long-time babysitter, I am able to connect deeply with young people to help them feel understood. My personal experience growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, which manifested as an inability to regulate my emotions, extreme sensitivity, and emotional outbursts, informs this work. I approach this work as an opportunity to nurture my own inner child and offer the support I wish I’d had growing up. I utilize a client-centered, strengths-based approach to play therapy in order to help the children I work with feel safe to express themselves authentically. My approach is compassionate and trauma-informed, integrating Nervous System Regulation, Somatic Experiencing, Attachment Theory, and Trauma-Informed Care to help you rebuild trust in yourself and cultivate healthier relationships. My priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your emotions and experiences without judgment. In our work together, we’ll explore your past and present, identify patterns, and create a plan for healing.

My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions. I am fat-positive, sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and deeply committed to inclusivity, helping you embrace your authentic self in a world that often pressures us to be anything but. I am also deeply passionate about Health at Every Size (HAES), dismantling diet culture, and supporting life-enhancing, joyful movement that honors your body. Judi Yapias, LPC
Welcome! I am a Judi Yapias board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor, and I specialize in intergenerational trauma and understanding how trauma and stress affect the body. To better understand what your body is signaling, I integrate modalities in my practice such as mindfulness-based therapy, somatic techniques, and trauma-conscious approaches. This is an impactful approach to better understanding big and uncomfortable emotions, what the body is communicating, and those teeny, tiny voices of intuition telling us something is off. My goal is to help you begin the process of understanding and connecting with yourself on a deeper level. We’ll work on building trust between your head and heart and explore all the things about your life - cultural identity, relationships, behaviors, values, feelings, and belief systems. Together, we’ll create a foundation that empowers you to feel more integrated and aligned. Specialties Mental Health Conditions treated Relationship issues Trauma Anxiety ADHD Depression Treatment philosophy Whether you may be experiencing BIG feelings, interpersonal struggles, or wanting to better understand yourself, I am here to support you using a collaborative approach. Through a guided process and integration of mindfulness-based and trauma-conscious approaches, you and I will talk through your lived experiences. Some of these discussions will give you a sense of joy, sadness, frustration, anxiousness, pride, and excitement. As we dig and uncover these stories in a safe space, we often begin a discovery of your strengths and wisdom - from a present you and intergenerational standpoint. This experience is almost like when your body constricts and caves into a discomfort and, once ready to release, it expands and grows. Treatment approach Culturally Sensitive Trauma-Focused Emotionally Focused Mindfulness-Based(MBCT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) Practice description As we get curious about your goals, your story, your values, and your beliefs systems, we process through patterns about how you have survived & protected yourself up until this point and how these patterns affect you and your relationships (familial, platonic, and/or romantic) - looking within ourselves and connecting it to finding our space and belonging in the collective. Monica Rusinowski
Monica is a bilingual therapist and the child of immigrants who believes that true healing grows from the threads that connect us — to our bodies, to the people around us, and to the world we inhabit. Growing up between cultures, she learned early how identity, language, and community shape our sense of self. Her journey to counseling has been shaped not only by professional experience in diverse communities and holistic mind-body practices, but also by years of personal self-healing and self-discovery through reading, reflection, and engagement with feminist theory and history. These experiences have deepened her understanding of how gender, power, and society influence our inner lives and relationships. She works with women and femmes who have ADHD and has a nuanced understanding of how gender shapes ADHD lived experiences. Monica provides compassionate support for the unique challenges and strengths ADHD brings, helping clients navigate identity, relationships, and self-trust with insight and validation. In working with Monica, clients will learn about themselves and ways to leverage their neurodiversity to their benefit, allowing it to enhance their lives rather than hinder them. Monica is also passionate about supporting women in reclaiming their sensuality, self-trust, and pleasure, particularly in the wake of trauma. Her work in this area integrates conversation, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and embodiment practices, including yoga. By creating a safe and affirming space where clients can explore intimacy, desire, boundaries, and identity without shame, the therapeutic space allows clients to heal, reconnect, and embody their true sensual power. Through therapy, Monica guides clients to reconnect with themselves fully. In connecting to their bodies, minds, desires, and voices, clients can cultivate lives that feel grounded, empowered, and authentically their own.

Ansley Huffman
Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. I work best with individuals who are navigating the impact of trauma and who are open to exploring how their past continues to live in their body and shape their present. Together, we’ll gently uncover how your experiences have influenced your nervous system, your emotions, and your inner narrative—so that healing can begin not just in the mind, but in the body as well. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that the body holds deep wisdom. Through Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, and sound therapy, I support clients in reconnecting with their inner guidance system—the intuition that emerges when we truly listen inward. This work can bring about clarity, regulation, and a felt sense of peace that goes beyond intellectual insight. At its core, my work is relational and intuitive. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in connection—with self, with body, and with another safe presence. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, helping you explore your story and reconnect with your innate capacity for resilience and wholeness. If you’re feeling the pull toward deeper healing—toward safety, embodiment, and self-trust—I invite you to schedule a consultation. You don’t have to do this alone.
