Obtaining a second Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at La Salle University, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as a, Internationally Certified Advanced Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Drawing from a variety of treatment styles and approaches, I focus on connection and the emotional experience, authenticity, empathic understanding and compassion. My current affiliation with the Bucks Eating Support Collaborative, Bucks Recovery Center, and Bucks LGBTQ Center as well as the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), American Psychological Association (APA), the International Psychology Honors Society (PSI CHI) and recognition as a member of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH), further validate how my practice offers clients a professional experience, connection and environment where they can feel safe to explore life's challenging dynamics with freedom and without judgment.

She has a unique focus in working with intergenerational trauma and cultural issues with individuals from various cultural backgrounds. She works with adolescents from age 12 and beyond! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Newtown, PA, certified in trauma. I am passionate about supporting adults and teens who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, sadness, loneliness, disconnection, panic attacks, or overwhelming stress. I also work with couples who want to strengthen their bond or work through challenging conflicts. My mission is to provide a warm and understanding space where clients can find the tools they need to move forward in a healthy and fulfilling way. I specialize in trauma therapy because I know how deeply it can affect every part of a person's life. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, I help individuals explore how trauma shapes their thoughts and behaviors. Together, we work on grounding and coping techniques that foster resilience, empowering clients to regain a sense of control and safety. My approach is about more than just managing symptoms—it's about helping clients develop healthier, more positive ways of thinking and living. I support them in recognizing and changing negative thought patterns, building coping skills that encourage self-compassion, and fostering deeper connections to themselves and others. I believe in working collaboratively, setting clear and achievable mental health goals, and guiding clients toward lasting change and personal growth. Sessions are usually 50 minutes long, but if you feel like you've shared everything and are ready to conclude, we'll end the session when it feels right for you. Therapy is about your needs and pace, but as your therapist, I will guide and support you throughout the process. I offer both weekly and biweekly appointments, depending on what best suits your journey. The environment I create is warm, empathic, and caring—ensuring you feel safe, understood, and supported as we work together toward your goals. I also offer telehealth therapy, so you can access support from the comfort of your own space.
“The path isn’t a straight line; it’s a spiral. You continually come back to things you thought you understood and see deeper truths.” ~ Barry H. Gillespie My approach is holistic, somatic, compassionate, and collaborative. Somatic psychotherapy allows you to get to the root of your concerns. While traditional talk therapy can be helpful, therapists and healers are realizing the importance of including the body into the therapy process. By blending somatic practices based in the Hatha yoga tradition, you will come to a better understanding of how to regulate your nervous system, and therefore find relief, ease, and strength. As a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I am deeply passionate about working with clients who are a part of the community. My specialties include: addiction, trauma/C-PTSD, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, ecological despair/anxiety, religious trauma, Women’s issues, HSP (highly sensitive persons), and bipolar/borderline. I also offer outdoor ecotherapy as a way to deeper connect to yourself and the natural world.
I believe that you are already capable of change and I guide you through stepping into it. I specialize in anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationships. Much of my work has been in treating anxious individuals who struggle with worry, self-doubt, and "analysis paralysis". I can help you recognize what is interfering with your daily life, relationships and overall well-being and adopt healthier belief systems. I am also especially passionate about helping couples recognize the "stuck points" in their communication patterns and replace them with with vulnerability, closeness, and connection. Primarily, I work with adults, couples, and teens/young adults. My passion is helping people gain insight and tools that foster personal growth and relief from their symptoms! I particularly value the mind-body-spirit connection and strive to work alongside my clients to achieve an individualized holistic treatment plan that promotes self-awareness and growth. Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice at PhilaPsy, where I offer psychotherapy for adults of all ages and specialize in working with individuals in early to middle adulthood. I have a varied practice, with people coming to therapy for a wide range of reasons. My areas of particular focus include working with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, transitions or changes in life, stress, self-esteem, identity, relationship issues, interpersonal conflict, trauma, and feeling lonely, angry, empty or stuck. Across contexts, I provide identity affirming, culturally responsive, relational care. Therapy invites people to explore, process, and make sense of their ideas, emotions, experiences, challenges, and areas of conflict. I approach this work with collaboration and curiosity, bringing focus to how our relationships, social systems, personal histories, and development inform the ways we experience ourselves, others, and the worlds we inhabit. I believe a central part of feeling helped is finding a therapist who brings hope, humor, safety, and a sense of belonging. With the right fit, therapy can provide building blocks for people to heal, find community, uncover a path for themselves, and discover ways of living in this world that feel meaningful. If you are interested in reaching out, I offer a free phone consultation to get a sense of what you are looking for, address questions, and discuss possible next steps. Together, we can determine if we might be a good fit. To learn more about my work, please visit: philapsy.com

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have over ten years of experience as a therapist working with clients whose lives have been affected by addiction. Because I am educated and trained to work with family systems, I am always treating relationships. It doesn't matter if I work with an individual client, a couple, or a family. Your relationships matter to me and are an integral part of our work. My ideal client is someone that has been or is currently affected by addiction - their own or someone else's.
People come to treatment for a variety of reasons. I view each person as unique and strive to assist individuals to overcome challenges and meet the goals that are important in their lives. As we work to let go of stress, pain, behaviors, thoughts and feelings that are not useful in the present, new healthier patterns can emerge and be adopted.
