In working with you, my goal is to help you improve your overall sense of well-being, improve your relationships and address life's challenges with greater self-assurance and ease. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in the present. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will address what may be holding you back from experiencing life with greater joy and ease.

Note: I work for Wellness Works Counseling, LLC. Feel free to call the number below and request to work with me if it seems we will be a good fit! Tina is a counseling psychologist who believes therapy should be supportive, collaborative, and meaningful. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and English secondary education from Thiel College, a master’s degree in general experimental psychology from Bucknell University, and her doctorate in counseling psychology from Carlow University. She completed her doctoral internship at the University of Pittsburgh Counseling Center, where she worked closely with university students, providing therapy, assessments, and crisis support. Tina enjoys working with emerging adults who may be navigating life transitions, questions of identity, or challenges in relationships. She also supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or difficulty managing emotions. Tina is especially drawn to working with clients who are curious about themselves and motivated to grow—whether that means learning practical coping skills, understanding emotional and relational patterns more deeply, or creating greater balance and fulfillment in daily life. Her approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and integrative. Tina blends DBT- and CBT-informed skills with psychodynamic and relational perspectives, tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered, honoring clients as the experts in their own lives while working together toward meaningful change. Tina is deeply committed to multicultural competence and values the cultural, social, and systemic factors that shape each person’s experiences and identity. I believe the relationship between client and therapist is what is most important in the therapeutic process. Feeling safe and comfortable is what will allow you to challenge yourself to be vulnerable. Building trust together is what makes the works we will do transformative. My 19 years of work experience thus far has prepared me in various ways to be a support to others. Most recently, I have worked directly with the college student population at a local university. My efforts with college-age students have reminded me just how difficult the transition between high school and the world, between youth and adulthood, can be. Navigating those decisions, molding a new identity, and learning about responsibility: these challenges require empathy and encouragement. My focus is a time limited therapy—understanding the root of the issues occurring and offering tools and support to ultimately make myself obsolete. I work out of an emotion focused lens, offering EMDR to manage and treat those destructive, rooted themes that arise in one’s life. I believe in the work I do. I believe change is possible because I have seen it, and I have lived it. There is nothing more exciting for me than to witness another’s curative process. Congratulations on taking this step towards joy and serenity, towards a more conscious, self-assured way of living.

I have enjoyed working in the mental health and behavioral health fields for over 12 years. I completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychological and Social Science from The Pennsylvania State University and my Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Holy Family University. I began my career working in behavioral health where I obtained my License as a Behavior Specialist working with children and families in both behavior modification and play therapy techniques for treatment of mood-related disorders, ADHD, and Autism. Additionally, I obtained my License as a Professional Counselor while working in outpatient therapy settings and I became recognized as a National Certified Counselor using cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction to provide treatment for issues relating to trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, and adjustment with children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

I have worked with people of all backgrounds but I generally work with women and the LGBT community. I work with clients on self-esteem, body positivity, anxiety management, trauma symptoms, and relational issues. As a human and a provider, I am feminist, anti-racist, fat positive, sex positive, pro-science, pro-vaccine, and pro-LGBT. My approach is varied depending on the individual's history with treatment. For people new to therapy, it may be helpful to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT involves looking at thoughts patterns and behaviors that may be creating obstacles in your life and setting up appropriate coping skills to address those issues. For people who come to therapy for the purpose of processing trauma, a trauma-informed, relational approach is necessary. For people who are looking to gain understanding about how their past intersects with their present behaviors, insight oriented therapy would be the best approach. I am not a "Listen and Nod" therapist. I will actively listen, provide you with feedback and analysis, and be open with you about your diagnosis, prognosis, and any treatments indicated. With full transparency, I say that I am not a validation-only therapist. Some folks want a therapist who will listen and validate without providing feedback or analysis. That is not my style. I will, however, work with you to figure out exactly how you can benefit from therapy.

I offer client-centered treatment options that are determined collaboratively between us. I value all people and work to be culturally sensitive and aim for cultural humility when working with someone whose identity is different from my own. I will always seek out information on my own to fill in gaps of general knowledge, but will look to you to share your own personal experiences and beliefs that may or may not follow the general norms of any given cultural identity. My clients often struggle with depression and anxiety which have systemic and/or family-based roots, and my job is to facilitate a process to help you develop self-understanding and self-knowledge to make choices that are right for you.

Hello! I am Codie Piotrowski, a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have supported clients across various settings, including schools, residential facilities, hospitals, and outpatient offices, which has allowed me to develop a flexible and compassionate approach to care. I specialize in animal-assisted therapy, using the human-animal connection as a unique and supportive way to help clients feel comfortable, engaged, and understood. I also incorporate art, play, and music expression into sessions to help clients explore emotions, build coping skills, and work toward their personal goals in ways that feel meaningful and approachable. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, focusing strongly on building positive therapeutic relationships and meeting each client where they are. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I am currently pursuing EMDR Certification. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and thrive.

I work with individuals/families who are experiencing OCD, Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, Perfectionism, Phobias, BFRBs, Body Dysmorphia, Emetophobia, and other OC spectrum and all Anxiety Disorders. My treatment is focused on using Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy for OCD and other anxiety disorders, along with ACT or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I focus on helping folks develop tools for coping and then problem solving, goal setting and encouragement to face fears head on. This leads to freedom from Anxiety and transformation, building inner confidence and strength. If you or someone in your family is feeling constantly anxious, stuck in rumination cycles or sticky thoughts, or if you want to take your life back from the binds of anxiety and OCD this might be the right next step for you. If you want to learn to trust yourself better, rather than constantly doubt, this may be the place for you to start your journey. I'd be honored to walk beside you if you would like support and learning along the way.
