Dr. Michele Slabaugh, DBH, MA, LPC-MHSP-S, NCC believes in using a combination of approaches to achieve the best outcomes for clients. Most sessions will have a foundation of Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and we will work together to incorporate other techniques such as Solution-Focused Brief therapy, DBT, Psychoeducation, Spirituality/Faith-Based Perspectives, Motivational Interviewing and Positive Behavior Modification approaches as requested and appropriate. After a comprehensive initial biopsychosocial assessment, a treatment plan will be developed with the aim of establishing problematic symptom relief, quality of life improvement/restoration and coping skill generalization. Dr. Slabaugh’s clinical career spans over 35 years starting out in the medical field through nursing and then a transition to the behavioral health field through her work as a services and clinical director treating medically and behaviorally challenged adults and children across all life experiences with extensive experience with complex and co-occurring conditions/diagnoses. Additionally, Dr. Slabaugh has a love for providing consultation and interim leadership support. Over the years she has served in senior level roles with multiple organizations providing clinical operations, strategic planning, innovative healthcare system transformation and project management expertise.

Sometimes our thoughts can lead us to feeling overwhelmed and trapped in our own heads. Allow me to help you unpack those negative thoughts, and empower you to create positive affirming ones. My goal is to work together with my clients to aid them in getting better acquainted with their emotions, and help them understand the relationship between their thoughts feelings and behaviors. As your therapist I will help you navigate various pressures, and triggers in order to be more insightful as a means of coping. I use a collaborative individualized approach and work together as a team with my clients. This enables us to jointly identify techniques that will empower your healing process! My specialties include work with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and the LGBTQIA+ community whom are coping with anxiety, depression, body image, life changes, bi-polar disorder, ADHD, and other related conditions. Starting therapy and opening up to someone can be unnerving.I invite you to schedule a FREE 20 minute meet and greet ( consultation) to discuss how I can further support your needs and to gain a sense of familiarity with one another.
If it's taboo, I want to talk about it. I like to keep it real—laughter, tears, swear words. These are all useful tools in therapy, and in life. I believe that therapy is more than me asking, “How do you feel about that?” Therapy can inspire growth, change, and self-acceptance. It is a discussion. A process. An adventure (even if it’s a f*cking messy one). I can’t promise you that it won’t be a bumpy ride—the road of personal growth is often anything but smooth. But I can promise you this: I value the role I will play in your journey and I will be there for every (uneven, messy, unpleasant) step of the way. I am a LGBTQIA+ and relationship minority affirming therapist. My approach is fueled by 100% authenticity and a sincere passion for helping others arrive as their authentic selves. By arriving as MY authentic self, I can do my best work and best help you. And it is my hope that you will soon realize that your authentic self is actually "the best you", too. So, let's talk about it. The grimy. The "embarrassing". The difficult. Let's help you finally move from simply surviving day-to-day and feeling "stuck", to feeling like you are living a life of purpose and intention (yeah, that's a thing). I'd be so honored to be a part of your journey. (Just leave your swear jar at home.)
Maybe you’ve been through relational trauma, adoption, or foster care, or had to play the “responsible one,” or learned early on to keep the peace, stay perfect, and not take up too much space. Maybe you’re just tired of feeling anxious in relationships, like you’re never quite sure where you stand—or who you’re allowed to be. You deserve support that really gets it. The Therapy Center for Transformative Growth (TCTG) was founded by two adoptees from foster care—also therapists—who couldn’t find the kind of care they needed, so they built it. Our center is a space for anyone navigating complex family dynamics, attachment wounds, identity questions, and the lasting impact of early or repeated loss. We’re especially attuned to supporting college-aged adults, BIPOC folks, LGBTQIA+ communities, and women—people whose stories are often misunderstood, minimized, or ignored altogether. Our therapists help you name what’s been hard, understand how it’s shaped you, and find new ways to move through the world—with more clarity, connection, and compassion for yourself. Therapy with us isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you come home to yourself.
Hi! I'm Diane, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I have experience working alongside individuals with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and adjustment concerns. I employ an eclectic approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness and problem-solving techniques, along with others, to assist you. I am not certified in a specific approach; however, I have had training and experience with each. I am grateful you have started the journey to begin mental health counseling; I can understand how scary this may be for you. I am here to help you process situations and build skills to aid you in overcoming your challenges. I believe one of my greatest strengths is building rapport to determine how to best be present for you, through empathy and active listening, in a judgment free space, and walk with you on this journey. Counseling is not a 'one size fits all' endeavor and I will spend time getting to know you to determine what best fits you as an individual.
Hi, I’m Adreeonah Mundy, a licensed therapist in Georgia and Pennsylvania. I specialize in supporting college and graduate students, especially Christian women, who are navigating stress, anxiety, imposter syndrome, or relationship challenges. Many of my clients are high-achieving, responsible women who love God but feel emotionally overwhelmed. They may be trying to figure out who they are outside of others' expectations, are tired of second-guessing themselves, or are struggling with singleness, family dynamics, or heartbreak. Some are asking big questions like: “How do I trust God and still take care of my mental health?” I help clients untangle those emotional knots, connect biblical truth with emotional healing, and show up more securely in every area of life—relationships, school, calling, and beyond. If you're looking for a therapist who will honor both your faith in Christ and your real emotional experiences, I'd love to support you.

I've dedicated my life to understanding and caring for the mind. Childhood curiosity drew me to study at Cornell University, which ranged from the philosophy of mind to the neurobiology of behavior. After studying neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania, I attended medical school. Here, I fell in love with psychiatry because I was fascinated with patients' stories and their unique ways of enduring them. I sought my graduate medical education at the Western Psychiatric Hospital of UPMC, one of the nation's largest and most renowned university-affiliated psychiatric hospitals. I specialize in integrating evidence-based (e.g., medication) and patient-centered (e.g., hypnosis) therapies. My prescribing is evidence-based and enhanced by patient-centered problem-solving that utilizes your existing attributes while evoking natural learning and adaptation processes. I consider a person's symptoms in the context of understanding them as individuals, considering their development, personality, and life narrative.
I have served as Director of 2 college counseling centers, and have worked in 5 others. I am only doing virtual appointments. I know the stress of being a student can be overwhelming, especially if you are also dealing with a mental health condition like depression or anxiety; a neurological difference like ADHD or autism; or a medical condition like an autoimmune disorder or chronic pain. I use humor, compassion, irreverence, and creativity to help you feel better and more empowered.
