Hi! I enjoy supporting teens and college-age/emerging adults who are struggling with anxiety, parental separation/divorce, ADHD, depression, self-harm, life transitions, PANS/PANDAS, and self-esteem. My goal is to support my clients in having a safe space to learn strategies, process their feelings, manage stressors and identify strengths that can work towards supporting themselves in a healthy way. No matter what difficulties you may be dealing with, I will help you to recognize underlying challenges, encourage positive thinking, identify strengths, and work to support healthy ways to progress within your areas of need. I realize that no two people are the same and I work to tailor my therapeutic approaches to meet the specific needs of my clients. My therapeutic approaches are collective and draw from the following evidenced based theories: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Family Systems and Mindfulness. Please reach out with any questions and I look forward to working with you!

Guessing your way through life is stressful. I work with college students who are realizing that there's a lot of things that they weren't taught in school and are ready to take control of their future. Now that you have more freedom and choice, you also have to figure out what to do with it. Who are you? Who do you want to be? What do you want to do with your life? How do you get there? If you're starting out college, you might be trying to get yourself into a routine, make new friends, navigate the campus dating scene, decide on a major, or handle the stress of midterms/finals. Maybe you're past that part of your college experience, but you still haven't found a good solution to those problems: still putting off studying, dealing with friend drama, having ups and downs with dating, etc. And if you're getting towards the end of your college experience, you might be worried out about what you're going to do after college and what that will look like. You don't need to figure all that out on your own. I help people get to the root of their problems so that they can understand themselves and others better. If you can understand your past and unlearn things that aren't helping you anymore, then you can replace them with healthy ways to move forward with confidence.

Anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship problems, and burnout can be very overwhelming and make you feel alone and exhausted. My clients often come to therapy looking for relief from the emotional and physical effects of these stressors that impact their relationships and well being. In therapy, together we can work to strengthen your coping skills, set and maintain healthy boundaries, gain insight and alter patterns that are no longer working for you, build more satisfying relationships, and improve your confidence and trust in yourself. My approach to therapy is relational, as I will provide a nonjudgmental, warm, and compassionate space for us to work together. I will try to help you feel as comfortable as possible when talking about parts of your life that may be difficult or painful. I believe that having an objective person listen to your story opens the door for validation, reflection, and change. I believe my job as a counselor is to listen, notice patterns, and help you reach the goals you set for yourself. I use an eclectic blend of modalities to center the people I work with in their own narratives, and help them move forward in ways that benefit them the most. I also have a lot of experience working with athletes, as I was a coach for 10 years before becoming a counselor. Please visit my website to see more about my coaching experience and work with athletes on performance and wellness. I enjoy being a generalized clinician, as I focus a lot on validation, control, and purpose in my practice. I find this can help each person, no matter what they are facing, to find a more positive path forward.

I have expertise in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, untangling impacts of trauma, and neurodivergent young adults, though many clients of diverse backgrounds and experiences tend to respond well to my authenticity and warmth. Clients seeking my support might be struggling with perfectionism, anxiety, burn out, boundary-setting, self-doubt, and identity. Common goals might include reducing anxiety, applying their awareness of self to healing, and approaching life and relationships with wellness and empowerment. My goal is to act as a partner in navigating the waves of life. I'm super excited to learn more about you! Building on sensory awareness, mindfulness, trauma work, and creativity, we'll dig for the root of your distress. Tools such as thought challenging, processing trauma, reducing nervous system burnout, and empowerment to lean into your long-term goals may be cornerstones of our work together. I cultivate an environment of authenticity, warmth, and creativity. Working with pre-teens to adults, I recognize that we have all experienced adversity to some degree in our lives and each degree is equally valid. While growth is often a layered and open-ended journey, your counseling relationship and an understanding of relational dynamics will be cornerstones for your adventure. Give us a call to discuss how we can help!

Let’s face it—finding a therapist can feel a little awkward. You’re trying to choose someone you’ve never met and wondering if you’ll actually feel comfortable opening up to them. I get that. What matters most to me is that you feel like you can show up as yourself, without worrying about being judged or saying the “wrong” thing. I’ve worked with all kinds of people, and I can promise you, you don’t need to have everything together before coming to therapy. You can bring the messy stuff, the uncomfortable stuff, and the things you’re embarrassed to say out loud. I also know from my own experience with chronic health issues that sometimes life takes turns we never expected. It can be exhausting, scary, frustrating, and lonely. That experience, along with my work as a therapist, has shaped the way I connect with people going through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, health challenges, and major life transitions. Therapy with me isn’t about having all the answers or saying all the right things. We’ll start wherever you are, figure things out together, and probably even laugh sometimes along the way. My hope is that you’ll feel heard, understood, encouraged, and a little less alone in whatever you’re facing. I'm here for you.
