Hello! My goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn, grow and overcome current obstacles to be your best self. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with college students. As an adjunct professor, I understand the academic stressors that college students face. I enjoy teaching skills that can be used to help regulate overwhelming emotions, communicate more effectively, and improve meaningful relationships.
At times, life can feel overwhelming. As if you are just going through the motions of day-to-day life. Many times you do not even recognize it until life becomes too hard and the task you once enjoyed, now takes all of your energy. My role as your therapist is to help you sort out negative emotions, thoughts, or behaviors that leave you feeling as if you are running on auto pilot. Together we will work on identifying unhealthy patterns in our thoughts and reactions, we will dig deep into our emotions and being, as well as develop techniques and skills to feel in control and stable. I come from a casual mindset in sessions but focus on challenging the negative thoughts patterns and working with the individual on overwhelming beliefs, behaviors, or feelings. I will focus on how emotions and negative thoughts impact your overall wellbeing and find solutions to get out of these cycles! I am trauma focused trained and well versed in the LGBTQ+ culture.

Hi, I'm Jennifer. I help my clients feel like themselves again after trauma, specifically sexual trauma or relationship violence. You’ve tried to get past it, forget about it, told yourself it “wasn’t a big deal”, but you’re in pain. Maybe you notice feeling scared and mistrusting of others, having mood swings, or feeling down about yourself. Trauma can take many different forms, so often we don’t realize what we’ve gone through until we unpack it with someone safe. I can be that person for you.
The Counseling Corner is a group of dedicated clinicians who take pride in providing quality mental health care. As a mental health practice, we assist members by providing therapy to a wide array of people who are in pursuit of happiness. Our team is comprised of exceptional clinicians with a variety of specialties to ensure we give you the best support possible. From our founder: I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply personal and meaningful to me. At 23, I faced an unimaginable loss when I lost my mother to alcohol addiction. It was a painful journey that led me to struggle with my own mental health for nearly a decade. During that time, I often searched for a purpose and a way to turn my pain into something positive. Today, I’m proud to announce that I’ve opened this mental health practice. We are building a team of incredible clinicians, each of whom shares a commitment to help others navigate difficult times and find hope and healing. Our goal is to create a safe space where people can feel understood, supported, and empowered on their journey to wellness. We’re here to save lives and help individuals reclaim their strength. If you or someone you know is looking for support, please reach out. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you. Dr. Aw's primary interest is the intersection between mental and physical health. Dr. Aw’s philosophy is that one does not exist outside the other. Furthermore, depression and anxiety in patients who are also suffering from medical issues can feel significantly worse, and it is his goal to get patients on a holistic road to recovery. An ideal patient for Dr. Aw understands that it takes a team to get them feeling better, and it is a collaboration between the patients themselves and Dr. Aw.
If you are wondering why you may be attracting the same type of partner or repeating the same types of losses in your relationships or friendships, then I am here to help you through it. Working through your attachment and unlearning some behaviors picked up in childhood can be done. Goals are meant to work in small attainable steps. While I am intuitive, I like to keep it real with you. What that means is that I will work with you in a direction that is suited to your needs. I’m Heather Wyatte. I help individuals, couples, and families learn to manage conflict and life’s stressors by better understanding each others’ needs. Life can feel hard if you are experiencing personal challenges, addictions, complicated issues, or adjusting to new life stages or changes. Managing relationships and effectively communicating with partners or family members can feel even harder during those times. But don’t fret, it can be easier to talk about the hard things when there is a mediator present and you are given tools to help. That is what Whole Family Therapy specializes in.
I am a queer, non-binary therapist with a specialized background in working with survivors of abuse and trauma as well as with LGBTQIA+ identified people. I am an Indian American and a child immigrant to the US so I can both personally and professionally understand experiences of students who are first generation Americans to international students. I also have an affinity for supporting and working with student activists. My approach is to create a nurturing, therapeutic environment that honors each person’s identity and experience while we do the hard yet compassionate work of therapy. Please reach out so I can confirm that I am within network with your insurance.
As a relational, attachment-based therapist, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful vehicle for change. As a systemic therapist, I also believe that the systems you’re part of matter, and that your experience can’t be understood outside of those systems. You may have had the experience of “getting” something on a logical level, yet finding that knowledge to be inadequate or insufficient. I believe real change has to be felt, not just rationalized. So I focus on creating a relationship where it’s safe to take relational risks and have new experiences that create change on a deeper level. Within the relationship, the work can take many forms. We may start by looking into your past, as I believe the past is important in understanding the present, and that it’s useful for helping you understand your attachment style and relational patterns. And if you’re one of the many neurodivergent people who have experienced trauma, we can draw on Internal Family Systems/parts work and Emotion-Focused Therapy to help heal your younger self. My goal is to always meet you where you are, and sometimes that might mean taking a more practical, skills-based approach. This could mean developing strategies to manage overwhelm, big emotions, and struggles with organization, time-blindness and prioritization. For example, you may be feeling like you know what you need to do yet still can’t get it done. Here I also draw on my background as an ADHD coach, and use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems to help you understand the emotions that may be getting in your way, see the different parts that create internal conflicts for you, and change how you relate to these parts.
I help students who need support with a multitude of issues including depression, anxiety, Substance Use Disorder, drug or alcohol abuse, behavioral and process addictions like gambling, isolation, academic issues, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I have been helping individuals and families my entire career and graduated with my second Masters Degree in 2009. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2015. I am licensed to practice in both PA and SC and am currently able to provide telehealth online therapy.
My name is Sarah and I am a therapist, coach and community organizer. I specialize in working with activists, organizers and politically left gen individuals who struggle with burnout, overwhelm and balance. You may be struggling with self-doubt, fear about the future and compassion fatigue. I can help with that. I work with individuals who are navigating trauma associated with living under capitalism. During our first few sessions together, we will begin to bridge the gap between your pain and systematic structures that impact you deeply. You'll begin to experience yourself as part of a whole community, not just an individual. Therapy with me will be political, restorative, healing and empowering.
If you're not feeling like college is exactly what you pictured, - you're overwhelmed by meeting a ton of new people, - finding it harder to be away from home than you expected, - or feeling like you're expected to just know how to "adult", That makes sense! And you're not the only one. It's really difficult to balance all of the competing priorities in college. There's the pressure to do well academically, the constant socializing or feeling isolated away from friends, the emotional shit creeping up on us at 4am... It's a lot. Many of our clients think, "On top of everything else, how am I supposed to know who I am or what I'm doing with my life?" Especially if you're queer or trans, this time can be even more challenging when you don't feel like you have a dedicated space to process what comes up. The truth is, you're not supposed to have all the answers. As you go through figuring it out (and finding more questions) - one step at a time - it might help to have some extra support. Kindred Therapy LLC is an inclusive, affirming psychotherapy practice seeing clients over telehealth in PA and NJ. We support you in accepting all of your parts, healing from trauma, and just overall navigating this weird life. We particularly prioritize space for queer, gender expansive, neurodivergent, and QTBIPOC individuals.
College can be exciting, overwhelming, and sometimes unexpectedly hard. Whether you’re navigating trauma, mood changes, stress, or the ups and downs of bipolar disorder, therapy can offer a space to better understand yourself and build stability. I specialize in working with college students, helping them manage challenges, strengthen coping skills, and move toward a more balanced, fulfilling life.
I have extensive experience counseling individuals from diverse backgrounds and helping them deal with various life issues. With my multicultural training, I am able to empathize and relate to each client so that I may identify their needs and help them with the presenting issues.
My name is Danielle Donovan and I'm so excited to begin this therapeutic journey with you! I currently work full-time as a School Counselor and I have eight years of experience working in the mental and behavioral health fields. I went to The Catholic University of America, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology, and Holy Family University, where I obtained my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a School Counseling concentration. Recently, I proudly accomplished obtaining my License as a Professional Counselor. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to empower individuals with whom I work to better understand their thinking patterns and to believe in their ability to overcome hardships and experiences relating to anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, life changes, ODD, ADHD, and Autism. Additionally, I enjoy implementing play therapy for children and adolescents to feel they can be honest and receptive in an approachable, engaging way.
