Your mental health is equally as important as your physical health, which is why I aim to provide a judgment free space for my clients to exercise their mind. While recognizing that you are the expert of your own life, I want to help you in achieving your therapeutic goals through a Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral approach.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist in New York and Connecticut with over 20 years of experience, and at the heart of my bilingual practice (English/Spanish) work is a genuine commitment to understanding you as a whole person. I offer a warm, affirming space where diverse identities and experiences are not just welcomed, but honored. I work with individuals and couples facing trauma, anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, relationship challenges, and more. My style is compassionate, attuned, and collaborative. I don’t just help you cope, I help you grow into a deeper, kinder relationship with yourself that transforms every area of your life. Life is a journey of growth, and I’ll support you to move through trauma, anxiety, depression, self-criticism, and fear of loss toward a life that feels rich, free, and truly your own. If you’ve been carrying emotional pain, stress, or relationship struggles on your own, I want you to know that reaching out takes courage, and that you don’t have to figure it out alone. When you’re ready, I’d be glad to walk alongside you. I integrate evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the Gottman Method for couples, and more. I support you to identify patterns that no longer serve you, improve communication, strengthen self-worth, and develop practical skills for symptom management, emotional regulation and lasting change. My approach also draws on 20+ years of experience using the following evidence-based modalities: Attachment-based I develop a deep, intuitive grasp of how early relational experiences shape internal working models, emotional regulation, and relational patterns, and apply this modality in a way that prioritizes our therapeutic relationship as a “secure base” from which the client can explore and rework attachment wounds. Psychodynamic I typically work with a deep, nuanced understanding of unconscious processes, relational patterns, and developmental history, applying the modality in a flexible, insight-oriented way that is tailored to the individual client’s needs. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) I work toward deeply internalizing the cognitive model and develop a highly structured, collaborative, and flexible way of applying CBT across a wide range of diagnoses, while maintaining fidelity to its core principles of cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skill building. Dialectical Behavior (DBT) I work toward deeply internalizing its biosocial model and dialectical philosophy, applying the modality in a highly structured, skills‐based, and validation‐rich way that balances acceptance and change. Acceptance and commitment (ACT) I work to deeply internalize ACT’s core model of psychological flexibility and apply it flexibly across diagnoses, and levels of functioning, focusing less on symptom elimination and more on helping clients live a values driven life even in the presence of distress.
I believe that the therapeutic journey begins with being able to allow yourself to move though what may be at times an uncomfortable experience to work towards positive long-lasting changes. Through exploring the different parts of yourself we can work to create a healthier whole version of you. With over 15 years of experience working with clients who have experienced relationship and sexual trauma, adjustment challenges, compulsive behaviors, anxiety and depression. I have extensive experience specifically working with the college aged population.

Hello! I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with young adults, LGBTQ+ people (especially trans and non-binary), trauma, and emotional instability. My clients often come from backgrounds where they feel misunderstood and invalidated. They sometimes feel frustrated with their important relationships, or like they're stuck on an emotional roller coaster, or like they have trouble relaxing and feeling safe. In therapy, I create an accepting, non-judgmental environment where my clients can feel truly seen. From there, I help clients understand themselves, what they want to change in their lives, and how to reach their goals. I completed my training at college counseling centers and a hospital program serving college students. I know the challenges college students face, and I love helping students overcome those challenges. If you think we might be a good fit for therapy, please reach out! I offer free 15 minute consultation calls for anyone interested. I am currently offering therapy in person in Berkeley, CA on Saturdays and over Zoom Tuesday-Saturday in California, New York, and Virginia.
I like to think of therapy as a journey of inner exploration and I am along as a guide. I believe that therapy is most effective when it is a combination of intellectual understanding and emotional experience. In that regard, it feels like your feelings are our road signs that we are in the right track to self-growth. I try to not have a specific agenda going into sessions, but rather to go where it is you feel like you need to go at that time. I believe that it is my role to create a safe space for you to express and explore whatever it is that is inside you. Compassion is key, and cultivating self-compassion is one of the most important elements of therapy. I look forward to helping you explore and become more self-aware and self-compassionate!
A warm and compassionate space for you to feel, express, process & move through your emotions. I believe that therapy should be as unique as you are. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. Each session is tailored to consider the many dimensions of who you are, embracing a holistic, whole-person perspective. While many say it, I truly mean it. My practice integrates traditional talk therapy with somatic (body-based) approaches to offer you a comprehensive path towards healing.
You don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating a major life change, coping with grief, or struggling in your relationships, I'm here to help. I work with teens, young adults, adults, seniors, and couples to create a space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward. My approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration—I listen deeply, but I also gently challenge when needed to help guide you toward clarity and growth. You're the expert in your own life, and my goal is to support you in finding the answers and tools that already exist within you.
Hi! I work best with clients who are figuring out who they are, where they belong, and how to navigate stress, relationships, and big life changes. Many of the people I support come from multicultural, multiracial, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, or immigrant backgrounds, and are looking for a space where all parts of their identity are understood and respected. You might be dealing with anxiety, family pressure, identity questions, or feeling overwhelmed balancing everything. Some clients I work with are also navigating the impact of immigration experiences, acculturation stress, or racial trauma, whether from personal experiences, family history, or systemic challenges. These experiences can shape how you see yourself and move through the world, and you do not have to process them alone. You do not have to have it all figured out. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and find ways to move forward that feel right for you. In sessions, we will look at both the deeper parts of your story and practical tools to help you feel better day to day. I often use a mix of approaches, including exploring patterns from your past, building coping strategies, and working on how your thoughts and feelings connect. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your lived experience. I aim to create a space where you feel safe being fully yourself, no pressure, no judgment, just support as you grow, heal, and navigate this stage of life.
My approach is non-judgemental, client centered, and trauma informed. Together we can work through whatever challenges you are facing to meet goals that have seemed difficult to attain. My intention is to pave the way toward healing, acceptance of your full authentic self, and long-term growth. Drawing on knowledge from queer, and critical race theory, we will work collaboratively to help you navigate systemic issues and its impact on your intersecting identities. I specialize in working with queer and trans individuals, BIPOC folks, military and first responders. I use a harm reduction lens when working on eating concerns, substance use concerns, and co-occurring issues.
I enjoy working with individuals who have ADHD, anxiety, self-esteem issues, trauma and/or emotion dysregulation. Through the use of specialized therapies (including CBT), I help you develop the ability to manage and express your thoughts and feelings, improve your relationships, get your needs met, extinguish the need for unhealthy behaviors, and develop a sense of internal completeness. I am a hypnotherapist as well a psychotherapist. I believe that therapy can produce healthy changes. I love being a therapist and understand the risk involved in taking the first steps toward getting help. Contact me today to begin your journey toward a satisfying life! While I am happy to address relationship issues, I do not provide couples therapy. I also do not treat eating disorders.
Oh college, it's "supposed" to be the best days of your life...whoever came up with that needs a serious reality check. I've been through it and have also worked with enough college students, young adults, and adults of all ages to say that for many of us, that statement is completely false. So please know that if you find that these are not the best days (or even if you feel that these are the worst days), you are not alone. There is nothing "wrong" with you and I am here to help. I unfortunately don't have a magic wand to transform your college experience into something you see in the movies, but I provide a combination of medication management and brief supportive therapy (a fancy way of saying I include some therapy during our 30 minute medication follow up appointments) that can help address concerns like depression, anxiety, obsessive thoughts, and mood disorders. I’ll work with you to create a personalized plan that meets your unique needs and helps you achieve your mental health goals. Talking about medication can be daunting. When I prescribe it, my goal isn’t to change who you are, but to help you rediscover what life can be like when your symptoms are managed. While medication won’t solve every issue, it can be a powerful tool alongside therapy and lifestyle changes, enabling you to reclaim your ability to thrive.
