Welcome, I am so glad you are here. Experiencing a loss or trauma can feel alienating and leave you lacking connection. Maybe you have experienced a loss/trauma while also navigating pregnancy, postpartum or infertility. Maybe you are/were military but don't feel supported by the systems in place to "help". You might want to feel different but struggle to navigate the how. Or the opposite you understand the how, you have done lots of therapy and continue to feel like you are not making the progress you wish. Whether you've never been to therapy before or you have tried it before but feel stuck; you are in the right place. Therapy is not "one size fits all". This idea is incredibly important to me in helping you create change in your life because not a single client’s stories are ever the same even if they are similar, your unique experience needs a unique treatment approach. One of the approaches I use which is different from most is Brainspotting. Whether it's traditional therapy, brainspotting or clinical supervision you are in need of; I would love to connect with you to discuss your needs and if I am the right fit for you!
Tara has an energetic laugh that puts clients at ease and enjoys playfully incorporating her love of sarcasm into her work with her clients. She has been known to lovingly call people out on their “bologna” when she hears it and is a great accountability partner. Noticing and reading nonverbal communication and body language is a skill Tara possesses in spades so she often learns a lot even from things that go unsaid. College is hard! I remember how hard it was in so many ways. I'm honored to be a support to you through this important time in your life. I specialize in anxiety. I also work on post-trauma growth for those with a history of trauma. My approach is both "bottom up" (focusing on how your body/biology is responding to stress) and "top down" (working with your thoughts and mind to better manage the way you are feeling/thinking). I am heavily influenced by my studies in mindfulness meditation and bring that approach into our work. I have a strong interest in neuroscience as well as spirituality. If you are overwhelmed, defeated and anxiety ridden we can help you to increase your skills, and awareness and take action. We work with our clients by ADHD, executive function and academic coaching to improve their executive function skills to find new successes and increase their confidence. Learning to take action and experience success creates confidence and provides a whole new perspective of hope and strength. Coaching is through live video session that vary from twice per week or four times per week. Private coach and student messaging take place between sessions to address questions, provide accountability check-ins and send resources. Our clients are paired with a coach based on their needs and preference to make a good connection and match.
