Hi, I’m Dale Karl, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with more than 20 years of experience helping adults work through anxiety, stress, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, and concerns around food and body image, including emotional eating, binge eating, and bulimia. I proudly affirm and support clients of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds. College and young adulthood can feel overwhelming at times. You may be dealing with pressure to succeed, overthinking, relationship stress, loneliness, burnout, uncertainty about the future, or feeling like you’re not fully yourself anymore. Even people who seem like they’re “doing fine” on the outside can feel anxious, exhausted, or disconnected internally. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. Therapy is a space where you can talk openly without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface, better understand the patterns keeping you stuck, and find practical ways to help life feel more manageable and balanced. Therapy is not about being “broken.” It’s about gaining insight, learning healthier ways of coping, and building a stronger relationship with yourself. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, lost, emotionally drained, or simply unsure where to start, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Life's challenges can sometimes leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of your next step. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I help adults navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, stress, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are successful, capable individuals who are used to managing everything on their own, yet find themselves feeling emotionally drained or stuck. My goal is to provide a supportive and authentic space where you can explore your experiences openly, gain clarity, and develop practical tools to create meaningful change. Therapy should feel like a partnership—one built on trust, understanding, and genuine human connection. My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques with a warm, down-to-earth style that meets you where you are. Together, we will identify patterns that may be holding you back, strengthen coping skills, and build strategies that support long-term emotional wellness. I believe lasting growth happens when therapy is personalized, collaborative, and focused on the goals that matter most to you. You do not need to have all the answers before starting therapy. Whether you are facing a difficult transition, struggling with stress and anxiety, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I am here to help. Taking the first step can be challenging, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful growth and healing. I invite you to schedule an appointment and start building the life you want with confidence, resilience, and support.

Whole Mentality, PLLC was created to support clients, and the therapists providing support, as safe as possible an experience receiving care. While we would love to say that mental health care means supportive care for all people, the opposite is often reality. Whole Mentality, PLLC strives to serve people from all backgrounds, identities, orientations, ethnicities, abilities, and experiences with the respect and care we all deserve. We exist to create affirming, accessible, healing centered spaces that celebrate and value clientele and their providers. We acknowledge the impact of the people and systems around us, and how we in turn impact others. Enrolling to college really does feel like being thrown to the wolves. While supports exist, navigating those can feel overwhelming. Let's navigate them together and to support who you are genuinely are.
Student life can be complicated but it doesn't have to be. Navigating personal and emotional concerns and relationships while focusing on academics, athletics or work/family-life balance often requires support and patience. Some students do this well, while others benefit from someone from the outside who provides them with a non-judgemental space to sort through and make sense of it all. Together we will identify the source of your concerns, and how we can work together to make sense of the thoughts, feelings and actions which are getting in the way of your personal and professional goals. I have worked with college students in many capacities and hope that my experience can help me to help you find a way through depression, anxiety, stress or life transitions.
Chris McGinn is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and/or career and education transitional issues. It is Chris’ goal to create a safe, accepting, and comfortable environment to allow you, the client, to grow in self-awareness and self-acceptance. This begins by forming a mutually desirable relationship and bringing focus to your counseling sessions by setting goals that will be re-assessed throughout the counseling process. Chris's general counseling approach is based on the Humanistic perspective, which helps you develop a stronger, healthier sense of self and access and understand your feelings to help gain a sense of meaning in life. Chris utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based approach to help you become your best self: the person you'd be if you just weren't so tired, so anxious, so angry, or so depressed. He believes your work together is to challenge the reasons you feel that way in the first place so you can move past them and start feeling happier, more productive, and more connected to the life you want. He incorporates modalities such as art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential therapy, play therapy, existential, and trauma-focused therapy in sessions. Chris feels that a client-therapist relationship based on trust and acceptance is the most important element of successful therapy.

Hi! I provide outpatient therapy virtually. My style can be described as direct, compassionate, and goal oriented. I take a collaborative approach where we will decide together what goals are best and what we want to do to meet those. I can support you in working through a multitude of things from perfectionism, stress management, relationship struggles, trauma, and chronic suicidal ideation or struggles with self harm. Tiffany is a native of Mississippi graduating from the prestigious Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. Tiffany graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Regent University. Tiffany has been providing counseling services since 2012 and Neurofeedback services since 2014. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. Tiffany is one of only three clinicians in North Carolina's Piedmont Triad Region who is Board Certified in Neurofeedback from The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and a certified mentor for the BCIA board certification process helping train other practitioners to become board certified in neurofeedback. Tiffany is a the only clinician in the region who has the Quantitative EEG-Diplomate Licensed (QEEG-DL) certification from the QEEG Certification Board. She is certified in HeartMath and serves as adjunct faculty at Wake Forest University in the graduate counseling program. Tiffany has received didactic training to read QEEG brain maps and administer scientifically based neurofeedback training from her mentor, Robert E. Longo, MRC, LCMHC, BCN; Richard Soutar, PhD, BCN (Alpha Theta Training); Tiff Thompson, PhD, MFT, BCN, QEEGDL, REEGT (QEEG Training), and Sebern Fisher (Neurofeedback and Developmental Trauma). Click here to listen to Tiffany’s talk on Developmental Trauma. When Tiffany began her career, she used more well-known techniques, like cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy, but it wasn’t long before she became increasingly aware that the mental health field needed alternatives. Neurofeedback takes advantage of the brain's ability to change itself allowing a person of any age to make changes in behavior and thinking patterns more easily. Using a combination of counseling and Neurofeedback, Tiffany began to see more substantial changes in her client's lives. Currently, Tiffany utilizes Neurofeedback and Heart Rate Variability in combination with traditional counseling. Click here to read Tiffany’s article on the popular Blog—Triad Mom’s on Main. Tiffany works with a variety of clientele utilizing a person-centered approach, which means sessions will start with you and your needs. Together, we will explore the issues that you bring to counseling in a holistic way with emphasis on emotional and personal history perspectives. Tiffany‘s experience has allowed her to work closely with many children, teenagers, and adults of different needs and backgrounds where she brings enthusiasm, compassion and cross-cultural understanding to her work towards healing and wholeness.
Life can feel overwhelming and confusing when we are met with expectations that do not align with our authentic self. I believe positive and effective change can happen once we become more confident and empowered within ourselves. I work with individuals to feel confident to make effective change within their life in order meet their personal and therapeutic goals. I primarily work individuals with disrupted attachments related to childhood trauma, and sexual trauma; in addition to PTSD, depression, anxiety, and OCD (specifically related to Relationships, Contamination, Perfectionism, and Health).
Overcoming – Healing – Thriving These three words encompass my goal for each person who walks through my door. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the problem. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside each of my clients, helping them overcome their struggles, heal from their pain, and thrive in their lives. I predominantly work with college aged and adult females experiencing: ● Depression and other mood disorders ● Anxiety ● ADHD ● Low self-esteem ● Conflict and communication ● Family and relationship challenges ● Trauma and grief
