I practice from the framework that our minds and bodies are deeply connected. Exploring how they impact one another is important for our overall health and wellness. It is important for me to practice from a holistic and person-centered space. Everyone I work with will have a different experience. I tailor treatment to meet the needs of the client and families. Most often, I utilize Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, Acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and talk therapy. As well as a host of various techniques to provide you and your family with the best outcome possible. You are the expert of your life. I work to be curious about your experiences and provide new perspectives. I am honored to be a guide on your journey to self-discovery and wellness.
Hi. I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety (including worry, phobias, and OCD), perfectionism, procrastination, life transitions, relationship issues, and LGBTQ+ concerns. I use telehealth and in-office visits. My approach is action oriented – helping you build the skills to take risks and handle discomfort so that you can create the meaningful and satisfying life you want.
Regardless of wherever reading this bio leads you, you are worthy of support. You are worthy of love, connection, joy, and meaning. It takes immense courage to take that first step and begin searching for a therapist. I honor that. Whether or not that is me, I hope you walk away from this page empowered in your search. You deserve it. I have a particular interest working with trauma. I am trained in EMDR for trauma reprocessing. I have worked extensively with individuals who have experienced religious trauma and are leaving high demand faiths or cults. I have also worked with trauma in mothers, LGBTQ+ folks, couples, and those with sexual issues. In the words of Joseph Campbell “the privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.” To reiterate, you are worthy. I’m glad you are here. Life can get better, and I’d be honored to work beside you and determine how we can make it so.

I am skilled in anxiety and stress interventions as well as have a good listening ear. My goal is to have you leaving each session feeling heard and empowered. Sometimes life is hard! I am here to help navigate what feels challenging and join you in finding your path.
Every person can achieve a sense of empowerment and self-assuredness. To achieve that, I strive to make sure my clients feel heard, validated, and valuable. Also, I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths and overcome that which may be holding them back from being their most authentic and fulfilled selves. I feel honored to hear and be entrusted with the words, thoughts, and feelings of those I provide service to, and I do not take that lightly. I value creating a warm and welcoming therapeutic space where you can “let your hair down” and speak freely about your dreams, fears, joys, and obstacles. I believe that kind of empathetic and non-judgmental approach to therapy is essential to developing an alliance between us, collaborating effectively, and ultimately assisting you with achieving your goals. Allow me to meet you where you are at and walk with you to where you want to go.
Coming from a spirit of warmth and optimism, I wholeheartedly believe that change is not only possible, but likely. People are resilient, and through the healing (and a little bit of humor…) that happens in the clinical space, clients can experience the growth they’ve been hoping for. I aim to leave clients with a sense that they are in a partnership with someone who is committed to their wellbeing. Throughout the years, my clients have often so generously shared with me reflections like, “You just get me” and “I feel safe”. They’ve given me the credit when, truly, the work is only possible because they invite me into knowing their wishes, strengths, and challenges. Together, we consider those echoes from the client’s past that sometimes spill into their lives today. Examining those circumstances that clients bravely come to therapy with can allow for deeper joy and peace in their lives. And when exploring those circumstances feels vulnerable, I remind clients, “No judgement here”.
My philosophy on therapy involves a creative, eclectic, and collaborative use of therapeutic styles to best match your specific needs and personality. You are a unique individual, and I am grateful for the opportunity to explore your strengths and support you in developing meaningful skills, resiliency, and lasting change. No matter who you are, where you’re from, or what you’re going through, you deserve to be helped and to be heard!
Whether it's short term therapy to help trauma processing or something more long-term, my priority is to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space to help you overcome challenges. It is possible to transform hurts, traumas, and negative conditioning into healthy new patterns. Becoming aware of and accepting your thoughts and feelings can empower you to live fully in the present moment and create new, healthier ways of coping. My experience includes working with adults experiencing: depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, personality disorders, relationship/family concerns, grief and loss, addiction issues, and many other life transitions. I am trained in and use evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS), and solution-focused therapy
