Immediate Openings. Hi. I’m Sheena (she/her), a mental health counselor licensed in Massachusetts. I work with individual clients via telehealth Monday through Thursday. As a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) myself, I specialize in working with other HSPs (wondering if you might be highly sensitive? Take the self-assessment: https://hsperson.com/test/highly-sensitive-test/). Together, we’ll identify your strengths that you can use to manage the challenges that can come with being highly sensitive (including overwhelm, sensory sensitivities, and irritability). As a member of the queer community, it has been important to me to support LGBTQ+ clients throughout my career. For some clients, their gender identity and sexual orientation is a major part of our work together. For others, it’s reassuring to know they’re working with a supportive, affirming therapist. I am a Certified Body Trust® Provider, meaning I help clients work on their relationship with food and themselves from a weight-inclusive, health-at-every-size stance. Additional areas of focus include anxiety, grief, stress management, self-care, finding your purpose, and relationships. I bring empathy and curiosity into my work as a therapist. I aim to honor the wide spectrum and intersectionality of different cultures, neurotypes, sexuality, and gender of my clients, though there is always more for me to learn. I pull from different modalities to meet your unique needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and internal family systems. I am trauma- and neurodiverse-informed. I believe the answers you seek are within you and I am here as a support and guide on your path toward growth, healing, and wellness. I love to use humor in sessions when appropriate. I take a balanced, gentle approach by supporting you to process how you’re feeling and what you’ve experienced. I also think it’s useful for you to learn skills and take action steps in and between sessions to support the change you’re seeking. I am truly honored to be welcomed into your world.
With experience in managing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety disorders, depression, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral concerns, I believe in the power of a personalized approach to therapy. Every client is unique, and I approach each session with the understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. I draw from an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, strengths-based therapy, play therapy, and motivational interviewing, to tailor the experience to the individual needs of each client. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in your life. Whether you're facing a challenging transition or seeking better emotional regulation, I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey.

Hi, I am a licensed therapist at Sanative Counseling and Wellness Center. I specialize in trauma and related mental health challenges, whether relationship issues or questions, stress, anxiety, depression, or the many other things that can come up. I value helping people recover in their own way and work to collaborate and build a stronger foundation, so that going forward, people have more confidence and capacity to be able to tackle what life throws at them. Welcome! I have experience working with people of all ages who have found themselves faced with anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, life transition and stress, parenting challenges, social and relationship issues, and feeling stuck in general. My approach is highly relational, warm, supportive and sprinkled with humor when appropriate. Our initial sessions will focus on building trust and using collaboration and curiosity as we develop a plan to address your concerns. I firmly believe that we all have inherent resources and strengths within us that can be tapped into to support the process of healing and growth. For the past 17 years I have worked in a variety of settings including trauma-focused outpatient therapy, therapeutic schools, residential, and foster care and adoptions. I use a holistic mind-body approach informed by Attachment Theory, Sensorimotor Therapies, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, DBT, CBT, and Collaborative Problem Solving. The decision to seek the support of therapy for yourself or a loved one is not a light one and at times can feel overwhelming. I have a deep appreciation of the courage it takes to reach out during a time of vulnerability and welcome the chance to speak with you about your needs.
College and young adulthood can be exciting, confusing, stressful, and exhausting — sometimes all at once. I work with students who are dealing with anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, identity exploration, academic pressure, and major life transitions. I aim to create a therapy space that feels genuine, supportive, and judgment-free. You don’t need to have the “right” words or know exactly what’s wrong to begin therapy. Together, we can explore what’s been weighing on you, strengthen coping skills, and help you feel more grounded and connected in your day-to-day life. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs and goals. Therapy is not about being perfect — it’s about having space to be human while learning new ways to care for yourself.
I provide a supportive, trauma-informed space where preteens, teens, young adults, and adults can feel safe exploring their emotions, relationships, and life experiences without judgment. Together, we’ll work to better understand patterns of stress, anxiety, and overwhelm while building practical tools to feel more confident, grounded, and empowered. In my role as a school adjustment counselor, I have experience supporting students and families navigating academic pressure, social challenges, emotional regulation, school avoidance, grief, anxiety, depression and life transitions. Primarily using evidence-based approaches including CBT, trauma informed care and somatic-based interventions. My goal is to help you recognize inner strengths, build resilience, and create a greater sense of safety, balance, and hope for the future. Therapy can be a place to feel heard, understood, and supported while learning new ways to navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

Whatever it is that has brought you here, welcome! I work with folks facing a range of issues, with a specialty in trauma, anxiety, family conflict, LGBTQIA+ identity, and relationship issues. If you experience stress from caring for/about others and our environment, I am ready to support you. I am a climate-aware therapist, meaning I recognize climate grief and eco-anxiety as legitimate responses to a global crisis and important areas of attention in therapy to help you better navigate our changing world. In therapy, I attend to ways in which the ideas, actions and policies in our communities, cultures and families can be sources of both pain and resilience. I am committed to providing queer- and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and I believe in the collaborative exploration of all intersections of identity that feel important to you. My experience informs my work. My career in international humanitarian aid and gender-based violence lends a unique perspective to trauma-informed care. Trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, I bring neuroscience and the mind-body connection into therapy. Our work will explore how the body holds past experiences and how it can help you heal. I also support people in therapeutically integrating psychedelic experiences. I look forward to getting started!
