My approach is to work with you to identify how to make the changes that you are looking to make to have lasting effects in your life. I use a strength based, culturally sensitive approach. I am trained in a variety of evidence based treatment modalities including mindfulness, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma informed treatment. I have worked in a variety of settings throughout my career as a clinical social worker including outpatient community mental health, hospital based social work, emergency services, public health, and substance use prevention and treatment with clients of all ages. Please get in touch if you think we would work well together to help you feel better.
I am a Harvard and Brown University educated board-certified psychiatrist welcoming new patients seeking tailored, patient-centered psychiatric care in Back Bay. I believe in a thoughtful approach to psychiatric treatment and often advocate for psychotherapy before medications. However, if symptoms are severe, I will work with you to find a medication that may help. I strongly encourage open and honest communication throughout the treatment process as I want you to get the best possible treatment which aligns with your preferences and goals. Timely and collaborative psychiatric treatment can be transformative and empower you to live your best life. I welcome the opportunity to help you get there. ---------------------------------------------------- INSURANCE & FEES: Dr. Reddy is an out-of-network physician for all insurance providers and therefore does not work with or bill insurance companies directly. I specialize in treating anxiety/OCD and insomnia disorders. I also frequently work with depression, ADHD, self-esteem issues, social/relationship issues, school and work stressors, and perfectionism. I work with adults and teenagers, and I particularly enjoy helping young adults navigate life transitions (e.g. high school to college/work, career changes, breakups and new relationships). Additionally, I work with many individuals from a variety of backgrounds for whom a significant source of stress is current events and the political climate. I strive to make therapy a place where anyone can feel free to express themselves honestly. I incorporate multiple therapy approaches into our work, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness training. For sleep issues specifically, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), which the American College of Physicians recommends as the first-line treatment for insomnia. I work with many people who felt like they were stuck in previous therapy, and my goal is to make our work as productive and useful for you as possible. I am the mythical therapist who understands gender, trauma, and neurodivergence at the same time. They told you it was impossible, but they were wrong! I’m right here! Instead of teaching you buzzwords and therapyspeak, I can help you build the relational skills to communicate what you feel, want, and need in your own words. I can guide you in exploring identity and building a resilient sense of self. My approach is a fairly eclectic mix of modalities, but always relational and attachment-based. I practice from a neurodiversity lens and am well-versed in understanding and meeting the needs of clients living with autism, ADHD, and other flavors of neurodivergence. I am passionate about helping you better understand your nervous system, to contextualize why you do what you do and figure out what you need. I also know that each person I work with has been shaped not only by their individual history, but by the culture(s) and systems of power that surround them. I see naming and exploring those forces as a liberatory and necessary part of therapy. When I’m not seeing clients, I may be found spending time with friends, hiking or camping, making pottery, hanging out with my dog, reading, playing video games, or crocheting. In terms of social location, I am a white queer transmasculine/genderqueer millennial and have lived experience with neurodivergence.

The best mental health care occurs when the patient's needs are prioritized and deeply integrated into the treatment plan. Whether you're dealing with anxious thoughts, phobias, learning difficulties, physical symptoms tied to mental health, depression, grief, or feeling like a dark cloud is always blocking out your light, help is available. By creating a judgment-free environment that fosters safe and open communication, we’ll work together to carefully assess your or your loved one’s unique situation and develop the most effective care plan. I believe the key to addressing many unwanted feelings and behaviors lies in combining holistic and pharmacological approaches, including modifying one's environment, engaging in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and using medications to address chemical imbalances in the brain. As your provider, I will work diligently to create a personalized medication plan that alleviates your challenges while minimizing tolerable side effects. Additionally, using evidence-based measurement tools, we can track treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments along the way.
