I am a dedicated mental health clinician with a Master’s in Social Work. I specialize in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and am excited to support you on your journey! My specialty lies in working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-focused work. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore and understand yourself better.
Healing begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship and a safe, supportive space where you can explore and practice new skills. While you bring your unique life experiences, I offer compassion, validation, and a range of evidence-based approaches to support you in making the changes needed to live a more balanced, adaptive, and fulfilling life. My background in community mental health includes working with teenagers, young adults, and families. I have experience working with school-age children through adulthood, supporting individuals with trauma histories, mood disorders, anxiety, substance use, and body image concerns. I especially enjoy working with young adults looking to gain more independence and autonomy.
Hey there, I’m Naomi! As a biracial Asian American psychotherapist, I take a holistic and culturally sensitive approach rooted in empathy and respect, blending elements from various therapeutic modalities to tailor a unique and supportive experience, just for you. Are you navigating heavy emotions? Struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, or ASD? Perhaps you're exploring your identity and its links to intergenerational, cultural, or queer-related trauma? Or maybe you often feel misunderstood and want to build effective & intentional communication skills? If you crave internal peace, this neurodivergent-friendly therapist can help!
When painful things happen in our lives, we do our best to cope with it in the moment. That might mean we get really good at “just dealing with it,” and “toughing it out.” Maybe we get really good at “checking out,” or maybe we become super skilled at coming up with clever ways to altogether avoid triggering situations. At one point in time, these skills served you well. And maybe they don’t any longer. Often, underneath these patterns anxiety and depression flood every day, drowning out our resources and making life difficult to enjoy. But changing these patterns and finding new hope can seem like an impossible feat. So often we know something is off because of what we feel in our bodies. Your heart starts pounding, that turning in your stomach, breathing feels tight, maybe you feel disconnected. The key to finding relief is not just about thinking differently. I am a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist and offer body-based techniques for approaching these issues. When we can tune into our bodies as well as our thoughts, we can begin to take control of our lives. I believe that you ultimately know what’s best for your own life. Sometimes it can feel scary to start therapy. What I usually tell my clients is “you’re in the driver’s seat.” I’m the copilot and have a map, and can point things out that maybe you didn’t see from your vantage point. Let’s figure this out together. Call or email for a free consultation.

If this feels like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d love to connect!
I work with adults dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, stress, & executive dysfunction. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques to help you better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges and build on your strengths. I show up as my authentic self & work to create a space where you can feel safe, comfortable, & accepted. You are the expert on your own life, & my role is to support you as we explore what you need to heal, grow, & move forward.
My goal is to empower you to develop healthy relationships, overcome personal challenges and to identify and heal conflicts / wounds so that you become the most robust version of you possible. I partner with individuals offering compassionate, trauma-informed care that promotes healing and personal growth. Partnering as a relational helper, I hope to expand from problem-focused stories to those of strength and resilience, matched with empowerment and a clearer sense of agency, working together to create the desired changes. I have experience working with individuals, from diverse backgrounds. My areas of work have included but are not limited to struggles around anxiety, depression, identity concerns, self-esteem issues, trauma, life transitions, relational issues, and daily stressors. I use an eclectic approach, drawing from various practices such as relational therapy, narrative therapy, client-centered therapy, attachment theory, some features of dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic framework, and I approach therapy through a mindfulness, justice-orientated, culturally sensitive, queer-affirmative and a trauma informed lens. I believe in a relational process in which finding a therapist that is a "good fit" as the groundwork for a supportive, transformative process. I believe that every individual can examine their life's journey and own their story; all while strengthening self-compassion and working to navigate who and how to be in relationships. Stepping into the therapeutic process is the first movement towards self-discovery and growth! "Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do" -Brene' Brown
