Therapists for college students near Boston College
Hi there! I’m Eric, and I provide therapy online (by video) to clients located anywhere in Massachusetts. I have immediate openings, and offer a free 15-minute video consultation so that we can meet each other and make sure it seems like a fit as far as what you’re looking for and what I offer. I often work with college students seeking support around depression, anxiety, isolation, trauma, and a variety of life stressors and transitions. My specialties include bereavement/grief, substance use, LGBTQ+ identity, people who have experienced domestic violence, impacts of oppression, and musicians facing performance-related anxiety. Additionally, I offer assessments and letter writing for people in need of a letter of support from a mental health professional for gender-affirming surgeries. I deeply believe that your perspectives and experiences matter, and I see you as the expert on your own life. Therapy is an opportunity for us to collaboratively explore what is important to you. Working together, we can draw on your values, preferences, knowledge, skills, and hopes in discussing how to navigate challenges in your life. My warmth, respect, curiosity, and patience help create a supportive environment for these conversations. I have a strong belief in the importance of social justice and equality, and strive to make therapy a comfortable and inclusive place for all clients.
I help clients impacted by anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship concerns, sexual intimacy concerns, and identity-based stress. Together, we’ll explore how your various identities and lived experiences influence the way you navigate life and relationships. You will better understand yourself and develop the necessary skills to confidently face everyday challenges. I’m here to support you by recognizing and valuing all parts of who you are. My therapeutic approach is trauma-attuned, psychodynamic, relational, and social justice-oriented. I enjoy helping transgender and gender diverse clients explore their identity and experience more connection. I support clients seeking gender-affirming treatments/surgeries by collaborating with their medical providers. I also welcome folks from other diverse communities, including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, neurodiverse, and other underrepresented identities. Reaching out for support isn’t easy, especially if therapy hasn’t always felt made for you. I aim to offer a space where your full identity is welcomed and your voice has room to grow. Visit my website or get in touch with questions. I’d be glad to explore whether we’re a good fit. I provide therapy through Intersect Clinical Services, a preferred provider for Boston-area students. We accept UHC StudentResources and Aetna Student Health with minimal or no out-of-pocket costs.

Life's challenges can leave us feeling off-balance. As a therapist, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect and begin to reconnect with yourself as you navigate anxiety, burnout and life transitions. I work closely with individuals from early to late adulthood. These experiences can bring pride but also anxiety, perfectionism, burnout and a sense of disconnection or uncertainty about where you’re headed. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, career uncertainty, relationship challenges or major life transitions, including midlife and aging-related changes such as shifting roles, identity questions and reassessing priorities over time. My approach is collaborative, transparent and grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. I draw from CBT, mindfulness and insight-oriented frameworks always tailoring therapy to your unique experiences and goals. I aim to help you develop practical strategies while also deepening your self-understanding so that change feels meaningful and sustainable. At Equilibria Counseling, we strive to create a space where you can show up as you are.
