Hi, I’m Eva, a licensed mental health counselor and owner of Rooted Behavioral Health & Wellness in Massachusetts. Dr. Brieger is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist based in Boston, MA. She is passionate about getting to know her patients’ unique backgrounds and working together to develop plans that are both evidence-based and practical. Her clinical interests include adolescents, young adults, and women’s mental health, as well as mood, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Dr. Brieger offers medication management, psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and combined medication management and therapy. She received her MD and PhD from the University of Michigan Medical School and School of Public Health before completing residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School. Currently, she is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Starting college can be an exciting time, opening so many new doors in terms of defining one’s identity and sense of purpose in life, as well as establishing a network of meaningful friendships. It however also involves letting go of one’s reliance on family and friends and engaging many new options which can be quite overwhelming. So many students start to experience anxiety or depression and begin to struggle with relationship or career concerns. I really enjoy working with college students during this complicated but promising period of their life, and helping them navigate the pitfalls and create an enriching experience for themselves.
