Therapists for college students near 02155
College can be an overwhelming time, and together we can address issues that are affecting your academics, social life, and personal experiences. My clients are often navigating anxiety, panic attacks, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or chronic illness. I have extensive experience with LGBTQ+ folks. Some issues include persistent anxiety or panic attacks, depression affecting motivation, and mood instability. I provide a safe, affirming space, coping strategies for stress, and support in embracing identity. We can address goals of greater emotional stability, self-acceptance, building resilience and connections, and balancing academic work with personal challenges.
Welcome! I know that choosing a therapist is a difficult task and that embarking in a therapeutic treatment requires a lot of courage. I am certain that the warm, and nonjudgmental environment that I provide will help you feel safe and supported as you explore the problems that interfere with the way that you want to live your life. I am pleased that you have enough self-awareness to realize that you need to act now. I am a licensed psychologist with broad therapeutic interests: issues related to parenting, migration, intimate relationship, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and low self-esteem. I have over twenty years of experience helping clients better understand themselves, reduce their suffering, and increase their capacity for joyful living. Successful therapy depends on a good fit between therapist and client; it's precisely the quality of the collaborative therapeutic relationship that is central to healing. Your concerns don't have to be severe to justify making the first call.
Welcome to Clearview Horizons! We are an OCD/anxiety group specialty practice. There are many ways that anxiety shows up for people. The following are some common examples: perfectionism, social anxiety, body dysmorphia, health anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, trichotillomania, and hoarding. Exposure and ritual prevention is an integral aspect of our therapy. Exposures help clients change their relationship with OCD/anxiety from a fear-based perspective to a place of positive change and empowerment. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) complement the Exposure work. We offer individual therapy and also have a biweekly Adult OCD Support Group. If you have any questions and/or if you are interested in starting therapy, please contact Kim Leonte, the Director of Clearview Horizons, at: kimberly.glazier.leonte@cvhorizons.com
Balance in life can only be achieved when we start taking care of both our mental and physical health. I take an integrative approach to address clients' cognitive, emotional and physical needs. Whether that is challenging your anxious/ negative thoughts, changing disruptive relationship patterns, avoiding work burnout or taking steps towards better nutrition and physical routines, we will address the whole you each session. I have worked in the therapy field for ten years and have experience treating a variety of conditions including; anxiety, depression, life- transitions and trauma responses. I often see the medical field project a false advertisement that we can all be “fixed”. This can create a cycle of shame and discouragement when we try over and over again to find quick solutions for ourselves. I strive to challenge those inner critics and push my clients towards finding their true selves; living with self compassion and confidence. Please send an email to coordinate an initial free exploratory call. I will assess if myself or another clinician at Balanced Therapy Approach is a good fit for your current needs.
Your voice and perspective as a woman or girl are celebrated here. This is a dedicated space where you can be comfortable discussing female centered topics and experiences. I believe that social interactions, societal stresses and unique biology impact girls and women in ways that require a female centered lens for mental health treatment. Coming to therapy knowing this is a specialized practice can lead to greater comfort exploring trauma and female specific issues. These deeper conversations build the therapeutic alliance and increase the potential that women and girls will see improvement in their mental health symptoms

Every person is the expert in their own lives and and experiences and I see my role as supporting people to direct themselves in the path they best see fit. Sometimes things like anxiety, depression, body image issues, and interpersonal conflicts can make it difficult to really stay connected to who you are and achieve what you want to achieve. I work with a lot of college age students, young adults, and adults who are looking to find their way while managing significant stressors. I show up for my clients with curiosity, authenticity, compassion, and humor in order to help them feel empowered to make the shifts in their thinking or behavior that they want. My name is Kristina and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker located in the Greater Boston area. My approach is to be authentic, non-traditional and meet clients where they are in their journey. I am specially skilled in a harm reduction framework and provide therapy without judgement. I also use an equity-focused lens and bring social justice into my whole-person approach. My flow is to allow the client to drive the sessions and encourage them to come with whatever version of themselves that they see fit. I have several years of experience working as a therapist in a community health center, working on an addiction team, primary care teams and providing group therapy. My group work experience has been running creative coping (art-based skills) groups, women’s groups and addiction/recovery groups. Most of my clinical work has consisted working with those with a history of chronic homelessness, individuals with prolonged institutional care histories, poly-substance use and severe mental health complexities. These experiences have led me to believe that therapy needs to be decolonized and more authentic to the client and therapist. If you think this ideology is a good match for you, feel free to reach out to inquire about services.
Hello, it is great to meet you! My name is Margaret, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I began my career as a high school teacher before receiving my Master's in Social Work, and I particularly enjoy working with adolescents and young adults in their college years. In addition to private practice work, I have spent many years working with schools and supporting adolescents, parents, and educators. I feel passionate about helping others through difficult transition periods in their lives with grounding, understanding, and tools to deal with challenges in a healthy and meaningful way. I like to collaborate with students to develop tools to manage stress or difficult life transitions, alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression, or prioritize self-care. I work hard to partner with students to develop the support they need to feel more empowered and joyful and have a deeper connection to themselves and those they care about.
