I have worked with clientele from all different backgrounds, cultures, and ages in spectrums such as domestic violence victims/survivors, sexual assault, homicide, substance abuse, and integrating those who have been incarcerated back into the community for over 6 years. Hello! I’m a trauma-informed psychodynamic therapist with clinical experience covering a wide range of issues in adolescence and adulthood. I am well-versed in working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma recovery/PTSD, grief, relationship and communication issues, intimate partner violence, out-of-control behaviors, problematic substance use, and school/work stress. I will support you in finding deeper feelings of fulfillment, ease, self-alignment, and possibility in your life. I work primarily with college students and people in the years after they leave or graduate college. Changes in social life, feeling a part of something bigger or not, family dynamics, and/or figuring out work can be tough on top of whatever you were already dealing with. The political moment brings feelings of despair, rage, and loneliness. People I work with are deeply affected. You don’t have to figure everything out alone. I work well with individuals of all backgrounds. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and with years of experience in non-monogamous relationship structures, I work with many queer and trans people and people in non-monogamous relationships. I deeply respect the unique lives of the individuals I work with, and I love to witness their progress toward their goals. My therapy approach is psychodynamic - grounded in the understanding that past experiences influence us consciously and unconsciously. I use a strengths-based, whole-person perspective, and I also offer skills and tools using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) depending on your goals for therapy. I work alongside you in a process of exploration and meaning making. You can expect me to be warm, humorous, genuine, and straight-forward. I would love to hear from you.

I consider the relationship between client and therapist one of the most important factors in therapy. As a therapist, my goal is to create a comfortable, non-judgmental space so I can assist others in exploring negative patterns in their lives and help them develop new tools to foster positive coping skills. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy, with special focus on the body and mind and how they interact. As a registered yoga teacher, my treatment approach places emphasis on turning inward and reconnecting with the body to help release stored emotions. I use a trauma-informed approach to life issues with clients and incorporate mindfulness skills, somatic movement, and breathwork into my therapy practice. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, PTSD, and mood disorders. Additionally, I work with clients who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, addiction, caregiver stress, interpersonal/relationship problems, and codependency.
I've been working with young adults for the better part of the last decade within the context of their homes, schools, communities and families. I have also been supervising young adults as well as older adults in juggling school work and family with their career ambitions. Fostering growth for these folks, including in many marginalized communities is, to me, an incredibly important part of building lives worth living, and growing the strength of our communities. As a white cis-gendered queer therapist I have done my own work on my identity that has allowed me to see and show up for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks, as well as supporting other white folks in this work. My practice is rooted in anti-racism, anti-oppression, and health equity. Our mental health is not only our individual biologies and brains, we are shaped by the systems we exist within and this has a direct correlation to our physical well being as well. What you need in therapy may or may not relate to issues of oppression, and it is important for those for whom this is relevant to know there is a space to been seen and acknowledged for the ways this impacts your life. Growth and transitions can be incredible, and also very stressful. If anything you've read here or seen in my profile resonates. I would encourage you to reach out to see if we would be a good fit for the support you are seeking.
