Therapists for college students near 46202
College is awesome, but it can be really tough, too. Juggling school with the rest of your life--work, family, friends, relationships--can take a toll on your mental health. Anxiety, stress, depression, and even suicidal thoughts are not uncommon, but you don't have to navigate them alone. My internship was at IUPUI CAPS, and I have lots of experience as an advisor and adjunct professor, so I know better than most how stressful college can be. I'd love to help you turn down the volume in your mind and move toward the life you want.
At ThrivePointe, we promise remarkable connection and clear direction. Counseling that has connection and direction has proven to change lives, restore relationships, and help clients achieve their personal goals. Once you find a therapist, get ready to work! We don’t do “talk therapy”. We build relationships. And, we do what works (it’s called evidence-based practice) to help you thrive. Bring your whole self and a willingness to be an active participant in the process and we will too. Together, we’ll set goals and create a plan to help you become your fullest self. We look forward to working with you!
I work with individuals across a wide range of ages and backgrounds. I enjoy supporting teens and young adults and also have previous experience working with populations who struggle with autism spectrum disorder and other cognitive delay. I am very passionate about helping to navigate identity development, life transitions, mood and personality-related challenges, as well as healing from past trauma to evolve into your ideal self. I want to help build a strong sense of self and emotional awareness while also growing more confident and self-assured in the ever-changing world that we live in. My practice blends a multitude of evidence-based practices and mindfulness strategies to help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns from a place of curiosity and growth, not judgment and shame. My approach is person-centered and focused on helping you evolve into the person you are most proud to be. If you’re ready to begin your journey toward becoming the version of yourself you feel most connected to, I would be honored to walk alongside you. I invite you to schedule a session and take the next step towards a life that feels aligned, peaceful, and yours.

Most people come to counseling either feeling stuck in their present situation or in significant emotional pain. Our ambition is to help you resolve or learn ways to better manage your concern(s) in a safe and experiential environment. Our clinical orientation is one that focuses on the awareness thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships, and how these impact the distress a person is experiencing. It would be a great privilege to join you during this time in your life. Be confident that your therapeutic work is of great value to us, and it is our mission to support you in a nonjudgmental, culturally-sensitive, and caring manner.
Have you experienced therapy in the past but maybe felt like the experience was too stuffy? Do you worry about judgement in the therapist’s office and find yourself filtering what you share? I know this reality is true for many people and my goal is to provide you with a new way of experiencing therapy. I have worked in all levels of care and I truly believe in a warm, holistic, and genuine approach to therapy. There is space for processing, crying, laughing, and anything else you need! I will utilize both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) throughout our work together to set a framework and present some level of psychoeducation. While the development of coping skills and understanding our thoughts and patterns to deal with distress and aid in emotion regulation will be important to our work together, my ultimate goal in therapy is to be flexible and holistic in my approach, working alongside you collaboratively to make powerful change towards the life that you envision. I honor that you are the expert of your own life, and as a therapist I am present to help process, empower, and seek joy. I understand college is one of the most stressful times in life, and having a trusted therapist to help during this transition can make the world of difference. I have been in your shoes and would love to be your partner in experiencing this difficult but rewarding and transformative time in life.

Hello! My name is Rachael Trimbur and I am here with you on your treatment journey however that may look. I take a very trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. I am trained in EMDR and have been using this approach for two years. I am a licensed clinical addictions counselor and a licensed clinical social worker with more than 10 years of experience working in the dual diagnosis field. I began my career working with substance use disorders and have a lot of experience in this area. I am also a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and complete substance abuse evaluations. My experience includes working for community mental health centers, doing crisis work, working in an employee assisted treatment program, and program development for a substance use and medication-assisted treatment facility. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and stay up to date on evidenced-based treatment approaches. I understand that one size does not fit all and pull from various modalities to help those I work with meet their goals. The most important thing I have learned over the years is to learn from those I work with. I take a very person-centered approach. As Stephen Covey wrote, “Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”
Stress, anxiety, and depression can consume us in unimaginable ways. Throw in the complexities of navigating important relationships, and whoa, can life seem overwhelming. As humans, we are all equipped with unique strengths to help us get through the various stressors life presents. I would like to help you learn to hone in on the innate strengths and values that make you who you are and how to apply them to your daily life. My goal in working with you is to ensure a compassionate and non-biased therapeutic setting where you feel safe and comfortable being yourself. Seeking out help is not always an easy thing to do. Im glad you are here. My approach is somewhat eclectic and bioindividual. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy methods in tandem with solution-focused, person-centered, and mindfulness types of modalities. I typically work with adults and young adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, ADHD, depression, perfectionism, relationship issues, trauma, and general stress. Feel free to reach out anytime by phone or email. Please leave a voice message if you call and I do not answer, and I will be sure to respond as soon as I can.
Morgan is a compassionate and skilled therapist with multiple years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. Before becoming a therapist, she spent 2–3 years as a social worker, providing support and advocacy for diverse communities. She currently offers individual therapy to clients age 13-35. Morgan tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her clients, integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other somatic-informed techniques to support healing from anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress. She specializes in working with teens, young adults, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals facing major life transitions. With a deep understanding of how emotions manifest in the body, Morgan helps clients develop skills to manage distress, regulate emotions, and process past experiences. Whether working through trauma responses or coping with life’s uncertainties, she provides a supportive space for clients to explore, heal, and grow. Morgan believes that anyone is able to heal when they have the proper space with support, understanding, and empowerment.
