Do you struggle with just being yourself these days? Well, kick off your shoes, relax, put up your feet, let's get real and talk. Many people see therapy as a never ending cycle of therapists sitting with a notepad repeating, "How does that make you feel?". I can assure therapy with me is never a cliche. Others you want to burst into tears or moments you feel like you're making all the wrong choices. I can understand if you need a break and want to scream. I'm here to help. Let's explore those issues you may be struggling with together and take back control of your life.

This has been a tough time since March 2020, everything in our life changed and we experienced a universal crisis together. Simultaneously, people report issues or repressed traumas were shaken out and uncovered and demanded tending. Individuals I have seen throughout the crisis report the pandemic has been a blessing as well as a curse having grown tremendously throughout this stress. if you are willing to work on what was below the surface and really understand what is creating the chaos and anxiety in your life-long before the pandemic, I am honored to walk with you and aid you on or towards your path of personal growth and make significant changes creating serenity and improved well-being. As a therapist and teacher with over 15 years’ experience, I have the confidence to walk with you. My hope is you may tap into your wise mind, leading to extraordinary results. I am licensed in Georgia and Oregon. I work with adults and teens with anxiety and depression. I offer traditional up to date counseling techniques; CBT and DBT and creative modalities.
I love working with people who think they may have lost the plot. Who wonder if their symptoms may be a natural reaction to our society and our utter disconnection....from everything. I see you, and I get it. I think there is more to a life well-lived than mainstream notions of success. Come explore your life through values exploration and honest self-assessment, whether short or long-term. Welcoming and affirming for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC. I have an eclectic approach, which is a fancy way of saying that I don't rely on any one way of approaching curiosities. But my starting point is always from a place of your strengths, the things you are doing well, and your unique interests/wants/needs. I trend toward elements from Acceptance and Commitment, Positive Psychology, Existentialism, Brief Solution- Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation, Radical Acceptance, and Mindfulness. I am progressive in my politics, non-religious, and I believe that cursing is a valid form of self-expression. Humor is a big part of how I communicate and I believe it can get us through a lot of things. Despite being a middle-aged white woman who grew up in the south, you will find no bigoted mindset here. I will never pretend to understand the totality of your experience, but I do promise to see you, hear you, and respect you, while being mindful of the systemic, familial, and cultural issues that may be impacting you. I have stopped taking insurance because of all the barriers it creates from its medical model of viewing functionality and need. I know this creates a financial barrier for some, but I believe that until the system changes, its more of a detriment overall. But lets check those out-of-network benefits and see what we can squeeze out of the insurance company for you :)
I help women move through anxiety, stress, self-doubt, and life transitions with clarity and confidence. Whether you’re navigating career shifts, relationship changes, or simply feel disconnected from who you are, therapy can help you realign with your values, rebuild your self-trust, and reclaim your sense of direction. In my work together, we’ll identify what’s keeping you stuck—self- criticism, perfectionism, unresolved grief, or limiting beliefs—and transform those barriers into breakthrough moments. I’ll support you in using your natural strengths to problem-solve, build self-awareness, and take intentional steps toward a life that feels aligned and fulfilling. As an introvert and a therapist, I deeply understand the internal worlds many women carry quietly—feeling like you always have to “hold it together” even when you’re unraveling inside. This space is designed for you to safely unpack, reflect, and rebuild without judgment. Let’s work together to shift from self-doubt to self-assurance. You deserve to feel grounded, whole, and seen.

My name is Miz and I am therapist at Boss Babe Counseling specializing in substance use, trauma, relationship concerns, anxiety, and more. It is my belief that we all have the ability to create the lives that are most fulfilling to us. This can feel untrue in an ever changing and unpredictable world. Sometimes we need support to do this. Needing support is a natural part of the human experience, and you should be proud that you are listening to yourself! We will work towards specific desired goals that you identify in session and take things at your pace. My hope with all clients I work with is that through our time together, we can reshape how you navigate through moments of hardship, build a healthier relationship with all parts of yourself, and increase the joy you experience in your life.
Live and Thrive Counseling is my private practice in the community of Carrollton, Georgia. My office is close to the downtown area, but given the covid-19 changes in our daily living practices, my sessions are now fully online. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults that are struggling with depression, anxiety, poor body image, life transitions, self esteem issues, and trauma. As a registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 200) and a licensed professional counselor, I enjoy using the cognitive behavioral modality, given its heavy emphasis on mindfulness and cognitive restructuring. In addition to CBT concepts, sessions often include breathing exercises and relaxation strategy practice that the client can eventually learn to practice on his or her own to promote positive self care and healthy coping skills.
Hi! My name is Rachel Devery and I work with students who struggle with OCD, general anxiety, social anxiety, performance anxiety, and trauma/PTSD. Often anxieties and trauma leads to feeling stuck, hopeless or beyond repair. We can work together to build hope and find peace. The healing journey can be scary, and you are taking some brave steps forward. I know that healing is possible and you do not have to be stuck forever. It would be my honor to work alongside you in this journey to find healing and wholeness. We will work together to reach your goals and face fears. Every person heals differently, and I use a variety of techniques from evidenced-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy.
Hi! I am Kaye Davis and I am a Licensed professional counselor in the heart of the classic city of Athens, GA. I have years of experience working with those individuals who are attending school, graduating, or even staff members that struggle with mental health stress. I believe you all are the experts on your life, and I am here to just walk alongside of you as you navigate this thing we call life. I have years of experience as a Collegiate basketball coach and also former athlete myself at Berry College in Rome, GA. I have a different quirky style of therapy, but at the end of the day, my number one goal is to provide you the ability to talk and explore areas that are strengths but also while looking at growth opportunities. I believe thru open honest communication things can be worked out where we can find a therapist will work that will be a connection that is helpful and meaningful. How about you take the step for yourself and find relief.

I strongly believe that a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental environment is a place that fosters acceptance and growth. You may find yourself faced with life challenges that feel almost impossible to handle, and the need to have your thoughts and concerns heard and validated. I will walk with you on your journey to self-discovery and self-compassion, as well as provide you with the opportunity to find and apply your strengths to your daily life.
