A little bit on my theoretical approach. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy by applying a combination of therapeutic strategies to fit the individualized needs of my clients. I specialize in the use of, but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Psychodynamic Theory with a Solution Focused & Person-Centered Approach. I specialize in anxiety, depression, personality disorders, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, grief, trauma, post-natal trauma, relationship conflict & familial conflict, etc. I have experience providing individual counseling (child & adult), group counseling, couples therapy & family counseling in outpatient, inpatient & community based settings. I have worked in various fields of mental health namely applied behavioral analysis, developmental disabilities, OPWDD, DBHDD, case management, community intervention, crisis intervention, evidenced based practice & private practice. Healing does not have to look magical or pretty. Real healing is hard, exhausting and draining. The best part about being in therapy is that you do not have to do it alone. The work begins when you leave my office. With my support, I strive for my clients to independently utilize healthy coping skills learned in sessions to apply upon daily interaction with others & themselves. I aim to provide effective treatment to clients while exploring the underlying causes of each client’s mental health concerns. With a modern holistic approach to therapy over time, we can break the mental health stigma in our society.
College can look exciting on the outside — but behind the scenes, many students feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure they’re keeping up. You may be juggling classes, pressure to succeed, shifting friendships, family expectations, and big decisions about your future — all while trying to hold it together on the outside. If you feel anxious, overwhelmed, unmotivated, or unsure of yourself, you’re not the only one. I work with students who care about doing well but feel burned out from trying to keep up. Many struggle with anxiety, procrastination, trouble focusing, low confidence, perfectionism, or feeling like they don’t quite fit in. Others feel stuck after a setback, unsure about their direction, or overwhelmed by the independence and responsibility that come with college life. Together, we will focus on understanding what’s driving the stress and building practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control. We might work on managing anxiety, improving focus and organization, navigating relationships, strengthening confidence, and creating a healthier balance between achievement and well-being. I offer a supportive, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can be real about what you’re going through and feel understood. My goal is to help you make college feel more manageable and to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of who you are.

Pain shows up in many forms — in your body, your emotions, and your closest relationships — and none of it is simple. I work with chronic pain, addiction, relationship strain, and the experience of feeling disconnected from self and others. My approach isn’t about merely eliminating these challenges, but about supporting you as a whole person living with them. Together, through individual, couples, or family therapy, we explore the patterns and meanings behind what you’ve carried, creating space for relief, deeper connection, and a more grounded way of moving through your life.
As a therapist, I work with depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions. Having particular insight into dysfunctional family systems, I offer compassionate support for those navigating complex family-of-origin experiences. At the heart of my practice is the belief that everyone possesses the capacity to heal and grow. I create a therapeutic environment characterized by compassion and curiosity, providing a safe space for clients to explore experiences, discover strengths, and move toward meaningful change. I specialize in working with clients who want to heal from the experience of growing up in addicted or dysfunctional family systems. By examining childhood trauma and generational patterns, we will work to foster the emotional growth, improved relationships, and freedom from codependency that emerge when we rediscover our authentic selves and live in alignment with our personal integrity. I also worked in student affairs/higher education administration for 13 years and have extensive experience supporting young adults through the various challenges of adjusting to, navigating, and transitioning to life after college and graduate school.
I view the soul as your mind, will, and emotions—the essence of who you are. Trauma can leave wounds that shape your view of yourself and the world, leaving fractures in your soul. Healing to me is not about ‘fixing,’ but about meeting yourself with compassion, understanding the protective patterns that once kept you safe, and reconnecting with the authentic self beneath them. I believe that every person carries an innate capacity for healing, even when pain and shame feel overwhelming. I trust that our wounds, when met with love and grace, can become openings to deeper wisdom, resilience, and growth. I also believe that healing is not a linear path—it unfolds gently, at your own pace, when safety and compassion are present. My work is rooted in the belief that wholeness is possible. "Grace softens the pain, love holds the wound, and compassion leads the healing.” The approaches I use are grounded in years of experience walking alongside survivors of trauma. Together, we’ll work with tools that go beyond surface-level coping and actually reach the root of what’s happening in your body and brain. Through Brainspotting, we can access and release the deep, unprocessed experiences that often drive anxiety and overwhelm. With trauma-informed DBT skills, you’ll learn practical ways to manage emotions, reduce shame, and build resilience. Using somatic approaches, we’ll gently reconnect with your body’s wisdom so that you feel more grounded and safe in your own skin. All of this work is held within a compassion-centered framework—because healing isn’t about fixing what’s ‘broken,’ it’s about meeting yourself with kindness and learning to trust your own inner strength. My goal is for you to leave therapy with tools you can carry with you anywhere—simple, effective practices that help calm your body, quiet your mind, and create space for peace.
