Welcome! My name is Christie Morgan and I am a relational trauma therapist in Boulder, CO. I am passionate about helping couples and individuals experience personal and relational healing. Has your life been impacted by trauma and you feel like there is no one who can understand you? You may feel as if you are in survival mode and no longer know who the true you is. Or perhaps you feel alone in your relationship and wonder if you can ever restore the connection you once had. However you arrived here, you are welcome here. My goal is to create a safe space for you to heal as you experience feeling seen and known. I often begin with offering clients tools for navigating the difficult waters they are facing. Before entering into the deep healing work, I make sure that you feel stable and equipped to navigate the healing process. Together, we will rework the negative and shaming messages that hold you down and isolate you, so that you can love yourself amidst your imperfections and live life more fully. I empower my clients to discover wholeness through evidence-based modalities such as IFS (Internal Family Systems), Attachment theory, EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy), and mind-body connection through a trauma informed lens. I believe that access to mental health should be a human right. We all deserve someone who can listen to us and help us navigate the difficult seasons of our lives. My goal is to be a safe person in my clients' lives. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and am passionate about creating safe spaces of belonging for clients in this community. A core part of my work as a therapist, who is passionate about social justice, is creating a kinder, safer, and more just world. This begins with people feeling safe and at home with themselves. My desire is that in fostering a safe space for clients to heal their trauma, they will become catalysts for healing as they, too, foster safe spaces within their families and communities. I am currently offering online and nature-based therapy sessions.

Treatment program
Lafayette, CO

ORCA Recovery partners with families and young adults to navigate the path from crisis to stability — and from stability to long-term thriving. We specialize in intervention planning, case management, and recovery navigation for individuals struggling with substance use, mental health concerns, and process addictions. Our work begins with families. We help them slow down, organize the chaos, and create a thoughtful plan to get their loved one to the right level of care. When treatment is needed, we coordinate the process from start to finish — identifying the best-fit program (whether within our trusted network or elsewhere), preparing the family, aligning expectations, and supporting the transition into care. If hesitation or resistance shows up, our experienced interventionists work directly with the family to increase readiness and reduce the risk of failed attempts. But our work does not stop at admission. We remain engaged throughout the treatment process and beyond — supporting communication between providers and families, reinforcing clinical recommendations, and helping translate progress into real-world change. We believe outcomes improve when families are informed, aligned, and actively involved in recovery. On our Thriving Campus, ORCA serves as a bridge between higher levels of care and sustainable independence. We provide structured oversight, accountability, and family coaching while empowering young adults to build life skills, purpose, and community. Our philosophy is simple: Recovery works best when it is collaborative, intentional, and sustained over time. At ORCA, we do more than help people get to treatment — we help families and individuals build a foundation that lasts.ORCA Recovery partners with families and young adults to navigate the path from crisis to stability — and from stability to long-term thriving. Pamela French Newman (she/her/hers), graduated in May 2022 with a Masters Degree from Naropa University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the Somatic Counseling Program with a concentration in Body Psychotherapy. Pamela’s approach to counseling is strength-based, humanistic, relational, and mind/body-centered. She focuses on working with the nervous system as a way to work towards emotional regulation. Before coming to Naropa she spent five years teaching yin, restorative, and trauma informed yoga in the Boston area. Through her own personal practice as well as teaching yoga, her curiosity around the healing powers of the mind-body connection grew. Her first hand awareness of the mind-body connection as a therapeutic tool led her to find Somatic Counseling which is a form of psychotherapy that values this connection.

I provide a safe space in therapy for you to show up fully, just as you are. I support you in creating space to dismantle the various known and unknown obstacles blocking you from embodying your TRUE self. I believe you already have what it takes to heal and thrive, but you just need the right environment and community support to unravel and relearn. I have recently expanded to supporting adults who are seeking healing by means of EMDR & Internal Family Systems (IFS). Since 2012, I have primarily served children and their families in their homes and schools, assisting in child behavior, developmental disabilities, and early childhood trauma. I have experience working with first-time parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, teen parents, and foster/adoptive families. I also uses art therapy, sand tray therapy, wilderness therapy, play therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy in my practice. In my free time, I loves to engage in her local community of the North Fork Valley located in Paonia, CO on the Western Slope. Over the last decade, I have dedicated volunteer hours at the Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy Center educating youth in prevention, as a National Forest winter & summer ranger, and as a Search & Rescue member. Since 2017, I have been actively educating myself and others in racial justice education and is committed to further developing my own understanding of internal-racial bias and translating this into advocacy work. Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Boulder, CO

I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults for the past 20 years. My therapeutic style can be described as interactive, empathetic, nonjudgmental and gently challenging. I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is essential to positive, healthy change. It is often the relationship with a supportive and skilled therapist that allows people to talk about and explore issues/struggles that feel too difficult to explore on their own. Because therapy is such a unique and personal journey, therapy is centered on you and your unique needs as we work together to build on your strengths, focus on solutions and develop new skills and insights, to help you achieve the personal growth you are seeking.
