Therapists for college students near Denver, CO
I work with young women and LGBTQ+ folks with anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. You set goals for yourself that aren’t reachable, and you feel like you’re failing, though from the outside it may look like you have it together. You know that the patterns in your life aren’t working, yet it’s hard to identify what to change and make those changes on your own. It’s a big step to even recognize that you might benefit from therapy. Therapy can help you make those changes so that you can relate differently to yourself, your loved ones, and the stress & loss in your life. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Together, we can untangle old narratives, identify the things that aren’t working in your life, and develop new coping methods that work for you. Therapy depends on us developing a safe relationship from which we can explore your feelings and concerns. In our therapy sessions, you can expect compassion as well as a focus on practical skills on how to relate differently to the stress and loss in your life. I prioritize developing a safe relationship between the two of us in therapy, from which we discuss your relationships with yourself and with others. My practice is antiracist, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and HAES informed. I have immediate openings for teletherapy and in-person therapy. In addition to my regular hours (8am-5pm), I can offer evening appointments upon request. You can schedule a free 15-minute video consultation at my website, sierralarsontherapy.com.

What might it be like to live a life where you are present, calm, and don’t feel pulled in a million different directions every single day? I believe, together, we can help build this life you imagine. I specialize in working with adults who struggle with anxiety, stress, and life transitions. Maybe you’ve dealt with stress and anxiety for as long as you can remember, or maybe it is something that has stemmed from a specific situation that recently occurred. Either way, I am here to support you and empower you to be able to better manage these concerns.
Much of my work focuses on removing emotional and psychological barriers that keep people from expressing and enjoying who they truly are. Expect to discover or remember aspects of yourself that thrive in authentic relationships and meaningful pursuits.
Starting college is a major life transition that can be exciting, but also challenging and overwhelming. Adjusting to new routines, increased academic demands, and changing social circles is difficult for many students. Nearly 76% of college students report experiencing moderate to severe stress or distress, with anxiety, loneliness, and depression being especially common during this stage of life. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or isolated, therapy offers a supportive space to process tough emotions and big changes. Together, we can develop coping strategies that build resilience and self-compassion, helping you navigate these challenges and rediscover your inner strengths. Change is hard, but you don’t have to figure it out alone!
The integration of wealth and wellness is my passion. Currently accepting both virtual and in-person clients - Hi there! My name is Lindsey. I primarily come from an attachment-based, relational approach, where what matters most is genuine, authentic connection. A story well told is my favorite piece of the human experience. We all have stories full of what happens to us that is outside of our control as well as how we respond to these experiences that is within our control. As your therapist, my hope is to empower you to become the author of your own story and provide you with the support, guidance, and resources you need to pick up the pen and decide where you're going next. I particularly specialize in: ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders. I also work with those struggling with their relationships and/or challenges coming up in life (including but not limited to: school, work, navigating 20s and/or 30s, interpersonal struggles, dating, family dynamics, life stressors, identity development, and values work). I find it to truly be an honor and privilege to be right beside you as you navigate whatever challenges life throws at you. Reaching out for support can be a difficult step, and you are brave for how far you've already come. Feel free to send me a message on here or schedule your own phone consult on my website!

Keely works well with a wide array of clients and therapeutic issues. She sees adolescents and adults (age 14+). She is a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and welcomes all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, expression, gender, and lifestyle. Her approach to therapy is client-centered. She listens carefully and speaks the language of each client she works with to create a meaningful and personal experience in therapy. It is important to her to build a strong therapeutic alliance with each of her clients. She draws upon several types of therapy in her work. Her integrative approach includes CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based therapy, relaxation training, and Solution-Focused therapies. She is trained and certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is a type of therapy that helps people move past trauma and stop feeling so stuck. It is effective with trauma as well as general adverse life events, depression, and problems with self concept. This is a powerful method of therapy that can provide rapid results and healing in a short amount of time (1-5 sessions). Keely has been working in the field for over 15 years with experience in several settings, including Partial Hospitalization, outpatient, and in-home therapy. She is able to provide in-person therapy or telemedicine (online) sessions. Her office is located in Nurture, a wellness marketplace in Denver. She is pleased to join this community of health and wellness providers and services because it allows her clients to take advantage of holistic health and fitness services that can compliment their therapy.
I utilize evidenced based interventions from both acceptance and commitment therapy and trauma-informed care principles in my practice. I graduated in 2017 from the University of Denver with my Masters in Social Work and have been providing both inpatient and outpatient treatment since that time. My education and both, personal and professional experiences have allowed me to develop skills to work with diverse, often marginalized populations, such as members of the LGBTQIA+ population or those where English is not their first language. My specialities for work center around severe mental illnesses, such as: schizophrenia and other thought disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. Typically clients I work with have the above noted challenges, but have also experienced other stressors in their relationships, employment, and/or with addiction(s) of some kind.

I believe in a collaborative healing approach. Together, we identify areas of concern and develop strategies for change. I also believe in exploring the underlying causes of our struggles. My approach is varied, taking and blending techniques from a variety of sources, rather than relying on a single system of intervention. I strive to create a safe environment for my clients to explore their world in an authentic way. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Colorado. Individual Therapy - Recognizing the need for change can be exciting. The path forward is sometimes unclear, and at times, overwhelming. Together, we will develop a plan for the change you desire. Over time, this change can become long-lasting, and transformative. Couples Counseling - We all bring our personal history and experience to relationship. I believe that sharing this story with your partner in different ways can reveal a deeper level of understanding and intimacy. A new way of relating announces itself; revealing entirely new possibilities in your relationship.
Now welcoming new clients. I have a passion for working with clients who come from complex family systems and are ready to break away and heal from harmful generational patterns. Clients come to me when they are struggling to re-connect with the authentic version of themselves and/or want to heal from relational wounds and deepen their connection with others. It can be hard to exist authentically in the world due to trauma, societal expectations, and systemic concerns, but becoming the best version of yourself is possible. I utilize an empathetic, humanistic, and strength-based approach. I recognize that all of my clients are unique and, as such, have diverse wants, needs, goals, and expectations of self. I will meet you where you are at, help you identify what the best version of yourself looks like, and help to unpack the roadblocks along the way. I believe in humanizing the experience of therapy and view the therapist-client relationship as an active agent for change. To share your vulnerabilities, fears, and apprehensions with someone is courageous and it is my honor to walk alongside you on this journey!

“The real warriors in this world are the ones that see the details of another’s soul…they are the sensitive souls that understand that before they could be a light they first had to feel the burn.” -Shannon L. Adler. I too, identify as one of those sensitive souls (HSP), and am excited about working alongside other real warriors in an often insensitive world. As a fellow adoptee as well, I can relate with those who may have experienced this grief as well, and the trauma often surrounding that. Through Brainspotting, Nuerofeedback, CBT, and some integrated approaches, I’m excited to begin working at this practice and help others through these various modalities. Even if you don’t identify as a HSP, I’d love to work with you and help you through whatever difficulties you may be experiencing. I’m most passionate about nature and the outdoors, so aside from offering normal in office therapy, will be offering both virtual sessions, as well as walk and talk therapy. Nuerodivergents, and those with sensitive nervous systems are amongst populations I love working with.
