You can do hard things, but you're tired, or wondering if things have to be this hard. You take care of yourself, but you still feel lonely or worried. People on the outside might say you're crushing it, but on the inside, sometimes you feel you're being crushed. You have big questions for which there may be no answers. I live in the same world you do, with its profound beauty and heartbreaking flaws. I strive to connect with my clients authentically, and sit with them as we contemplate difficult questions. If you are looking for a warm and collaborative space to process your emotions and maybe get some podcast recommendations along the way, we might be a good fit. Oh, and if the phrase “Highly Sensitive Person” means something to you (or feels like it should), I’ve got you. My clinical expertise is with the young adult population, having spent a decade working in institutions of higher education. My private practice clients are typically in the 18-40ish age range. At this time, my practice is fully online via HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing. Please note, this modality is not suitable for everyone.
I have been a School Counselor for 16 years and because of this I have worked with people dealing with many different things. I have an office and I can work with you in my office but I happy to meet with you anywhere.
Explore yourself and your relationships in a safe space where individuals and couples can ask their questions, speak their truth, look within, and grant one's self permission to feel, be supported, and evolve. Sessions can take place indoors at the office or outdoors, whether it be sitting alongside a river bed, walking a forest trail, or climbing a rock wall. Therapy is a leap of courage and a significant commitment to yourself and those around you. Mental health is achieved through life experiences and managing the happenings of life that unfold before you. You are the ambassador of your mental health!

My clients are often motivated, high-achievers who struggle with anxiety or feeling like they are 'not enough' and may go to perfectionism, substances, or a combination to cope. Using mindfulness breathing techniques and talk therapy focused on clarifying your values, I'm here to provide relief!
It's been an endless search for a therapist who really gets you. Someone who can dive into your problems without making you feel you have to compartmentalize important parts of your life. Someone who can be a safe sounding board whatever comes up. I want you to know it's ok to show up however you're feeling that day. It's ok to open up at your own pace. I will be right here beside you as you discover unique pathways towards resilience, fulfillment and fun. I center the needs of non-binary & other LGBTQ people in my practice. I help people navigate: stress management and resilience; emotional impact of chronic illness; family of origin issues; and enhancing fulfillment in all sorts of relationships through increased self-knowledge, communication, and collaboration. I believe therapy is most effective when it is a dynamic, collaborative process that integrates the wisdom of our body, mind and spiritual self. I use various approaches including Brainspotting, Heartmath, and mindfulness-based somatic therapy, that allow us to access the deep healing potential of brain, body and mind. These days, students face difficult decisions and life situations and must navigate complicated futures and relationships. I specialize in working with young people who are struggling with these things and want to find better ways to cope. Frequently, I see students who are good at solving complex problems. On the other side of this advantage, they sometimes suffer from perfectionism, anxiety, depression, or relationship problems. When addressed, these conditions can be alleviated. I provide an easy space to talk together about the things that you're up against -- and you'll not be alone with it. Your/our work in this way will alleviate distress, practically and emotionally. I no longer accept insurance, so our work together is completely private. If any of this resonates, I'd be happy to chat and see what's possible. All best wishes in every arena! Anna

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling lost and isolated by persistent grief or conflicting expectations. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you feel truly understood and valued. I earned my master's degree in 1989 and my doctorate in 2016. If you are seeking support to navigate life's challenges and want a counselor who will listen with empathy and help you feel seen, I invite you to connect with my practice. Together, we can find your path forward.

At Ellie, we're transforming the culture of mental health, by creating inclusive spaces where everyone can feel like they belong. Our therapists bring compassion and creativity to every session so you can bring your authentic self. We celebrate the diversity of our clients, families, co-workers, and a holistic approach that integrates the various identities we hold, which include, but are not limited to: race, ethnicity, class, gender identity, sexuality, age, religion, and ability. At Ellie, all are welcome.
My practice primarily serves LGBTQ+, queer, trans, and gender-expansive adults, alongside individuals navigating complex trauma, relational patterns, and perinatal mental health concerns. My clinical approach is supportive, affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in relational and attachment-based frameworks. I integrate an awareness of how systems of power, identity, and lived experience shape mental health, and I strive to hold both individual healing and broader context in view. I have specialized focus in complex trauma, including childhood trauma, relational trauma, and attachment wounds. Many of my clients are exploring identity development, processing experiences of minority stress, or seeking a therapeutic space where they can fully express their gender and sexual identities without needing to justify or defend them. I also provide affirming care for individuals during pregnancy, postpartum transitions, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and other reproductive experiences. I am particularly mindful of the unique emotional and systemic considerations that may arise for LGBTQ+ individuals and families during these periods. While no therapeutic space can be perfectly free from the impact of broader social forces, I am deeply committed to creating a therapy environment that feels brave, collaborative, and respectful. I engage in ongoing consultation, supervision, and continuing education to support culturally responsive and identity-affirming care. My work is guided by trauma-informed principles, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and respect for client autonomy and self-determination. I view therapy as a collaborative process where clients are supported in deepening self-understanding, strengthening resilience, and moving toward meaningful change.

We are all a product of our stories— the good, the bad, and everything between. Many times, we aren’t aware of how rooted we are in past beliefs and relationship narratives or how deeply they’ve impacted our current choices and decisions. Therapy allows us to uncover the different sides of ourselves, to unlearn unhelpful beliefs and to emphasize positive ones. Together, we can create a collaborative environment that will help you gain a greater sense of self-awareness and self-esteem. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, and PTSD with a range of modalities including EMDR and IFS. Focused on college students and adults. My therapeutic approach has been described as warm, positive, and creative. My intuitive and down-to-earth approach paired with my clinical expertise will create a foundation for you to feel safe and seen, listened to and understood. We’ll work together to get you on a path toward renewal and the understanding of self. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach. I get to know each of my clients individually to devise a plan that will best work for them. Currently, I am located in Bozeman, Montana and am dually licensed in Montana and Colorado and see individuals via telehealth. I look forward to connecting with you!
I work primarily in the areas of addiction, adoption, trauma, and spiritual needs. As an addiction counselor, I work primarily with young men and women struggling to overcome compulsive use of drugs, alcohol, pornography, and internet usage. This may range from life-destructive addiction to those just beginning to see that their use is bringing things they don't want. As an adoption counselor, I work to help adult adoptees confront the issues that may or may not be stemming from being given up for adoption. And as a trauma therapist, I work with the mind-body connection to help those calm their nervous system, and reclaim a clear mind. Finally, all of my work entails the use of mindfulness, and working with the body's response to the mind. This makes my approach very suitable for those beginning to connect to their own sense of spirituality.
