Life has been so unpredictable these days. The constant ups, downs, and changes make us feel so depleted and uncertain. No matter how hard you try, it's like you can never regain your footing and are constantly stumbling along. You're not sure which way you are headed and you just want some clarity and direction. You want a space you can go to think through your thoughts and finally take a deep cleansing breath. Let's take that breath together and begin the process of finding your footing again. Based on my years of training, experience, and skills, I believe that the path to healing begins with you, your unique journey through life, and unbecoming parts that no longer serve you. In our work, I will walk with you through this healing journey to find who you are meant to become on the other side. It's time for you to take that deep breath and begin moving one foot in front of the other. You have struggled to find your direction long enough. Let's work together to find your footing again, and get back on your journey through life.

When life feels like too much to hold on your own, there is overwhelm, anxiety, uncertainty, or you could just use some extra support, therapy can be a beautiful choice. Therapy is many things; understanding old, habitual patterns, processing painful or confusing emotions, cultivating resources, reclaiming pleasure, and developing a trusted relationship with another person to process the most vulnerable parts. If talk therapy has already been tried and feels stale, then art and creativity, somatics, nervous system awareness, and nature connection can offer a profound alternative in your therapeutic journey. This is where I come in. I weave together art and creativity, somatics, nature-connection, and mindfulness. As well as reflection, contemplation, and talking to integrate. I work well with themes of identity, times of transition, expansion, self-compassion, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, decision making, burn-out, relationship dynamics, addiction, trauma, and parts work.

I specialize in women's mental health (child-free by choice, career advancement & difficulties, relational dynamics, high-power positions, personal growth focus), and LGBTQ+, transgender, and non-binary focused care, including surgery support letters. I help clients make sense of their lives through connecting with their own emotional experiences. I recognize the influence that injustice, oppression and family upbringing can have. I work to frame the emotional struggles in terms of what they are - powerful survival mechanisms that served you well in the past, yet need to be revisited to further grow. Many clients enter therapy feeling vulnerable. Through working on empowerment, from a feminist and queer theory lens, I help the client learn that they are in charge of their lives outside of therapy. It is my hope that through therapy, I am able to assist my clients in living a more congruent, fulfilling, and meaningful life. I am a PSYPACT provider.

It's been an endless search for a therapist who really gets you. Someone who can dive into your problems without making you feel you have to compartmentalize important parts of your life. Someone who can be a safe sounding board whatever comes up. I want you to know it's ok to show up however you're feeling that day. It's ok to open up at your own pace. I will be right here beside you as you discover unique pathways towards resilience, fulfillment and fun. I center the needs of non-binary & other LGBTQ people in my practice. I help people navigate: stress management and resilience; emotional impact of chronic illness; family of origin issues; and enhancing fulfillment in all sorts of relationships through increased self-knowledge, communication, and collaboration. I believe therapy is most effective when it is a dynamic, collaborative process that integrates the wisdom of our body, mind and spiritual self. I use various approaches including Brainspotting, Heartmath, and mindfulness-based somatic therapy, that allow us to access the deep healing potential of brain, body and mind. Check out my website for more info.

I believe in empowering my clients to access and to unfold to their own inner wisdom and brilliance. Rather than providing all the answers or solutions, I facilitate a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can investigate their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My academic journey has taken me to many different countries, and I am passionate about combining my interest in western psychology with the ancient wisdom of Buddhist psychology. I earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Canterbury University, New Zealand (2009) and her master’s degree in motivational psychology from the University in Zurich, Switzerland (2012). She also holds an additional master's degree from Naropa University in contemplative psychology. I bring my unique blend of experiences to her work. Among other adventures, I have worked in Zanskar Valley in Ladakh, Northern India and has studied psychology in Nepal, Indian. I have also taught Yoga and Yoga therapy to athletes. I take a trauma informed approach to therapy, combining her training in Somatic Experiencing with other contemplative approaches as well as elements of IFS, Polyvagal, solution focused therapy, and positive psychology. I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I am accepting new clients who live and/or attend school in Indiana, Colorado or any other state covered by psypact (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). If you’re a college student navigating stress, anxiety, academic pressures, or life transitions, you’re not alone. As a clinical psychologist working from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, I help young adults develop practical skills to manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors more effectively. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, or self-doubt, therapy can provide you with tools to build resilience, confidence, and a greater sense of well-being. College can be an exciting but overwhelming time. Let’s work together to create strategies that empower you to thrive.

As a social worker, I believe in the importance of human relationships and in the dignity and worth of the person. I therefore approach every client as an individual and focus on establishing a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe in each person’s ability to grow and change. I believe that we are inherently well intentioned and are simply learning who we are and how we want to show up in this world. I offer an interpersonal style of Cognitive Therapy, combining the belief that it’s the relationship that heals, with an active, educational, and skill based approach. I hope to inspire a fascination with our minds, ultimately supporting clients in developing a strong and healthy sense of self, where you are no longer servants to your “thinking mind” or “conditioned self”, but rather live from the truth of who you are. I believe that the work lies not in getting rid of the unpleasant or uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, and emotions, rather in changing our relationship with them when they arise, based on a more integrated and clear understanding of ourselves. While I was originally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, most of my clinical experience has been through interpersonal styles of therapy. I believe that the relationship established in a counseling setting is the main priority and factor in the work and growth that is achieved. I therefore aim to foster a relationship with my clients that cultivates authenticity. Through the relationship, grounded in empathy and compassion, I establish a safe and comfortable environment allowing for honest, genuine feedback, ultimately leading to learning and personal growth. I am supportive and directive, while working collaboratively with the client to target issues, minimize symptoms, increase overall wellness, and improve self understanding. Trained in a variety of approaches, I often incorporate many of them in to my treatment based on the individual. My training and experience includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Depression Care Management, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. These approaches are well suited for the treatment of depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and phase of life problems, aiming to teach people to allow for what is happening in the moment without the pressure of trying to change it or fix it, which more often creates increased suffering. They teach us that we do not have to act on every thought and feeling that arises, but we can learn to engage in behaviors that are in line with our values. My approach will often include experiential activities, behavioral experiments, skill building, psycho-education and between session practice. I believe that much of the work done in counseling actually happens between sessions and will therefore check in with you from week to week regarding use of skills, observations of self, and insights gained.
