Figuring out what we're thinking and feeling is an important task that can help us figure out how to go after what we really value. I help college students, especially men, identify their thoughts and feelings so they can pursue what they value and communicate more effectively with the important people in their life. I have almost 10 years of experience working with people to figure out what's important and pursue it in a way that builds confidence and improves well-being.
We often feel trapped by our circumstances, voiceless in our relationships and powerless to cause significant change in our lives. But whether you are seeking individual, couples, or group therapy, you have taken a leap into the process of healing. With curiosity and a fresh perspective, I aim to empower you to reclaim your voice, work towards the change you seek, and to meet your authentic self. Though you have already taken the first step, I hope to foster the healing process even further by providing a deeply caring, non-judgmental atmosphere. It has been important for me to work with a wide breadth of clients. I have experience with diverse age groups, races, gender identities, and sexual orientations, and have worked in community mental health, residential treatment, school settings, and private practice. If you are are seeking a space to explore feelings connected to lack of motivation, avoidance, anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty in platonic and romantic relationships, and feeling burnout from your current way of moving through the world, know that there is hope of having a different experience of yourself, your relationships and the world around you. Within working with a wide breath of clients, I have a passion for men’s mental health and working with young men and the issues that come up in their lives today. Through it all, however, my approach has always been focused on the human in front of me, and in meeting them where they are. I work with my individuals, couples and groups to help you gain a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. With a psychodynamic lens and a belief that as a species we all have the need to connect, I look forward to hearing from you to see how we may feel about working together.

Life is hard. Like, really hard. And you're doing all the right things; but you still feel anxious. You can't seem to stop overthinking everything. You are feeling more and more insecure and are worried about feeling like a burden to others. You've tried to rationalize your thinking, but aren't getting anywhere. And now, that inner critic has become so loud and so present, that it's hard to hear or believe anything else. This is what I often hear from clients, and I get it - I've been there too. I understand what it's like to be labelled as "sensitive" and viewing emotions as a weakness. It's hard to figure out how to feel confident in who you are while living up to others' expectations. To feel constantly worried about "doing the right thing" and struggling with feeling "selfish" when you're trying to set boundaries. I help those who are excessively worried, struggling with low self-esteem, and experiencing relational distress gain confidence in being their authentic selves. I help my clients learn how to cope with their emotional experiences while practicing self-compassion. Emotions are not our enemy; in fact, emotions have a purpose. Utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and mindfulness - I help clients learn how to use their emotions to connect with their inner selves and identify patterns and themes that wreak havoc in their lives. If you find yourself tired of feeling chronically defeated and are ready for change- it's time to start your journey of self-healing and growth.
We are starving to discover the truth, to show the world who we really are, and we need to have our truth held with compassion. We all want to experience being fully seen. We want to feel connected to others. Sadly, many of us don’t often experience being seen in a non-judgmental light. My strength as a therapist is in my capacity to recognize your preciousness and your capacity for wholeness, while helping you to align with your truth. I work with individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, and groups to heal past wounds and evolve out of patterns of self-sabotage. Throughout our work I will support you in cultivating self-compassion, resilience and empowerment. I focus on the impact of trauma, and a variety of disorders including anxiety, depression, insomnia, personality disorders, eating disorders and chronic pain issues. Within a trusting therapeutic relationship, my clients and I co-create a foundation which allows clients to hone into their intuition, improve their relationships, decrease emotional suffering, and increase their overall joy. I use a mindfulness-body-centered approach, integrating many modalities, cultural responsiveness and evidenced-based research.

I offer relational, culturally affirming psychotherapy and supervision for individuals seeking depth, support, and authenticity. Grounded in my identity as a Black female relational psychotherapist, my work centers the impact of culture, power, and systemic context on both personal healing and clinical practice. •Group Mentorship for Emerging Practice Owners: I am opening a dedicated space to coach mid-level psychotherapists who are ready to navigate the transition into private practice, blending clinical wisdom with practical business mentorship. •Relational, Culturally Affirming Supervision/Mentorship for Therapists: Appreciating the weight we are all carrying, I am continuing to offer a reflective, iterative space specifically for fellow healers, grounded in a culturally affirming framework. What is your relationship with food like? Is meal time an unavoidable chore, or something you find yourself obsessing over? Maybe the thought of certain foods, or even seeing them in the store sends you into a tailspin. If you work hard to limit your intake, postpone it, or try to eliminate it by any means necessary, you may have an eating disorder (ED). I have extensive knowledge and experience at outpatient, inpatient and residential levels of specialty care for EDs. I’ve come to know that there is no such thing as the “classic patient,” and the manifestation of an ED occurs for everyone at unique times regardless of socioeconomic status, faith, sexuality or race. I can help explore your relationship with nutrition and your body, enhance your strengths and support network, and guide you as you build a foundation of unconditional respect for yourself, that fosters growth and preparedness for the next phase in your life.
Hi, welcome to my practice! My main goal is to help you rediscover your true self. My approach to psychotherapy is holistic. Healing is most effective if it addresses the full range of the human experience, including body, mind and spirit. This understanding is rooted in my personal journey of healing in different wisdom traditions of the world. I have received training in shamanic traditions of South, Central, and North America. I completed my yoga teacher training in India, studied massage therapy in Thailand and have practiced Chinese martial arts for several years. Additionally, I worked for three years as a wilderness field guide in a wilderness treatment program with and emphasis on addiction. In my practice, I focus on somatic or body-based therapy, as well internal family systems and transpersonal psychotherapy. Some of my areas of expertise are trauma, addiction, sexuality, identity, anxiety and depression. I do talk therapy, as well as ketamine and cannabis-assisted therapy. I am devoted to being an unconditional support to my clients, walking beside them as they heal their deepest wounds and rediscover the wisdom of their body along the way.
My passion lies in creating a safe, inclusive space where individuals feel heard, valued, and supported in their counseling journey. I approach each person’s life story with genuine curiosity and compassion, striving to meet them where they are with authenticity and care. I am dedicated to expanding my experience and deepening my understanding of diverse mental health needs. I empower clients by fostering resilience, self-discovery, and growth. I incorporate creativity into counseling, helping clients express themselves, process emotions, and build coping skills in meaningful ways. I am committed to walking alongside clients with empathy and understanding. If you're seeking a supportive space to navigate life’s challenges, I’d be honored to work with you.
For over 25 years I have worked as a social worker, life coach and therapist with children, adolescents and adults. Since I was a child I knew that I wanted to be a counselor helping others in their time of need. At some point in life's journey you may experience a time where you feel you may benefit from some extra support and guidance, let me help you on the road to hope and healing. I believe in a mutual therapeutic relationship working together as a team towards the client's goals. Starting therapy and sharing issues that have become challenging is a hard and yet courageous step in your healing process. As a therapist I am honored to be able to share in this journey and hold the emotions that come with this. I consider myself to be an eclectic therapist, taking into consideration the individuals uniqueness and needs before implementing techniques and strategies. I use an honest and direct approach in a non-judgemental and compassionate way. With the help of different modalities CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused and EMDR I can help you find a path toward inner peace and joy.

My approach is to connect with you, to meet you right where you are in your life. I won’t presume to know what’s right for you (it’s really you that’s the expert when it comes to what’s right for you.) Sometimes, confusion clouds your ability to find your way – that’s why you’re here… My experience and training will help guide you back to health and wellness. I’ll join you as you do the work, so that you’re not alone working your way back. I can see you clearly, even when you can’t. For me, it’s simply natural to relate to you in whatever state you are in. Life is sometimes messy, ugly, embarrassing, painful, or shameful – but I see more than what you are going through or feeling in the moment. I am good at joining with you in your struggles and will even hold hope when it’s hard for you to do so. Change is often hard and it’s my privilege to share in your journey toward a life filled with less anxiety, deeper meaning, more joy, and relationships that are healthy and secure.
