Mary Scott

I hold dual board certification as a Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FNP, PMHNP) with 27+ years of experience in a wide range of professional NP roles (clinician, manager, educator). Graduating from Georgetown University with a BSN, I practiced as an RN and 10 years later completed a master’s degree at the University of New Mexico leading to FNP certification. After decades of involvement in health promotion activities that have dovetailed with my career, the mental health challenges that I observed while working on the front lines of the pandemic inspired me to complete my second master’s degree.

I regard my career as more of a calling than a job. My passion and privilege are to offer consultation from a compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic perspective. My intent is to promote patient involvement in and understanding of how their goals and plan of care can support their healing journey toward a purposeful life.

After growing up in Washington, D.C., I moved to Santa Fe, NM to complete certification in massage therapy and teach yoga. I’m delighted to have decades calling Colorado home. Now, I live in Boulder and enjoy activities in nature (all seasons and ecosystems), care for animals, travel adventures, service opportunities, music as well as studying yoga and tai chi for more than 30 years.
