Jasmine Wilson, LCSW, SEP
College can be exciting, meaningful, and full of possibility. It can also be really hard.
Maybe you’re trying to keep up with classes while working, navigating friendships or relationships, thinking about your future, and wondering how everyone else seems to be handling it all. You may look capable from the outside while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of yourself.
I work with college students and young adults who tend to put a lot of pressure on themselves. You might overthink your decisions, worry about disappointing people, compare yourself to everyone around you, or have a hard time knowing what you actually want when there are so many expectations about what you should be doing.
Therapy can be one place where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll get curious about what’s making things hard right now while also paying attention to the patterns underneath it. We might notice how quickly you become hard on yourself, what happens when someone is disappointed in you, why it’s difficult to slow down, or how easy it is to lose sight of your own needs when you’re focused on everyone else.
My approach is somatic, relational, and depth-oriented. That means we’ll talk about what’s happening in your life while also paying attention to your emotions, your body, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped how you see yourself and move through the world. I draw from Somatic Experiencing®, NARM, and psychodynamic therapy, and we’ll move at a pace that gives you room to understand yourself without feeling like you have to get therapy “right,” too.
The goal isn’t to give you all the right answers. It’s to help you better understand the patterns you’ve developed, reconnect with what matters to you, and build more trust in yourself as you make decisions about your relationships, your future, and the person you’re becoming.
If you’re looking for a space where you can bring the anxiety, uncertainty, relationships, pressure, and everything else you’re trying to figure out, I’d love to connect. I offer free 15-minute consultations to talk through what you're needing support with and for us to see if we might be a good fit to work together.
