As a trauma-informed therapist, my ideal client is someone who has experienced significant trauma, whether it's from childhood adversity, a recent life event, abusive relationships, or ongoing stressors. They may struggle with symptoms of anxiety, depression, or PTSD, often feeling disconnected from themselves or their emotions. They may have challenges trusting others, forming relationships, having intrusive thoughts, and wrestling with flashbacks. These symptoms impact their daily functioning such as managing household responsibilities, maintaining work, academic responsibilities, and social connections. I specialize in helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, familial conflict, grief, relationships concerns, PTSD, and substance abuse related concerns using evidence-based practices such as trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I want to acknowledge that reaching out for support can be a deeply vulnerable step, especially if you’ve experienced trauma. I’m here to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can express your feelings and experiences at your own pace. Together, we can work on understanding how your past has shaped your present, and I’ll be there to support you.
